I'm from Corpus and when Fiesta De La Flor was still around it would absolutely blow my mind over how many people from all over the world came just to celebrate her music! They’ve even turned down many big projects because they didn’t want there to be profit. The family doesn’t rely on Selena to make a living either and they each have their own jobs. They clearly made this out of love for Selena and for the newer generation of fans and Selena would love it. People wanna make stories up of this family so bad 🙄

@@strawberrybbt1362 suzette did the collaboration with MAC and was paid for that. A.B profits off of her music for being a writer. Also the whole family got cuts of the production of the movie and series. They sued Chris to not release his book because they OWN her image.
The whole reason the movie was made is so no one profited off them. If this was about Fandom they wouldn't be getting shops on etsy to pull product because it is and Image of selena.

Even now, over 27 years after her passing, Selena is out - selling many current artists. That's virtually unheard of in the world of music. And, did you know that, among her other achievements, Selena is the only female musical artist to ever have 5 albums on the charts at the same time? Only Elvis, The Beatles, and Garth Brooks have done the same. Amazing!
Me being a Polynesian girl and growing up in the 80's-90's. She passed away the year I graduated from high school. Selena was one of my favorite Latino female artist that I loved and adore. Her music will live on ❤️

One of my best childhood memories about 30 years ago is when my family and I would blast Selena’s music throughout the house and car. Even though we don’t speak Spanish, we knew all the words to her songs lol

This is great. I loss my sister in 91 and I would love to be able to hear her voice again , in any capacity. Her birthday was July 24th and I still tear up thinking about her not being here. This has to be hard and great for them at the same time.

I was 6 when she passed away and I’m now 33. My favorite memories as a kid was dancing , singing and dressing like Selena. I saw her for the first time in “dos mujeres un camino” an old Spanish novela and I was instantly drawn to her. I even had her Barbie that looked nothing like her 😂 today she is literally everywhere and her fan based has grown much much more. I hope little girls are inspired to be as care free as she was. I know she made me feel like being silly wasn’t something I should be embarrassed about

This still kills me to this day. My aunt took me to see her in el paso in 89.i was 7. She was a true queen. I feel like she's still here evertime I hear her music. I'm transformed to my first time seeing her. ❤

I remember the day so clearly. It was heartbreaking. She was such a talented young woman. It saddens me still to think her life was just starting and there was so much promise for a successful career and happy family life with her husband. I love the way her voice moves you. I was a little girl, maybe 7 or 8 and I watched the Selena movie with my cousin and ever since been into her as a Mexican-American girl and now woman. Selena was fighting for her family, legacy, and to be mentioned amongst her peers as one of the greats. No one believes for a second that she would've wanted her Legacy to die with her, or would have dissaproved of her family being able to *"cash in"* on their hard work.

The Quintanilla family is doing a beautiful thing for Selena. We will always love her. I did not have the opportunity to take a picture with her when I saw her in Texas in the early 90s at a park where she was performing, but this wonderful memory will forever live in my heart. There was a crowd, I was dancing to her music while holding my baby, she smiled and waved at us.
One thing I really love about Selena’s family they keep her legacy going and keep her alive! This is good. I feel like she would want more of her music to put out to the world!

People were coming to town from all over to show their love for her. I lived around the corner from her little boutique... there was a nonstop flow of traffic by there for the longest time, many cars with writings of love for her written on their windows.

I attended the Selena Tribute Concert last night, and I"m just in Awe of the talent and voice!! I can't imagine what it must had been like to see the real Selena on stage with her band. It was a full house. I know Selena is smiling down. Gone too soon!! So thankful her family is keeping her voice alive!
I love that her music will be playing on radios for this generation and upcoming generation because when her wonderful albums was out it was in my mom era now this one will be in mine and my daughter upcoming generation ❤. The series made me fell in love with Selena music more and got me into her albums.
My opinion is that she was a Beautiful Woman, and gone to soon. May she rest in peace and be remembered as a great artist, and a wonderful human being!!
