It’s been 25 years?! Wow... I still remember the day it happened!! I was at the candy store buying an elote. My next door neighbor ( a Hispanic girl) was crying!! I asked her what was wrong, she said “Selina was murdered”!! At the time I had the slightest idea who Selena was. It wasn’t until I watched the movie ‘Selena’ that I became hooked to her!!!

Chris described it in his book "To Selena with Love" that everyone in the band and the family would jump when Abraham would tell them to jump but he'd tell Chris to jump and Chris would tell him "no".

Chris got married again... had two children and that marriage ended up in divorce. Is really hard to find love when your heart is occupied by a love of 25 years ago.

Just because he has love for his first wife doesn't mean it's the reason they got a divorce. Multiple things could've been happening in that marriage their love probably wasn't as strong as his and Selena's was

Just think of the MASSIVE world tours she'd be going on today. At the time of her passing, she was planning the "Dreaming Of You" tour, which would have taken her to Europe and Asia for the first time. I saw something once where she was talking about what it would feel like to perform in Europe, and she was really excited. But, even though she never got the chance to perform there, they actually did know about her at the time. There was a church in Spain that held a memorial mass for her after her passing that was built to seat 500 people, and 1,500 showed up. And, news organizations from all over the world covered U.S. memorials for her, and the trial of her murderer, which was considered by the press to be as sensational as the O.J. Simpson trial.
If I could go back to one event in history, it would be to her last Houston Astrodome concert. It would've been the experience of a lifetime.

He's adjusted to life without her the best way he knows how. He did remarry and had 2 or 3 children. He's divorced now. But he will ALWAYS love her. Their story just....stopped. Robbed of what could've been. Like I said....death afterwards is an adjustment to a life without that person. I admire him for his strength because I know first hand that it is NOT an easy adjustment to live with.

I've read comments from fans in Poland, England and Australia, to name a few places, which proves that music is "the international language". Everyone loves and can relate to great music. And, of course, there's the beautiful person Selena was, in general. I've always believed that that's a big part of why she was, and remains, so loved by so many.She had such a sweet, genuine nature, despite how famous she became. In her case - unlike many famous people - fame only seemed to enhance Selena's natural kindness and compassion, and she did a lot of good for people through it. That's part of the reason why I've been such a huge fan for so long. For me, it's not just about who Selena was as an artist. She was one of the finest people who ever lived, in general, and truly cared about others, not just the money / applause, and was incredibly humble - none of that "Do you know who I am"? type of attitude with HER. Selena's music and class spoke FOR her.

Besides, back in the 90's, people didn't go around looking for things to be offended by, like so many do today. I actually think everybody got along better THEN than they do NOW. She had a combination of talent, class and charisma that was, and will always remain, incomparable, and carried herself with the humility and grace of a true artist at all times. She introduced the rest of the country, and the rest of the world, to an amazing genre of music so many had not heard of untill then, is the only female musical artist in history to ever have 5 albums on the charts simultaneously, first Tejano artist to have an album attain "gold" status, first Tejano artist to win a Grammy, and the first Latin artist to ever debut at number 1, among other things. She has stars on 3 different walks of fame - 2 in Texas, and 1 in Hollywood, and has been inducted into 4 music halls of fame - ( Tejano, Texas Musicians', International Latin, and Texas Womens' ). Her Hollywood Walk of Fame star ceremony was attended by more people than any other, EVER, and she was given an evening ceremony, which is very rare, and considered a big honor in itself. The last person who was given an evening ceremony was a former member of The Beatles, so that says a lot about how loved and respected Selena is. She truly epitomizes the meaning of the word "legend", and will live on in the hearts and minds of millions around the world forever.

Her english album reminds me of the summer i fell in love with the man of my dreams who then become my husband...25 years later, 2 amazing little boys- we are still in love and growing strong. Every time i hear her songs from that album ( specifically i could fall in love) it brings back the sweetest memories of butterlfies in the stomach, head over heals in love. Rest in heavenly peace sweet angel.

i am not latino but i have always had such a deep connection to her.. I'm a singer and she was a huge influence and one of the main reasons I wanted to sing. I started singing lessons at age 7 after my mom showed her to me and I had her tapes and cds.. such a tragic loss.. i can hardly watch things about her because of the sadness I feel. rip selena quintanilla-pérez🥀

Selena was wonderful. I discovered her when the movie of her life came out with Jennifer Lopez playing her. I fell in love with her music then and there and bought some of her albums. She was one of the best. The world lost a lot when she was killed. I feel cheated that she is not still going strong today.....but then again....if we keep her music alive, she will be.
