    Becky, I have not enough words to express my delight in the opportunity to virtually tour your beautiful country! I love traveling and seeing new places in the world, but probably I will not be able to get ALL of my bucket list checked out in my lifetime. I am grateful to you for beinging so kind and generous to share with us your Western Australia adventure. And, for what is worth, I am in awe of your beautiful art work done in your sketchbook and your incredible patience to document every leg of your trip so beautifully and accurately. Super interesting presentation and entertaining in the same time!

    Becky, what an AMAZING sketchbook tour! You and Nick definitely experienced the trip of a lifetime and got beautiful still and drone videos of it. Nick's drone videos are quite impressive and beautiful. Kudos on all of your paintings and annotations of your trip, simply gorgeous! I almost forgot, I loved the bird on Nick's head, on his hand and back on his head again, too cute! You should do a painting of that for him, well...and for the viewers 😊

    Becky, absolutely, wonderfully stunning video and sketchbook tour! Thankyou for fulfilling one of my lifelong dreams.
    I may have told you before... As teenager (1960's, when Australia was desperate for immigrants) I was planning to take a £10 ticket to immigrate to Australia from the UK. I decided that having my UK nursing qualifications would be sensible, and of course, things changed in the intervening years. I ended up in France instead for a while, and 40 years later, came back.
    I don't regret it, but to have seen some of the things I'd read about / still read about, via this much anticipated video by someone special to me has been a lovely end-of-a-gruelling art project treat. Thank you!
    If you can get hold of a copy of Neville Shute's On The Beach (Kindle edition on UK Amazon is 99p), it's a deeply moving, prophetic story which ends in Australia. I read it as a teenager, and have never forgotten it.

    • @BeckyTregear
      @BeckyTregear  28 дней назад +1

      I'll see if I can find a copy! Nick's parents migrated to Australia from Greece in the late 60's, pretty much that same story that Australia needed immigrants and the money was a lot better here so they could send it back to their families, and also build a better life for themselves. They met through the local Greek community here, and the rest is history, haha! Now Australians whinge about having too many immigrants - the usual cycle! 😂 I bet France would have been fabulous....many of us here dream of migrating to lovely places in Europe so it goes both ways. I love Australia though, except for the heatwaves. Tomorrow is going to be 41 degrees.....oh joy! 🔥

    Amazing! I would love to visit some of those sights. Also there are a few somewhat similar wave rock formations in the US. Maybe you will get to visit and compare someday. Thanks for the fun video!

      I'd love to travel around the US one day! I've been to LA and NY, but not really anything in between. So much to see....so little money.....LOL!

    Hi Becky, That was amazing! Thank you so much for that tour of video footage, artwork, and other tidbits. I quite enjoyed it. But man, you must have been so exhausted at the end!

    Hi Becky, thank you so much for taking us through your sketchbook. It’s incredible and soo much work. I reminisced over some of the beautiful places that I’ve visited too over the years. Would you recommend the Baohong sketchbook? I’m looking for a well priced sketchbook for 2025. Wishing you a very happy Christmas and an extra special New Year. Thanks again 😊🎄✨🎄✨

      @@kathrynwoolcock4943 I'm glad you enjoyed reminiscing! 😊 Yes, I liked the sketchbook. The paper is cotton, which is great. I found paint did kind of sit on the surface for a while before settling in, but otherwise I had no issues. This is the hot press one but the paper is still somewhat toothy. The cold press is a lot rougher by comparison.

    The best part of Adelaide is the zoo.

      Haha! It is a great zoo, we went there during our previous visit to Adelaide a few years ago. I was happy to see the pandas before they went back to China! I think they have other ones there now?

      @ I haven't been for a few years either. I probably saw the same pandas as you🤣. I wouldn’t choose Adelaide for a holiday but I would love to see Perth. Getting too old to cross the Nullarbor though
