I have worked for a trucking company for 17 years (night dispatch 8 years and 9 years maintenance support) and the way they are talking to this driver is unacceptable. It is a safety issue if the driver doesnt feel safe and you cannot tell a driver to drive when they feel that way. If a driver says I dont feel safe you should immediately say shut it down and find a way to repower the load.
As a company that is there business model. After a few lawsuits they "might" change. Other then that the boss is giving hi fives to the dispatchers for talking to the drivers that way.
They're still doing the same. Schedule loads that require you to pc from delivery because you clock is gone & plan next load to pick up as if your 10 hr starts when clock ran out at delivery not when you actually left & got somewhere to sleep.

If you are only known by your truck number, you're in the wrong company. If you were told to take another 10-hour break after being all I have for 20 minutes explain to them at that time if that is not an option because you will be unable to continue. You are starting to fall asleep and you are unsafe you do not discuss it with your dispatcher you inform your dispatcher that you were going to be pulling over to next available safe location in accordance with fscm are regulations pertaining to safe operation of a motor vehicle if he has a question with that we can always kick it up to safety they will tell you to pull it over and try to work with you
Man this hits home.. I think they forget we’re human. Sadly it’s easier for them to place all the blame on the drivers rather than own up to their screw ups. I’d be all kinds of messed up having 2, 10 hour breaks back to back.

Abe was totally disrespected by K&B and these dispatchers. His safety was NOT considered. These pricks were only concerned about the money and the load not the driver lining there greedy pockets. Since Abe put this up I’ve backed him up 100.

Dispatch should never, ever do this, but I get both sides. Gabe should've predicted that his sleep schedule would've been screwed. But also, the night dispatch should've eased off of him Gabe was the better person but he should've predicted this situation. He's not a rookie. I would've raised red flags once they did this to me, which I've done before. But the dispatch should've not been so ruthless. It's a 50/50 problem.

From what I’m hearing there’s “hey I had a lot of break time but I only slept a little bit and now that my people are giving me good ways to get up and get the blood flow, I won’t do that and instead argue rather than go out in the cold and shock my senses into waking up so I can keep my job” iv done that shit before. Not a trucker but made a long ass drive and when I was finna fall asleep I got out and did some jumping jacks and drove that’s last 2 hours.

I'm in the the road warrior program here and I got to say K&B transportation is the real deal! I run 8 weeks straight and fly home for 10 days off but this a big boy company so expect to get called if you take longer than 10 hours on your break and we don't do 34 hour resets either.

You don't accept loads at K&B dumbass, they are 100% forced dispatch besides the burroughs.

Forced dispatch. You cannot deny the load or your fired. He probably had an asshole dispatcher that planned opposite hours.
