I don't know who this guy is, but he does a great version of this song, all credit to the school choir singing in French. Many Dutch people also reisted the Nazis, the song has a universal appeal it's about oppossing tyranny.

I love your voice. I feel the wind, the sun, the river rocks, the Bordeaux, the exotic herbs and rare perfumes. Oh la voix angeliques des enfants. Oh mon Dieu. Thank you Mr John Bliemer.
I think this is a beautiful version of a classic French song. The song was written during world war II to comemorate those who resisted Nazi occupation.
Such a spirit... he seems to really understand the meaning and nuances within the song and brings life experience to it. And look at all those beautiful children with their exquisite voices in chorus; and learning Leonard's songs at such an early age. Great musicianship and women back-up singers, too. [I had to break up my comment into three, separate ones.]

YEs the tribute is a true love of Cohen and his work as a singer/Songwriter, The genre from those years when songs meant something and concerts were still cheap enough to get into. seems money rules the world these days, not sure if the singers wanted it to be his way, Haunting beautifull words and melodies.. yes a true tribute to a great singer/songwriter
Sorry , it is not Leonard Cohen song ...LA COMPLAINTE DU PARTISAN : La Complainte du partisan est une chanson écrite à Londres en 1943 par Emmanuel d'Astier de La Vigerie pour le texte et Anna Marly pour la musique.; origine , mélodie russe....
This is a beautiful tribute to Leonard Cohen! You have a marvelous voice, and I am sure Leonard Cohen is very proud of you here and sees what a terrific job you did as well! You honored him beautifully!

When they poured across the border I was cautioned to surrender This I could not do I took my gun and vanished. I have changed my name so often I've lost my wife and children But I have many friends And some of them are with me An old woman gave us shelter Kept us hidden in the garret Then the soldiers came She died without a whisper There were three of us this morning I'm the only one this evening But I must go on The frontiers are my prison Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing Through the graves the wind is blowing Freedom soon will come Then we'll come from the shadows Les Allemands étaient chez moi Ils me dirent, "résigne toi" Mais je n'ai pas peur J'ai repris mon âme J'ai changé cent fois de nom J'ai perdu femme et enfants Mais j'ai tant d'amis J'ai la France entière Un vieil homme dans un grenier Pour la nuit nous a caché Les Allemands l'ont pris Il est mort sans surprise Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing Through the graves the wind is blowing Freedom soon will come Then we'll come from the shadows

c'est la France notre cœur notre langue et l'amour de la liberté . peuple fière et révolté , je t'aime mon amour
Some more darkness, some less light in this world... Rest in peace, Leonard Cohen!
This song lends itself to such tenderness, such heartfelt emotion. So solitary, yet so universal.. Fantastic..

Pas la desinvolture mais le detachement emotionnel du survivant?
Bel Hommage !
