Great video, Eddie! Good on D'Addario for helping out.
Thanks, Brad!
This fire was devastating to so many people. When I started carrying D’Addario strings I I told them about The Squishy Guitar Project and they put me in contact with their foundation. After this happened I asked them if this was something they could help with and explained it had nothing to do with that nonprofit.
Not only did they give me strings for all 14 of the basses I did for my friend (he had just bought strings for all of them and they were destroyed in the fire) they donated new heads to the drummer that owned the house, a brick of sticks, all kinds of other stuff, and even a piece of custom jewelry for the homeowner’s wife with hand written notes to the homeowner and his wife with heartfelt words of support and encouragement.
D’Addario has been fantastic every step of the way since I began my professional relationship with them. They do so much to give back and that impresses me so much.
I love the pickguard. Never saw one like that before.
Cajun made out of scrap. It’s really something.
Sadly the guy at the end of the video died of cancer. He was a really great person. I’m glad I could restore this for him before it was too late.
Don't let Fender see this video they might make a Fender Custom Shop Relic P Base after this. LOL. I'd buy one. Love that bass.
To be authentic they would have to burn a house down around the line to rellic them properly.
What a good video!!
Thank you my friend!
Perhaps you would enjoy this as well. And please explore and enjoy all the videos I have to offer.

Great video and cool to see the channel growing.
Thank you!
The man that I gave the bass to at the end of the video has a benefit tomorrow because he was diagnosed with cancer and just had surgery. He can’t make it because he is recovering right now so i released this video today so that he could have something to watch while he recovers.
@@REXYLAB awesome 😎
@@johnglynhughes4239 I don’t know if you saw the one from last week but it was a cool bass as well.
@@REXYLAB I didn't but shall watch it tonight 😃
@@johnglynhughes4239 I think you’ll enjoy it. It was quite an experience to live through.
That will make sense when you see the video.
It’s ALIVE!!! Cool resto. I think I would have changed history and swapped in a replica tortoise shell guard. 🍻
If it were mine I probably would have. But how to you tell a lady to swap out the piece her deceased father made for her deceased mother?
I just couldn’t even suggest it. I didn’t have the heart.
@@REXYLAB Yeah I know.👍
@@OdinHammersmith i figured you’d get it.
Awesome vid!
Thanks!
Are you that guy from instagram a little while ago?
@@REXYLAB indeed I am, came from the insta post. Was gonna say the advertising totally worked hahah, I'm a sucker for this kinda stuff
@@clickpond7825 there is more from the fire. There is actually a playlist and one hidden video about a video use signature snare drum.
Plus replacing the truss rod in a 1988 Jackson custom shop bass.
I hope you have enjoy the stuff a much as I did making it. New videos every Saturday.
i once owned a 77 precision, same finish as this one but it had a two ply scratch plate, black with white at the edges. always wanted a precision as my heroes played them. i wanted a 76 - the year of my birth but the 77 was close enough. i hit hard times and sold it for a stupid price. 10 years later the price for these things tripled. i was gutted. wish i'd never sold it.
My heart aches for you my friend. I was so heartbroken about all the awesome gear I sold over the years I replaced it all. It’s great to have this stuff back. I wish the same for you!
“I’m not a girl.”
It’s true, I’m not at all.
