Uzas ended up being one of my favorite characters in 8th legion writing by the time his tale ended. Himself not being too unique, his story was told brilliantly.
His death is sad
After 9 years of constant warhammer lore this is the most incredible Story I have ever listened to.
Books are worth a read if you haven't yet
Second that the books are worth reading. This is just a brief summary and hits only the most basic notes.
Books gave me unrealistic expectations of what the rest of the library was like. Nothing can match these books though. Have read 70 or 80 more since reading these first last year and these just hit different. From the numeral slaves and the get the life below decks and their Stockholm Syndrome,and the thrill when you read the word PreySight and know that it's about to get real.
Night Lords the best
The Night Lords trilogy is one of the best 40k stories I have ever consumes and they are more than worth it. If you liked this video, you will enjoy the full story experience. 🙂

So glad you paid homage to my boy Talos. I honestly hated the Night Lords and found them generally cringe AF until I read this trilogy. Now I love them but only the "Talos" warband lol hopefully we'll get continuation of their arc with his "heir"
i doubt it can fit into 40k canon, a newblood night lord uniting the 8th, it should be impossible, the old high ranking officers could not do it. Only Kurze and Sevatar could ever make it happen imo.

Have you heard/read Throne of Lies? I came across it after downloading the Trilogy (Soul Hunter, Blood Reaver, and Void Stalker).
When I finish work I generally have the intention of either watching a movie, paint or play PS5. But when I see Warhammer content as premium as this I make my camomile tea and I kick back and listen to this masterpiece, thanks mate!

This is brilliant, great work as per usual. I quit 40k in 4th edition and never expected I would return. Then I read the ADB trilogy and it re-ignited the fire. Characters like Sev and Talos are so interesting to me, your channel does them justice.
It's amazing that a traitor can be favored and loved by so many in this setting. I have completed the omnibus at least 5 times now and I tear up every time, but listening to you my friend, really stirs up the emotions. Talos Valcoran, the Prophet from Nostramo, traitor, whose life and subsequent death will forever be remembered, by those who know his tale. Thank you, brother.

Talos has become one of my favorite 40k characters ever. Though I'm a loyalist at heart, the Prophet's story in the Night Lords trilogy is so darn compelling! The Night Lords became one of the most fascinating traitor legions in 30k especially Sevatar, and their 40k story with First Claw was so compelling. So many layers indeed! And man, Uzas' fate is so heart wrenching...
Talos is still a traitor and a monster, and I feel his final fate goes to show that even the traitors don't have "good endings" in this grim dark universe. In some ways, his story is definitely tragic.
ADB was a genius making this trilogy and I agree completely with you about how Talos is built up maybe like an anti-hero, but ther third entry reminds us he is very much a villain. He is a monster putting the teachings of Curze to practice. And fate simply caught up to him after his many sins.

Talos impaling the assassin on his sword, and whispering “ave dominus nox” before igniting the chain sword is one of the coldest and badass moments in warhammer!

I just finished the books about a month ago. I’ve already read Da Big Dakka and half way through the Eisenhorn omnibus. But the Night Lords omnibus will go down as one of my favorites I’m sure anyone who reads it will agree. The 8th has touched my heart in this dark universe. Lol

Of all the traitor legions the night lords are my favourite. Their story and Curze’s story is so tragic yet poetic.
I am so freaking hyped! I managed to find the Night Lords Triology audiobook with the bonus Throne of Lies!

Not even close to being the best.
For those who havent read the books and short stories:
Variel the Flayer survives and extracts Talos' geneseed. He finds Septimus and Octavia, and ends up taking their child, Decimus (the tenth). I'm not sure whether they die or not.
He then implants Talos' geneseed into the child and seeks out the Atramentar to begin the rebuilding of the 8th Legion around the new Prophet whose powers now come at no detriment.
The final short story is a young Decimus, with Variel and the Atramentar by his side, assembling a meeting of all the various Knight Lord warbands to prove he has inherited Konrad Curzes ability to predict the future. He accurately predicts who will join and who will die. This is right before the fall of Cadia.
The reason the Aeldarii wanted Talos dead is because the newly assembled Knight Lords led by the new Prophet Decimus destroy an Aeldari Craft World.
It is A CRIME you don't have more subscribers with the quality of work you put out
