Florian Kirchner mostly get the labels bc of drugs and partying and so majority of people look at us like trash when we more nerdy and tech and more down to earth so other humans initially strike assumptions and/or labels bc of clothing, rowdiness, and jealousy towards our type of differences and lack of small talk ... 😝🤓🤩
I push my fingers into my pies It's the only thing I really like to bake But it's made of all the things I like to taste Jesus it never ends, cooking takes too much time If the (hunger) pain goes on.....
I've met Corey 3 times...on one occasion actually hung out with him before a show...he is EXACTLY the person you see in this interview. He's down to earth with no ego and truly appreciates his fans
Bruno Silva corey kinda treated it as if he was talking to his great grandfather, you can't really call him out on his shit just because he's so old aha
+Bruno Silva In television, the anchor has a limited time in which he has to cover all questions and topics. Larry does this in a really professional manner, and I think that Corey knows this as well. I also work at a local TV station as an editor and I know how important the air time within the program is.
Proudest accomplishment, "the fact that my kids are pretty good people" All father's everywhere felt that man. This dude has awards, money, fame... But it all comes down to family. He's got his priorities right
I remember trying to explain Slipknot to my granddad once. It was about as uncomfortable and disjointed as this. To his absolute credit, Taylor figured out how it was going to go early and dealt with it with more humility and patience than he probably should have. Fuck, imagine if it was Clown in that seat.
lmfao, imagine if craig sat in that seat. "so craig, how about some questions." "......" "please?" "......." "cmon man." "......" -continues sitting there-
I love how Corey adapts to LK's mode of questioning. There are some points where LK allows Corey to really expand on an answer, but there are times when LK is very paint by numbers and doesn't give Corey mich of a chance to fully answer but Corey goes with it accordingly.
Obviously hes done reseach and whatnot but there will be people watching the show thhat wont know who slipknot are so its his job to get everything across as clear as possible, do you not know how an interview works?
I would argue that that's what makes him a great interviewer. He asks questions that maybe he's not totally into but he knows the audience is. He's just old but most definitely wise.
Nah, that's always been his style, and sometimes he gets some really genuine answers. I feel that sometimes he even asks decoy, irrelevant questions, then quickly throws the real one mid answer.
Interviews like this just make me love him even more. He seems so down-to-Earth, thoughtful, intelligent, well spoken, etc. He'd be a blast to hang out with.
Don't feel that Larry king paid enough respect to Paul's memory, very quickly and harshly brushed the subject. Especially such a polarising and impactful moment for the band, perhaps he didn't understand the true impact of his death; but, as with any death of a friend, he should expect a lot of pain surrounding the subject.
Good and interesting interview BUT King interrupts Corey quite often for more questions when Corey is about to tell something deeper, more interesting to the previous question. I would have loved to listen to all his side stories but it's always ''next question'' here.
I think its because its a timed interview so he has to get as many answers as he can in the half hour, so when he think he gets all he needs he moves on to the next one
and He asks like three times if corey uses mask at stone sour xd and I consider so disrespectufl when he said: "do you consider heavy metal is music?"...
Most big shot radio/TV hosts do it. It drives me fucking nuts as well. I agree with you. If you ask your guest a question, allow your guest to answer that question. It's common courtesy.
What an awesome interview. Corey is so intelligent and can answer questions so well. Love that Stone Sour are bringing out an album of covers next year. I've wanted them to do that for ages. Corey does great covers.
I concurr ... but wtf about Larry King? Bored, always interrupting, has no clue about Corey's work ... If this interview would have been done by anyone else but Larry King ... that interviewer would have been fired right away, I imagine. Unbearable.
I totally agree with you Peter. Larry King didn't even know what band wore the masks. You're right, if it had been any other interviewer they would have had a lot to answer for. It's actually the first time I've seen a King interview. I'm in Australia and we don't get him over here. Not impressed with Larry King but greatly impressed with Corey. :)
Peter Pohn I think that was LK's role - to be a not-knowing interviewer, to be impartial, to bring out from Corey as much as possible about music, Slipknot and Stone Sour. This way a not-knowing watcher can learn more about Corey, the bands and music, because, let's face it, the general audience of LK is different from the general fan-base of Corey and his bands.
Cornel, that's actually an interesting take on LK. I will admit that the questions he asked would allow someone who hadn't heard of the bands, to get to know them and to get to know Corey.
As the frontman of 2 heavy metal bands that sings harsh and very loud music with scary topics/themes to talk about, Corey is super educated and humble guy and very different as a person. Love it.
He phrases his question in a way that his mostly older audience, that doesn't know much about metal can relate to and understand more clearly. Not due to a lack of preparation.
Larry should be a better role model about how to communicate better... people watch him and turn into robots because thats how you will be accepted and famous... set an better example especially about respecting your communication partner, maybe?
Not my dad, he listens to metal as well. He doesn't really like Slipknot though, he likes some of their songs, same with Korn, but he likes Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth etc.
dude dude Eh. Well. For their time they could have been considered a genre of metal. Metal has meant a lot of different things over the past few decades. Blue Oyster Cult is described as a “Heavy Metal” band, and their stuff is comparatively tame to modern metal.
Maybe at the beginning, but as the interview goes on, I think Larry becomes more and more eager to know more about Corey. At 21:31 when Larry says "You're an interesting guy Corey", he sounds very sincere.
the guys a woefull interviewer. its like a job interview really dry really bad. larry king, can read questions off a sheet like a robot come on man,put a bit of personality into like,be less like a drone
I see were you're coming from. I just like that he is trying to get the most out of this interesting musician. He knows the fans of Corey want to know as much as they can.
Asking the question ‘Is Heavy Metal even music?’ to the vocalist with the second widest vocal range in popular music is kind of ridiculous. (That’s not hyperbole by the way, he really does have a five and a half octave range).
Late reply, but Larry King was an old man. He came from a generation that didn’t understand loud hard rock guitar music. Cut him some slack. He was born in the 1930s.
Good interview. I don't mind that Larry interrupts because he gets more out of Corey, instead of him going on about something on one question. Quick and to the point.
People need to stop disrespecting Larry. He's straight to the point on each question, okay he could of been more sympathetic about Corey's band mate, but Corey is clearly happy with how the interview went. He answered all the questions happily and well, I'm sure if anything pissed him off it would show. Chill guys
It wasn't the best interview, but that's just because King is completely clueless about metal(not surprising of course). I didn't think that there was anything wrong with how he asked anything. That's just how he is, and like you said Corey didn't seem annoyed or anything.
I think this is a great interview for people who don't really know metal music that well, its good for more people to understand different kinds of music. Larry King isn't THAT bad. Some questions did on the spot.
A classy guy, very easy on the eyes too, he's got that Paul Newman style good genes thing going for him. Don't know why people find fault in Larry King's interviewing, he got a lot of interesting information out of him and kept things moving when Corey might have otherwise over-explained something, and he seemed to be genuinely impressed by him at the end. Great interview by a master of the art.
So I literally know nothing about Slipknot, only heard the classics. I'm in no way a "metal" fan but I found this super interesting. I never would've thought he'd be as reserved and honest as he is. Seems like a stand up dude.
So Corey Taylor wanted Slipknot to have masks because they didn't want to be noticed for their physical appearance but goddamit who the fuck doesn't have a huge crush on this guy?? He's fucking hot.
HAHAHA awww bless anyways if I was a chick then id have a crush on the guy. Anyways what you were saying about the reason behind the masks I heard some where in 1998 or 1999 they had a hard tme getting signed for a record label company ( accompany that signs you and sells your material one step before getting global scale in the music business.) So I heard it was a fresh very rare seen in the 90's so if they wore masks they might get signed because the musics gd and the masks look cool it brought more attention to the band, also the masks originate from Shawn Crahan he brought in in the early days old slipknot 1996-1998 and he brought it in to scare everybody when working on the MFKR album or self debut album I cant remember which one and they whole group fell in love with the masks. Also soon after the masks are uniquely and individually made they created them themselves and they have a emotional connection to it to each masks that come out through different Era's. ill explain I think joey chose his first mask because it was the japan style mask his mother used to scare hoim with a child so therefore his first taste of the slipknot style/music, corey taylor chose his mask because it represented what he felt and thought at the time he was in a bad place in the older days so they have a unique feel and meaning to each mask, the Iowa version of corey masks look like the first one but has a battered look to it this is because well I think I heard Iowa was a bad time for them and he developed self harm and alcohol abuse and he had a bad poor childhood so the mask represents depression suicidal tendencies and melancholy, and vol 3 was a hidden face to disguise or reveal bits of him he wanted no other to see I think anyway. Theres deep meaning behind slipknot song masks and opinion's and that's why myself a 17 year old british male love them, I love stone sour too
Andy Dunn I've heard different stories as to why they wear masks. But I definitely believe this one since he, Corey, has explained it several times too.
Kudos to Corey for holding up in this, I know Larry wasnt always easy to answer sometimes, but especially the questions about metal, I felt he answered honestly and awesomely. Its gotta be a feat in itself to be asked on this show so you must feel like youve made it if you are, shame that no one else will have the privilege, RIP
Tony Hernandez From what I remember of that, it was a good back and forth, Joe either knew Maynard well enough, or at least did his homework. Larry King sounds like he just reads off cue cards and doesn't really give a fuck about his guests. Which is something that would probably piss off Maynard.
Larry king was a good interviewer and had such great questions the majority of the time. I just wish he would have slowed down to actually let the person fully answer all the good questions he had. I understand he was on a network so he had a time crunch. But man if Larry king was still here today and was able to run a podcast type interview where he could take his time communicating with his guests, that would have been amazing!
Corey does us fans and metal and himself and the whole scene in general a lot of credit, come over as a very intelligent guy.. ill be seeing them live next tuesday here in manchester, and i cannot wait...
Sith'ari666 Not a fan of Sinatra, however I am very into the greats like Vivaldi and Mozart due to my musical influence, I've played music in orchestras and symphonies all my life. I do get down to some thrash hahahah, I like just about every genre of metal and rock but I love classical and country.
Hello! Corey has been on Larry King before. I thought their conversation was great and found out new things about Corey that I never knew before! Great interview!
Wow.. Larry is the man. He interviewed Corey AND my friend Danny's mother and g/f(after he passed with 3 other firefighters in the California wildfires back in 06') RiP Danny boy ✊🍻
Never realized how much I liked Larry King He had such a genuine "no BS" style while still being so relaxed and conversational. Feels like one of those guys with no enemies.
i have to say I've never listened to metal or rock in the past, usually dance/house but when i listened to slipknot it was like a breath of fresh air .... i listen to one of there songs and i feel free to be myself. Since then I've given up drugs and kept it straight all thanks to this band
Larry deserves more praise here. What a great interview. I think Larry gave many artists a platform to talk seriously but dude definitely asked emotional thought provoking questions
Larry King is seriously one of the best people on the planet!!! So fucking respectful no matter who he is talking to. He asks the best questions and seems to really care about the interview.
I have no problem Larry asking "stupid questions" that's how I would act if I had to do an interview on something I knew absolutely nothing about. He's a good sport for trying and I actually think he likes people who are very different from himself.
It’s his interview style I think really. He’s very to the point and always has been I don’t understand why people don’t understand he interviews everyone’s the same. He’s also older and if metal isn’t his thing he’s personable and like a true journalist people be by being totally unbiased.
Comments suggest that Larry was constantly cutting Corey off in boredom - but Larry King has interviewed everyone and does fire off questions rapidly to his guests while keeping a professional flow. In fact Larry does tell Corey he is an "interesting guy" so I'm convinced he enjoyed the interview.
Larry King needs to stop doing interviews..pull out of the business. He knows nothing about Metal or Slipknot or Corey, so insensitive as well and seems completely un-interested, and non-caring..terrible interview.
I think its good that he doesnt know nothing about metal or slipknot. It gives a different point of view to people who is not a fan of the band. The public who watch Larry King is "square" people, not Slipknot fans.
Josh Huard Larry King actually is very well informed and does a lot of research on all of his guests. You just have to remember that the majority of his demographic is over 50.
Great interview man, i think Larry king did a great job and Taylor is always a great speaker no matter what situation. Direct questions, straight faced honest interview, Larry saying "you're an interesting guy Corey" shows even if he didnt dig the tunes he still respected the guy enough to ask him honestly about the things he may not understand being from a completely different generation. cool :)
"Is heavy metal music"? are u kidding me? Why the fuck would you have a heavy metal frontman on your show if you're going to be that disrespectful? Jesus christ
Actually, he's not being disrespectful. Listen to the question. He wants someone from the heavy metal world answer that to people who maybe never listened to metal. Larry King demographic is what it is, so that question, so straight to the point is a good way to get an explanation for someone who never listened metal from someone who makes and lives it.
@Coreytaylorrock2 Corey, I’m doing great ‘bro. Living in the East Village (NYC), grinding and listening to Slipknot on the daily! (always). We 💯 got your back man… and 💯 WE are equally as privileged to have been given the gift of experiencing your authenticity and genuine self-expression over the years. To say that we have all deeply benefited from your generosity and courage is a colossal understatement 🔥
Am I the only person who thinks that this is actually a really good interview. Larry asks Corey all of these open ended questions and just lets Corey have the time to give full answers. I don't think he is trying to be disrespectful at all, and I cant see him at any point trying to push his opinion on things.
My man, dude talks so educated and so profound. Definitely kills the stereotypes given to heavy metal bands.
adrenaline112 yep he's pretty well spoken
Its because us metalheads are more intelligent than people think.
David Fye II how funny you throw yourself in there
adrenaline112 I didn’t know there were such stereotypes
Florian Kirchner mostly get the labels bc of drugs and partying and so majority of people look at us like trash when we more nerdy and tech and more down to earth so other humans initially strike assumptions and/or labels bc of clothing, rowdiness, and jealousy towards our type of differences and lack of small talk ... 😝🤓🤩
I love how Larry gets more and more comfortable as the interview goes on, and realizes how well spoken Corey is.
"I love cooking"

I push my fingers into my pies
hahaha this comment deserves more likes

I just sang that in my head and now I look like an idol laughing at nothing lol

I've met Corey 3 times...on one occasion actually hung out with him before a show...he is EXACTLY the person you see in this interview. He's down to earth with no ego and truly appreciates his fans
That's cool to hear. You really get the sense that this interview gave a solid and insightful picture of the dude but it's nice to have it confirmed 👍
thats good 2 hear
Corey Taylor: "I come up with the conce-
Larry King: Put it on
HAHAHAHAH
Larry: "Yeahhh do a lil dance."
Corey's comparison of free jazz and Sonny Rollins against metal and other genres goes to show how much this guy actually understands about music!
That awkvard moment when Larry King is scarier than Corey's mask.
omg lol
None of his masks are scary paleeeze
Marcus Magnusson ikr.
Dont ruin the likes number i almost fell for it
🔥🔥
I would definitely watch a cooking show with Corey Taylor.
Lmao
righteous
at first I thought he said "I love cocaine."
"So, next, we're gonna take these fucking carrots and dice the shit out of 'em. Those will be an awesome motherfucking topping to your cobb salad."
RushFanatic87 Ha ! Funny.
when he laughs with the mask on....that scared the total shit out of me
Reminded me of Shao Kahn from MK2.
:O
Chris Hayes thats funny
Aww that's cute 😆
Is it just me or does Larry King cut off Corey Taylor during most of the interview?
Bruno Silva it really got on my nerves, but Corey handled it very well, as if nothing. Respect.
Bruno Silva corey kinda treated it as if he was talking to his great grandfather, you can't really call him out on his shit just because he's so old aha
+Bruno Silva It is not just you. Larry did not show much interest in Cory or his story...too bad, he seems like he has some interesting perspectives.
+Bruno Silva In television, the anchor has a limited time in which he has to cover all questions and topics. Larry does this in a really professional manner, and I think that Corey knows this as well. I also work at a local TV station as an editor and I know how important the air time within the program is.
Yeah what was the point interviewing Corey if he ain't gonna listen
looks like corey is at a job interview
exactly
That’s a really spot on!
It's a little deeper than that, but yeah
He’s probably trying not to freak out. A kid from Iowa on the Larry King show! Who would’ve ever thought?
Well it’s Larry King. He’s a legend in interviewing he was around for decades.
corey is so dang well spoken. I can listen to him speak all day
Same. Definitely same🤘💖
That is, if Larry would just let him speak
It’s very relaxing
"What scares you the most?"
"Sharks"
He was so quick to that answer.
Really makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Proudest accomplishment, "the fact that my kids are pretty good people"
All father's everywhere felt that man. This dude has awards, money, fame... But it all comes down to family. He's got his priorities right
Absolutely devastating that we lost Paul and now Joey. RIP to both legends. My heart goes out to the families and the members of slipknot 💔
yea get your pity likes and go away
Unfortunately You're right.
Larry King as well
Lol this more like an interrogation than an interview.
You know.... Or like a deposition
lol classic larry
I remember trying to explain Slipknot to my granddad once. It was about as uncomfortable and disjointed as this.
To his absolute credit, Taylor figured out how it was going to go early and dealt with it with more humility and patience than he probably should have. Fuck, imagine if it was Clown in that seat.
lmfao, imagine if craig sat in that seat. "so craig, how about some questions." "......" "please?" "......." "cmon man." "......" -continues sitting there-
Steven Jacen that would make for a great interview
Clown is a nice and reasonable guy. If you aren't rude or ignorant to him you're fine.
lmfao. i'd actually love to see another interview with sid, the one on inside the nine was cool. i also like the interviews jim roots had.
There was nothing uncomfortable about the interview.
I love how Corey adapts to LK's mode of questioning. There are some points where LK allows Corey to really expand on an answer, but there are times when LK is very paint by numbers and doesn't give Corey mich of a chance to fully answer but Corey goes with it accordingly.
Larry seems really uninterested and he clearly hasn't done any research on Slipknot/Corey/Metal music before the interview..
He seems to be like that with everyone
He just lets the guest speak and never interrupts him...That's why so good at it...
Obviously hes done reseach and whatnot but there will be people watching the show thhat wont know who slipknot are so its his job to get everything across as clear as possible, do you not know how an interview works?
Actually that is a part of his work. He does this for the audience, not for himself. However he is probably doing this work because he wants to.
Yep
I've never heard anyone say anything bad about Corey when meeting or dealing with him. Just a genuinely nice person.
Everything about Larry in this just says I'm clocking in reading the questions off the piece of paper and clocking out.
Thought the same thing. He doesn't know who Corey Taylor is and doesn't really care.
My thought too. He cuts him off constantly almost like, "Yeah I don't care lets keep this moving. I wanna get home so I can catch Murder She Wrote."
@djoverkin The more that I have watched this show, I would have to agree with that.
Interviews like this just make me love him even more. He seems so down-to-Earth, thoughtful, intelligent, well spoken, etc. He'd be a blast to hang out with.
21:32
"You're an interesting guy, Corey."
"I do okay."
Loved that little exchange ^_^
man no wonder Corey hurt his neck, must have gotten whiplash from the way Larry was asking questions
13:13 that's an evil laugh, he could be an awesome voice actor too.
***** His laugh is the most evil I've ever heard!!
***** totally agree, he could do so many roles, his voice is extraordinary.
+Toornap Tarraa He is now he featured in Doctor Who
+Toornap Tarraa - Gonna guess he's a smoker. Def a cool voice.
+Toornap Tarraa His best evil laughs are the ones on stage though :)
Don't feel that Larry king paid enough respect to Paul's memory, very quickly and harshly brushed the subject. Felt the same way.
I agree but that's kind of the style Larry King uses in his interview. He keeps the questions coming.
He didn't want to force Corey into an emotional state.
Frank Drebin Understandable
Talking about Paul's passing at all is ALWAYS very hard for Corey to do. Even now, almost 11 years later.
Larry King: your mask is considerably scary
Corey: *Laughs in sith*
Larry King...of interruptions. Damn it bugs me
I will point the same thing!! it's so annoying
Yes! I thought the same thing! He'll ask one question, allow Corey to put 1 sentence in then BAM! A question that's on a completely different topic.
and He asks like three times if corey uses mask at stone sour xd and I consider so disrespectufl when he said: "do you consider heavy metal is music?"...
Most big shot radio/TV hosts do it. It drives me fucking nuts as well. I agree with you.
If you ask your guest a question, allow your guest to answer that question. It's common courtesy.
+sydIRISH I was waiting for clown to whack Larry with a bat haha
Might be years late to this but been a fan since 99.. Corey's a Champ.. Such a great guy and a hell of a front man.. Thanks for the coverage Larry!!
What an awesome interview. Corey is so intelligent and can answer questions so well. Love that Stone Sour are bringing out an album of covers next year. I've wanted them to do that for ages. Corey does great covers.
I concurr ... but wtf about Larry King?

Stone Sour is nothing you just said. We’re you not listening to Corey?
Corey is a real good persons and a real rock n roll metal singer, The best i think in at this time and in this era!
CH4RLIEonUtube completely agree, one of the greats of this generation, great range. it's amazing he's went this long n not blew out his voice
Yup
CH4RLIEonUtube nine inch nails is his idols
CH4RLIEonUtube chill
I agree he brings respect to metal
King: "Does the whole band wear different masks?"
Corey: "Yeah..they.."
King: "Put it on."
Me: "You demanding son of a bitch...."
Larry came from a generation where men could talk frankly with each other
Feels like I'm watching Corey Taylor's CIA interview
He phrases his question in a way that his mostly older audience, that doesn't know much about metal can relate to and understand more clearly.
Not due to a lack of preparation.
Larry should be a better role model about how to communicate better... people watch him and turn into robots because thats how you will be accepted and famous... set an better example especially about respecting your communication partner, maybe?

is kiss heavy metal? sounds like everybodies dad
What about U2? Are they heavy metal?

dude dude not mine Lol he loved Kiss and also Slipknot
R.I.P. Paul Gray
(1972-2010)
Larry sounds like someones grandad.."So you children play that loud guitar music?" 😂😂😂😂
I suspect Larry couldn't give less of a shit about who this guy is.
Maybe at the beginning, but as the interview goes on, I think Larry becomes more and more eager to know more about Corey. At 21:31 when Larry says "You're an interesting guy Corey", he sounds very sincere.
I caught that as well.....it seemed genuine to me...
Hangfire lol Right! And he doesn't give a flying fuck about Stone Sour and Slipknot either!
good cause who gives a fuck about larry king? id never watch his old wrinkled ass if corey wasnt on
I had the same feel
seeing corey explain what metal is, is basically the same as teaching a grandparent how to use a computer. impossible
Never heard Corey's interviews before, but he seems a hell of a great guy.
He is
I just found out about Larry dying, just had to come back to my favourite interview he’s done, they’re both legends!
that was an awesome video. it's kind of amazing to see two very different men realize they're not so different as they appear.
Corey Taylor is such a nice guy and humble. I always respected him as a musician and as a person .
Question after question after question, straight to the point and as many answers as you can fit. The best way to make an interview!
the guys a woefull interviewer.
its like a job interview
really dry really bad.
larry king, can read questions off a sheet like a robot

I see were you're coming from. I just like that he is trying to get the most out of this interesting musician. He knows the fans of Corey want to know as much as they can.
he's like a newsreader.I don't know much about interviewing but this is like novice stuff.I honestly think I could do a better job than larry king.
Again, I see were you're coming from :)
ok,I appreciate your comments
Asking the question ‘Is Heavy Metal even music?’ to the vocalist with the second widest vocal range in popular music is kind of ridiculous.

Damn right he is.
Good interview. I don't mind that Larry interrupts because he gets more out of Corey, instead of him going on about something on one question. Quick and to the point.
Rip to the legends larry and paul. Now larry can interview paul.
And now Joey
People need to stop disrespecting Larry. He's straight to the point on each question, okay he could of been more sympathetic about Corey's band mate, but Corey is clearly happy with how the interview went. He answered all the questions happily and well, I'm sure if anything pissed him off it would show. Chill guys
Exactly!
I thought it was an awesome interview....
Larry is a great interviewer! Seems extremely interested in what Corey has to say. Corey seems comfortable with the interview. Great video!
He's fucking hot.
hahahaha awwww
Ross Gordon Lol, who wouldn't
I'm straight, but it still doesn't work. he's still fucking irresistible. too fucking hot! it should be Illegal. hahaha
Had me at "free jazz." Really enjoyed listening to this interview, what a great artist. Very cool to hear his perspective on music.
Larry king was asking questions before the first one was done like "can we get this over with"
i'd love to see a Maynard James Keenan interview
If Maynard got pissed off by Larry, he'd keep going with the interview, but he'd fuck with him for sure
joe rogan experience has a long 2 hr interview
Tony Hernandez
From what I remember of that, it was a good back and forth, Joe either knew Maynard well enough, or at least did his homework. Larry King sounds like he just reads off cue cards and doesn't really give a fuck about his guests. Which is something that would probably piss off Maynard.
Joe is an actual fan and shares hobbies with Maynard. Plus he's enthusiastic and genuinely interested.
pauljh74 definitely. He ain't got time for that BS.
I seriously thought he said I love cocaine but it was cooking...:/
Thought I was the only one who heard that 😂😂
stratastrophic guitar lol
Im in love with the coco XD
李正約 me 2! ;)
+PowerVoltaire same i had to watch it 10 times to find out
Larry king was a good interviewer and had such great questions the majority of the time. I just wish he would have slowed down to actually let the person fully answer all the good questions he had.
I understand he was on a network so he had a time crunch. But man if Larry king was still here today and was able to run a podcast type interview where he could take his time communicating with his guests, that would have been amazing!
Corey Taylor so much respect, Slipknot is a legend now.
Seriously the most honest interview that i ever seen.
Corey does us fans and metal and himself and the whole scene in general a lot of credit, come over as a very intelligent guy..
ill be seeing them live next tuesday here in manchester, and i cannot wait...
I never would've thought I'd see Larry King interview Corey Taylor. This is gold.
Hah. Both Sinatra and Slipknot make some of my favorite music to listen to of all time.
Sith'ari666 this i agree with
Sith'ari666 Not a fan of Sinatra, however I am very into the greats like Vivaldi and Mozart due to my musical influence, I've played music in orchestras and symphonies all my life. I do get down to some thrash hahahah, I like just about every genre of metal and rock but I love classical and country.
Bomb.Throwing.Mayhem wow... Slipknot and Sinatra, an unlikely combo.
Mikey F'n-A my condolences
Never realized how much I liked Larry King
He had such a genuine "no BS" style while still being so relaxed and conversational.
Feels like one of those guys with no enemies.
Like it or not he was the greatest interviewer of all times. Rest in peace Larry.
Great interview Larry King. Love Stone Sour and Slip Knot
Jesus Larry just shoots and shoots questions, let the man think for a second XD
Larry does it to everyone
Time to think about a question gives the interviewed time to evade a question.
What a great interview hope this gets rid of a lot of misconceptions about the band and rock music in general.
Love the new album Nomadic rocks.
27:11 At first I thought he said "I love cocaine". And it really didn´t make sense when he already said that he didn´t do drugs anymore xD
i have to say I've never listened to metal or rock in the past, usually dance/house but when i listened to slipknot it was like a breath of fresh air .... i listen to one of there songs and i feel free to be myself. Since then I've given up drugs and kept it straight all thanks to this band
Absolute genius!!! Corey is no doubt one of the best vocalists and musical artists of all time.
Larry deserves more praise here. What a great interview. I think Larry gave many artists a platform to talk seriously but dude definitely asked emotional thought provoking questions
hearing black metal mentioned on Larry King is kind of funny
You obviously don't understand the point of an interview
an interview is not supposed to be taken by a fanboy, Larry does the best kind of interviews
Josh Huard Larry King actually is very well informed and does a lot of research on all of his guests. You just have to remember that the majority of his demographic is over 50.
Yeah, the point of an interview is to ask really obvious questions to someone you haven't bothered to find anything out about before interview
Great interview man, i think Larry king did a great job and Taylor is always a great speaker no matter what situation. Direct questions, straight faced honest interview, Larry saying "you're an interesting guy Corey" shows even if he didnt dig the tunes he still respected the guy enough to ask him honestly about the things he may not understand being from a completely different generation. cool :)
6:23 I don't think Larry ever watched Supernatural.
Reference to dean humming Metallica on the plane? :P
Nick Baars Yes!
Corey Taylor seems to be a pretty great guy.
"Is heavy metal music"? are u kidding me? Why the fuck would you have a heavy metal frontman on your show if you're going to be that disrespectful? Jesus christ
well said
Actually, he's not being disrespectful. Listen to the question. He wants someone from the heavy metal world answer that to people who maybe never listened to metal. Larry King demographic is what it is, so that question, so straight to the point is a good way to get an explanation for someone who never listened metal from someone who makes and lives it.
Do you know how hard someone had to push to get him in front of Larry King. Get real here
F’ing love Corey. He’s so well spoken it has me laughing out loud in this one. Probably b/c it’s a super mainstream interview
@Coreytaylorrock2 Corey,
I’m doing great ‘bro.
The man is such an amazing vocalist.
Am I the only person who notices how inteligentlly Larry cuts people off? :D
Intelligently?
yeah w/e
Mike Minkov thats what makes him a great interviewer. jeremy paxman is exactly the same.
ya too often
Am I the only person who thinks that this is actually a really good interview. Larry asks Corey all of these open ended questions and just lets Corey have the time to give full answers. I don't think he is trying to be disrespectful at all, and I cant see him at any point trying to push his opinion on things.
this was one of the best interviews or Corey Taylor... totally different then most interviews.. and Larry King.. well hes being himself
David Eastwell no way man, ido too! Corey answers everything he asks. Larry would be cool to drink beer with too!
I doubt you'll ever see this Larry and I think I'm kinda late but I'm subscribed and supporting your channel because of this interview
Corey is such a class act. He brings a lot of respectability to his band as well as the metal genre.
Good to see he's got his neck under control a bit more these days
The fact that Larry King had to ask whether the members wear different masks.
6:20 I regularly hum Vermillion to myself on my way to and from the coffee shop/work. Sometimes I whistle it, too.
He's so even keel now. Iowa Corey would have walked out on this interrogation by now haha
Or scream at him
You mean insanely drunk Corey? He comes across as a completely different person now that he is sober.
Everybody is saying how rude he was in this when in reality this is the kindest I've EVER seen Larry.
Corey is so precious I love him so much
Damn me too. Want him so bad, seriously.
Nice reference Corey with the different types of jazz and Ornette!! Great interview!
