"Do you think you're misunderstood?"
"No, I think I'm understood differently by everyone."
Jesus Christ! That is a perfect explanation of the human condition.
Ironically, Jesus was misunderstood too.
Ironically, Jesus still is.
It is perfect. Love MM.
Squeet what does Jesus have to do with anything? Repent of your sins and using His name incorrectly, instead of using His name in vain - Call upon His name for salvation.

so true
In a documentary, interviewed Marilyn Manson and asked, “What if the kids at Columbine were here today, what would you say to them?” Marilyn Manson replied, “I wouldn't say anything. I'd listen to them, which nobody else did.” This thought-provoking quote really puts a different perspective on life.
I'd ask them why they were so weak.

Manson's gaydar off the scale with Larry
Larry King: Do you like turning people off?
Manson: You mean like a light?
He’s not even a dad, and he’s making dad jokes.
My dad wasn't into Marilyn Manson music, but he liked him in his interviews and let me listened to it as a teenager. Music doesn't make you kill people, and those guys helped a lot more kids than they can imagine
Very true.

That’s just Larry King’s interviewing style, he’s always been that way
I hate it when ppl write in all caps
Larry King has a habit of doing that, a good habit though, because he did his live show for so long and he knew he had to make up for time. He can't let people ramble. At least he asks related questions instead of something entirely different to swerve the conversation.

Same here! He was smart in terms of career choice bc kids-teens are going to follow the embodiment of what their parents, guardians loath, sadly and especially if you have "truly wicked" moms and dads that use you, abuse you, neglect you, are druggies & heavy boozers themselves. You know. He actually had a good life was smart enough to create a persona and music that would sell to millions of pissed off young males and their latch-on pretend girlfriends. But he toned down a lot and realised, whoa.....Im not a monster or THE anti-Christ. When an interviewer asked if he ever found Jesus, MM & his quick wit, said, "I didn't know He was missing." He came out when I was 17, but I liked music, not "noise." I had a very very old soul. But I knew he was an "Act" like anyone in the biz. Like the woman who has played "Vampira" for 30 years! She's pretty, but it takes the whole makeup, wig, and costuming for her "Act" to come alive & entertain. I'd be starstruck w anybody. That is their careers and I respect that.

His dry sense of humor is so lost on Larry! He’s a genius ✨
Nobody’s talking about how he interviewed himself before he was famous I find that hilarious and kind of believing in yourself to the truest form lol
Back when he was a journalist, he wrote, under his name Brian Warner, about a band called Marilyn Manson, which he didn't even have any songs written at the time. He even hand drew fliers and posted them around town (fort. lauderdale, FL).
I was thinking the exact same thing. He is a comedic genius musician

@@brittanyflowerday He's DEFINETLEY becoming more likable and humble the older he gets. I REALLY beleive that, "High End of Low" album in 2009 changed him as a human being. He became more humble and sympathetic
It’s absolutely crazy the first time I saw him in a proper interview and how articulate, smart and intuitive he truly is. Never judge a book by its cover is so true.
Larry King: "Ok, we have some social media questions."
Marilyn Manson: "Mmmmmnn....."
That's so sad about him and his mother. How brave and sincere of him to say something so raw and personal on a national show. I think he's likely a good friend and a good person. I've been a fan since the mid 90's, seen performances but have yet to meet him. Even if it's years and years from now, after he retires I still want to meet and maybe get to know him. I've always felt a fairly deep connection with him.
HateHater I love his music but good friend? Ask the spooky kids
I can barely talk about my mother. Sometimes I want talk about it, but... He's courageous or he's trying to deal with it.
HateHater...I agree and a lot of us feel that connection you mentioned. I've heard he's really nice to his fans when they meet him.
..u should see his big moment on headbanger's ball..it was awful he could barely sit up and it was embarrassing...the rest of the band was barley functional.. horrible
HateHater I’ve always found him to be honest, articulate and emotionally available in his interviews. Takes a lot of courage to do that. Break down those walls and be able to bare your soul unrepentantly. You have to hand it to him, he’s not afraid to be himself. And that is something a lot of people have a hard time doing. He was also honest about not grieving for strangers like he would people he loves. That’s incredibly introspective and unabashedly HONEST. That’s something we all think and experience but no celebrity has the balls to say it in a nationally broadcasted interview. Except Marilyn. He’s very impressive.
Full interviews are a million times better! 👍

I teared up when he talked about his mom💔
Me too. I wasn't expecting such a candid and personal answer. Marilyn/Brian wasn't holding anything back here. I wanted to give him a big hug at that point.
Great interview. Larry king is always respectful towards anyone. The reason he's "cutting him off" is because he has to keep the interview moving to cut it off at a certain time.
Your right Larry is working he is just as much of an entertainer as Manson is. He has to keep the interview moving as well as touch on as much subject matter as he thinks the viewer would find interesting so people will stay to watch the entire show it is entertainment after all.
''She wasn't a villain'' This guy... he deflects like no one else. Too many years of answering stuff like ''but why do you worship the devil? don't you like jesus?''

Peter khot I don’t think your right there, but it’s your opinion
WOKEN MATT HARDY Satanism and devil worship are two different things. There is a form of Satanism that is really just a variant of atheism, and I think Marilyn Manson was a part of that at some point, although now I am not sure. Manson has never drawn pentagrams in his basement, sacrificed his cat to the dark lord, etc (as far as I know).
It was not easy being a fan of his during the 90s or now. His work and art are priceless to so many.

@@austinklein1172 Yes. Marion Morrisson, or something like that. But, Marion, yes.
he brings up the name Charles manson. it's obvious he was 1 of those kids that got alot of motivation from Charles manson like he looked up to him. This guy's childhood is very dark and typical I can tell. He was 1 of those kids that got picked on a lot and nobody really liked in school. I can completely understand why he says he's responsible for school shootings it's because those kids that do that are a mirror image of himself. Those school shooters look at Marilyn manson as someone they can relate too. This is very sad and depressing. All I can is be careful who your kids are looking up too be careful what your kid is doing period! Always make sure you know what your kid is listening watching etc... because all it takes is 1 dark path in the wrong direction and your kid is brainwashed and influenced as you saw with this guy. If your child isn't looking up to you than you are failing as a parent
I wish I was intelligent like Manson. I mean he knows how to talk it's amazing how he articulates what he has to say

"A man who needs no introduction."
Proceeds to introduce Marilyn Manson.
Such a f’kn shame what’s happening to this man (Manson) currently. He’s a brilliant man, a genius artist, and from most accounts, a nice person. But then you have people who feel like they didn’t get what they wanted from him, or regret being with him for one reason or another, and they decided to smear him and make his life more miserable than it already (maybe) was. I really hope he gets cleared and does one of the greatest comebacks in history.

Blaming him for that tragedy is like blaming my frosted flakes at breakfast for my diabetes.
Frank Stoeffler Not true. Manson had absolute nothing to do with columbine but the Frosted Flakes contributed to your diabetes a little but. But people are dumb and they like to blame people that act different than them.

Do you mean it was the listeners decision to listen to marylin and start shooting up a school in the same way you make a decision to eat Frosted Flakes. You made the decision just like the school shooters but the product and music isn’t to blame for the after effects, you/ the consumer is.??? Is that what you mean? Sorry for my bad English

Corey Shelp he is too ahead of our time but perfect for showing us what is wrong with the world currently. Dealing with religion and how it actually separate us.
He’s a influencer for goths. Just like all the greatest “goth” influencers and artists would never have called themselves goth nor would most people consider them goth. But they created a movement.

I seldom have the patience these days to watch half-hour interviews...but this held my gnat-like attention span. He's a breath of fresh air in a stagnant pop culture pool - certainly original, unconventional and creative.
He’s spot on with his analysis of the world today. We live in a disposable culture; consuming, consuming, consuming. Then disposed of, giving nothing back. Our technology has replaced our humanity.
