    I just started growing marshmallow last year...so excited! I only picked leaves and flowers though...didn't want to dig the root up yet..want to plant more now, but closer to the house.

    I thank you for this information. For quite some time I have the marshmallow root in the cupboard. Forgetting what it was for, being busy and not making a decoction or hot tea, it has stayed in the cupboard. Now that I know it can be prepared simply by adding warm water and sitting in the teapot until I want to drink it for what I call my dry throat I will finally use it 😊

    Hello Dr, Can you tell me please what temperature the mucopolysaccharides are destroyed by heat? Would dehydration of under 140 degrees destroy them? Since they exist within a cactus plant they must be able o handle over 120 degrees. Thanks

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 8 месяцев назад

      Yes that is a very good question I'm wondering also at about what temperature heat becomes damaging to those polysaccharides because I don't know if I would really want to just drink a lukewarm drink ?

    Is the marshmallow root powder as effective as using the dried root? Would you prepare it the same way?

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 8 месяцев назад

      Well pretty much the same thing . Except the route you would have to grind up until a powder yourself .
      Can you please tell me if you've tried this product yet and if so can you tell us what benefits you have noticed .

    • @gardensofthegods
      @gardensofthegods 8 месяцев назад

      I also heard it's supposed to be good for the skin and rejuvenating for it so I'm wondering if you tried putting it on your face and if so please tell us if you have noticed any difference ?

      Hi there! We unfortunately can't give out dosage advice due to government regulations. I would suggest finding a qualified herbalist or naturopath who can give you dosage information based on your specific health needs! I hope that helps :) - Gracie

    I love these videos! Thank you! Can you make the tea from fresh marshmallow leaves, or do you need to dry them first? How about in a smoothie - I assumed fresh would be okay, but just checking, thanks! My plants are just starting to bloom and it's so pretty :)

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  5 лет назад +2

      It's possible you could use fresh leaves, but dried leaves are good for extraction in hot water. Maybe trial and error and report back to us!

      Sorry to hear you had some trouble with the sound Grant! We found we were able to get the volume up quite a bit between the in-video volume control and our computer/device's master volume, but you can also access closed captions by clicking the gear icon (settings) in the bottom right corner of the video player. Hope this helps!

    Thank you for marshmallow brewing instructions. I had been simmering the dry root. Going to grind the root finer and try this again. Do you recomend using the leaf and root together?

    • @mountainroseherbs
      @mountainroseherbs  5 лет назад +2

      Hi Lisa, since different parts of the marshmallow plant have different nutrient proportions, using a combination of the leaf and root will give you the most well-rounded sampling of the plant's properties. Hope this helps!
