    Be careful dim can cause hair loss in some women also it's important to work on endocrine Disruptors via your cookware, soap, body washes, dish soap, laundry soap, plastics, hair products, scented anything etc. Also you need to regulate your blood sugar levels as insulin resistance and insulin as been shown to cause hormonal issues and may be linked to the growth of fibroids. And making sure you get enough fiber. You can get idoine from kelp, bladderwack,Irish moss etc, also wild yam, passionflower, thyme helps with progesterone plus others and glutathione for liver, high sources of this is black Spanish radish which many ppl don't use or know about and rooibos tea.

      Great information. I have heard of black radish and will look into it more. I am also trying to heal my body and lose weight. Any time I go on a calorie deficit diet, I lose some weight but then my body adapts to the lower calories. Can estrogen dominance have an effect with metabolic adaptation because of raising your cortisol by inducing your body to go into starvation mode?

    I've had 2 surgerys and years of pain from my endo and cysts. I know I'm certainly not alone on that one.but recently I have been going to a natropathic doctor who is having me take some of the supplements you mentioned. So thankful for this information. Makes me upset that many doctors do not talk about this. None of my previous doctors ever did a hormone panel and just told me to take birth control pills, which my body never tolerated. Thankful for this new journey in healing my body. Thank you ❤

I have menopausal symptoms but the doctors I met did not recommend any hormone testing because they don’t know what to do with it or have no training in this area. They would rather check the routine boxes and continue with the old testing your lipids, metabolic and stool. They would not dig deep into these issues.

    Thanks for the vid! Yup, sylimarin can work wonders with the liver, but it's taking it on regular basis (it's been a traditional cure for liver probs since ages in my country). It's funny indeed when people mention alcohol in terms of liver but don't realise the excess glucose consumption and fructose that only liver can process. Iodine, I wouldn't risk taking it without consulting the endocrinologist, having estrogen messed up is already a prob for the thyroid. Fiber sadly is not for everybody either, lots of the patients have intestine problems, including SIBO. Tricky thing, cause it's all interconnected and really hard to find a spot in which one can start braking the viscous circle. Interested What is your point of view in regards of seed cycling?

      I see the piece about veggies, I cook mine well. That works for me :) I always warm my salad in a hot pan, and use olive oil, it really helps me to get the greens in, without all the gas. In ayurvedic medicine my constitution is high vata, which means calming foods, that are sweet, like white rice, oats and any comfort food. That does not mean pizza and burgers, but in natural foods. Think stews and caseroles. Warm, sweet veg and meats. Smaller meals is also better. Me and my boyfriend are so different in this. He eats large meals, and is more pitta dominant.

      Because you are a nutritionist there would likely be many methods you could not use, but which a physician could use. However, to learn more about the assorted methods of functional medicine you could read the several books written by Dr. Mark Hyman who styles his approach "functional medicine." From the subset of his books I've read I know he incorporates many recommendations of better nutrition.

      I am definetely not able to take any fiber supplements as I am intolerant to many of them. Gas, bloating, stomach pain, constipation. What I can have is some chia seeed, cooked veggies, and just healthy foods. I am very careful with fiber supplements. I also want to add that I have lactose intolerance. I am also very careful with herbs, especially herbs that can lower blood pressure, or are diuretic. Yesterday I had hibiscus tea, I did not know it could lower blood pressure, and today I am certainly feeling it. So replacing with electrolyte drink and eating white bread and chocolates to get blood pressure and blood sugars up. Somehow my blood sugars also drop when my blood pressure drops 😂 I need to give that tea to somebody who has a different constitution. I just have a very delicate system..

I believe it works through a different mechanism & will support healthy progesterone levels to counteract the estrogen at the right times. Perhaps you or someone else who knows more about its mechanism of action & can explain it better?
    Anyway It takes 2-3 months of taking every day before you really see the difference, but for me it was life changing! Patience & consistency are key here
    Hope this may help someone out there ❤️

    No wonder I have estrogen dominance because of hypothroidism. That explains why I had uterine & breast Cancer. When I had radio active iodine done to my thyroid. I wish I would of gotten to sue the endrocrinolgist that did the radio active iodine to my thyroid. Because he didn't tell me the whole truth about the radio active iodine. He told me I wouldn't become hypothyroid with the dose he gave me. I was duped by him lying. Now because of that I have suffered from unwanted fat & excess estrogen I don't need in my body. I have to take thyroid medication for the rest of my life. Because I no longer have thyroid hormone that produces enough thyroid hormone. That endocrinolgist screwed my body up permanently. I will never go to another one again now because of him I wound up with Cancer.

    Hi Dr. Taz,
    Is there something about lactose free milk that makes it a bit more tolerable for someone who's estrogen sensitive?
    I seem to handle it better. If I drink upto two or more cups of tea with regular milk my body starts with the estrogen dominant symptoms. The migraine aura is horrible and my abdomen feels like I'm about to get my period. This hasn't happened with lactose free milk. I feel like it is a safer option for when I crave milk, but I don't think consuming milk on a daily basis is a good idea.

    • @Potnia33
      @Potnia33 Год назад +2

      Milk should be avoided altogether. Whether someone is lactose intolerant or not, milk itself raises estrogen levels as the cows produce estrogen-rich breast milk for baby calves. Grass-fed is a little better but can still raise estrogen.
