I went on another solo trip!
This time, it was at the end of October 2023, and it was somewhere cold... Norway!
The only Nordic country which was missing from my list.
Find out where to sleep in Oslo and how to get from Gardermoen Airport to the city centre with public transport.
In the next videos we'll be visiting Fram museum, the Opera and Munch museum...
And then I flew to Bergen, too.
I hope you enjoy watching this solo woman trip to Norway.

Another wonderful, very informative video. Norway is another country that I would dearly love to visit. My dream holiday would be to take a camper van from here to Copenhagen, cross to Sweden via the Oresund Bridge, then into Norway and finally by ferry to Iceland. But spending time in each country as I go. But my age and health problems mean that it will probably remain just a dream. But watching your videos is a great substitute for actually visiting all these places, so thank you for those.

Thanks very much for what you wrote, I’m glad you find my videos good enough to be a substitute for actual travel. I had never heard about Oresund bridge before, only about the one which connects Copenhagen to Sweden! Thanks! 😃

      That is the Oresund Bridge.

Bergen and the south west coast have worst weather in whole Norway with a lot of rain. I can recommend visiting the northern part of Norway if you go back 😊

Thanks a lot for the heads up!!! I would definitely love to go back and see Tromsø (and hopefully, for the first time in my life, the Northern lights ✨🥹).

@@camyinwonderworld I can recommend Alta that is around 20 min further north-east from Tromsø (with plane) where it is bigger chance of seeing northern lights since there is dryer climate. The season for northern lights start from September when it's dark enough.
Also can recommend July for warm weather and warm summer nights with midnight sun 🙂

That sounds fabulous, thank you so much! I’ll come back here to read your tip when it’s going to be time to go back to Norway! I’ve always been in Scandinavian countries during autumn/winter so I haven’t had a chance to experience the midnight sun yet! 😍

Very nice video! Did you get a chance to see the Fjords? Definitely on my bucket list. :)

Thanks very much for watching and for your comment 😄 I did see the Fjords actually! I went on a cruise when in Bergen, it was cold and windy, but extremely beautiful. I filmed a video about it, it’ll come out in a few weeks 🤗

Ahhh, I'm glad you got to film it! :) Yeah, I can imagine it being damn cold right now but still worth the experience and the fresh air. ;)@@camyinwonderworld

This was quite different from your other vlogs. It reminded me of the famous quote from Robert Louis Stevenson " it is better to travel hopefully than to arrive". This is NOT a criticism in any way, just that we didn't see much of Oslo but a lot of getting there!! 🤣 I also agree - flying in small planes makes me feel very uncomfortable/claustrophobic.
High point for me?? Smoked salmon and scambled eggs, and your casual remark "I was knackered" 🤣 🤣 🤣.
Do you have any Scottish genes?? 🤣 Looking forward to Oslo - thexubtold story. 😁

Thanks very much for watching and for the sub! 🤗 Yes I’m really glad I picked that hotel, it was a bit pricier than what I’d usually go for, but worth the money, being Norway (…and the city centre)!

Are the shops/museums closed on Sunday?

      @camyinwonderworld  6 месяцев назад

Thanks very much! 🤗 Museums are open on Sundays, but I remember finding it hard to find a place for dinner as many restaurants were closed or closed early… I think shops were open, but probably also closed earlier than usual…
