Thanks for this. I’ve been looking for a way to mount my swivomatic toms on my DW double tom stand. It’s a shame Rogers doesn’t offer a 3/8 hex phenolic ball that we could just swap out.

Since I made this video, Rogers has introduced the new RDH7439-DBL - Ultra-Matic double tom mount with 7/8 inch tube. I've considered getting one of those and could use it in one of my Tama tom/cymbal stands, which also accept a 7/8" down tube. But yes, it would be great if they simply offered a 3/8 inch hex L-rod ball. Gibraltar makes a hex L-rod ball, but I think it's slightly too large for the Rogers mounts.

If I end up getting the Powertone in champaign sparkle I plan on running a gilbralter clamp attached to the double tom holder and then a short cymbal arm attached to the clamp. I contacted Rogers and they said that should work for a smaller crash.

Cool--that new double tom mount looks solid! I'm looking forward to checking one out!
