The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. The 2019 championship was won by Hyundai with the Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC. Find out about the latest winners and champions at www.wrc.com Спорт
3:04 road becomes wider and faster, 4:50 fast long sweeping bends, 7:21 JUMP onto asphalt road and hairpin bend with many rally fans, 8:51 victory handshake and climbs onto the roof of the rally car.
The way he predicts the grip and puts the car exactly where he wants it is incredible. That wouldn't be possible without great work by the co-driver... and huge ballls, of course. Thanks a lot for posting this WRC, you made my day!
bro mine too.. unbelievable aggressiveness with the cleanest executions...I'm flabbergasted..
New to this sport. All I gotta say is these guys are like surgeons, no room for error.
I'd say surgeons have a bit more room for error than this top notch rally drivers
@@ttiization As long as they don't hit a tree head on or roll over they're fine. There's so much error in this they need a co-driver to even know where they're going.
@@Kalumbatsch I'm not talking about the risk of racing. But this guys race each other for many stages to decide the winner by seconds. That's the amout of error you can make
@@ttiization And how would you compare that to surgery?
@@Kalumbatsch I'm not the one trying to compare the drivers to surgeons, but I'd say you have a lot more room for error as a surgeon
Totally intense and hypnotising viewing! I can't begin to imagine how draining this is on the driver and co-pilot.
I can't even control my bike this precise :D
WRC pilots are really special people.
Once Michael Schumacher said : the Rally pilots are the better in the World !!!
I guess every rally driver with the first name Sebastien is incredibly successful
Maybe I should change my name to Sebastien 🤔
That's not true, look at Chardonnet
Prime ogier was incredible his car from his car control to commitment his at one with the polo great drive
I have no time to watch this, and cannot stop watching it. The sheer precision. Chapeau!
Non ho parole per dire quanto sono bravi, quanto si devono fidare l'uno dell'altro. Ma una cosa mi viene spontaneo pensare, bisogna essere coraggiosi e matti per andare così forte sulla terra. GRANDI
The perfect driver, smooth, precise, and fully committed. Id like to see a video of his footwork.
From 5:15 on, he is really punishing the car and pushing like hell. Mad respect for Ogier.
The direction change and grip of that VW is absolutely insane. It just points exactly where he needs it to point without a problem. Like it's running on rails.
fast and smooth
7:20 flatout on tarmac
thank you so much for uploading this. Really appreciate it! still my dream to see Ogier live in action one day. I drive the polo 6 GTI, think that's as close as i'll get XD
I like this camera angle when playing dirt rally. Making it looks slower 😂
Very technical stage, incredible!
Ogier.... Simply the best... Thanks for this video bro!
Ogier is very good, he won 6 cup, but Loeb is the best of all time!
Tubegamer id agree although Ogier has the capacity to overtake Loeb
this is spectacular stage and extra ordinary driver performance that i have ever seen
Ogier è il più forte pilota rally di tutti i tempi! 👍
I think I'm starting to get it, why is the pilot sitting higher than navigator - his balls lower the center of gravity symmetrical to the right half of the car
Gotta love those rallies down narrow hiking trails
Awesome road and great drive.
excellent driving!
Fantastic video
Super co working ! Très bonne lecture
amazing!
Amazing!
Wow. Ça, c'était intense!
Really great this onboard with Ogier, now to be perfect at least one more from SS9 or SS12 Santana da Serra
one of the most beautiful stages of the rally, 31.90 km of intense driving. Latvala,Hirvonen or Mikkelsen would be perfect.
precision work
Ziko j
AMAZING
Great driving
Man the location and the stage
Perfectly perfect.
Perfection!
brilliant driving
This man is driving like one possessed! :)
I bet we'll be seeing Ogier's name on top of the board for a long time!
this comment aged well
INCREDIBLE DRIVER...1000 POUNDS ''BALLS''
amazing
It feels exactly like dirt rally 2.0, just like the simulations
incredible
Gotta tell u , I loved it
That was freakin crazy
Nav notes on point
Great driver
Why Would someone dislike this?
i think thats prolly ogier's best run this year. god damn thats flawless. gd luck beatin him.lol
this videos looks higher quality than todays onboard videos
Damn! That man can drive!
NO MISTAKES!!!!
I think the peak moment: 7:26
Very good this driving, its not for who want's is for who knows. If you please upload a full onboard of stage santana da serra.
Jump start!
That's one mean looking stage.
I'm about to head to a crossroad and get demon sponsored ... This is what I should be doing. This is what I should have always been doing.. I love racing down the canyons adding the fire roads and trails would be such a beautifully dynamic experience
.. The only feeling that's real, a strange aggressive form of zen.. The only time my mind is clear...
95.8 km/h average speed
Thanks for the ride Sebastian that was fun.. certain parts of Portugal Look like Central Texas
I wonder if they drive faster when they really have to take a piss?
You know some wheelchair athletes used to break a toe before they competed. They couldn't feel it, but their body would still react and boost all their adrenaline and oxygen uptake. That was declared cheating, so the next best thing was to really really need to pee.
Like le boss
I'd be interested to know how stage times compare in these cars with the Group B beasts? I mean there must be some stages that are the run exactly the same as they were in the 80's? I can't see this being much slower?! Very impressive and such accurate lines!
These cars are actually faster than Group B cars, except in a straight line
@@fenwa592 This really doesn’t surprise me! I was lucky enough to see group B cars in their day, but not managed to see the modern equivalent yet.
@@esuohdica You saw them back in the day? Did you ever get to see the Group B cars in person?
@@fenwa592 yes mid 80’s I used to follow a few of the nearby stages on the Lombard RAC rally which was the UK round of the world championship. They were still running night stages back then and there is nothing like seeing these cars in a forest stage at night!! The T16 was my favourite back then! There is no doubt that these were dangerous cars due to the nature of how they were all basically prototypes. I remember Timo Salonen complaining at the end of one stage that he had 5 litres of fuel sloshing around INSIDE the car during the last stage!!
@@esuohdica You are very lucky that you got to witness that era. I was planning to go and watch the Wales round of the WRC until the corona virus situation happened. Hopefully I can go next year though.
wow
Such precision, like a robot designed to drive rally car
Speed meter plz
surprised not any flat tires.
ωραιος ξαπλαααα στο οριο συνεχεια
Звук мотора как на электротяге👍👍👍
Look a vidéo from the outside, how loud it is
What a stage!
Rally Portugal has the most technical and awesome stages in the Championship.
that's almost an average of 60mph (99 km/h)
what racing game is this? lol
All I want to do is come and read comments on WRC VIDEOS!!!!!
Ingrassia has a real french accent!
I see a peseant beaten with a whip before my inner eye when I think of the poor drive shaft.
this game really looks like dirt rally 2.0
I wish they had Portugal and Mexico in Dirt Rally 2.0
Literalmente uma fralde, ando mais com carro da firma nesse tipo de terreno trabalhando kkk
That's pretty stange, the engine sound. Not because of the turbine, but something is roaring at low rpm.
Gearbox whine
Imagine a portugues farmer overtaking them with his tractor.
Ах тряхнул стариной!!!
Harsh road
miss speed and gears
SAMIR YOUR BREAKING THE CAR!
Non foi sen tempo...
Max yawn 6 over crest into sleepy left 5 maybe, 150 nodding off right 2 into dopey right 3 and snoring left 3 and sound asleep end.
What a good cure for insomnia.
Is it just me or did Ogier jump the start?
Sidward nah he didn’t
Nazis:" we declaring war on france"
Frenchmen:
we frenchies are a different kind of people inside of a car. just better.
Especially if your name is Sébastien
@@neilbryson Alain Prost, Didier Auriol, Jean Alesi, Stéphane Peterhansel, Didier Pironi, Jean Ragnotti, Jean-louis Schlesser, Jean-pierre Jabouille, i can go like this for a while! F1 or Rally we are on the top. whatever the era. now we have Pierre Gasly in F1 and Ogier in Rally. little brake in F1 for few years but in early 2000's there was a lot of good drivers. 80's and 90's racing did create a big generation for 2000's kids. Hamilton is an 80's kid raised in the 90's to win in the 2000's. same for a lot of countries. the golden era was definitly 80's to early 2000's. this era created the most advanced drivers. since then, we are kinda stagning.
Toyota want to beat Hyundai' so they drive like crazy.
But already HYUNDAI selling car better than Toyota and Japan car in Europe
Easy stage
Not to easy if you the one who drive
very Bad road condition, that car can endure a lot of beating
it wasn't bad, but I guess I'd be faster ... ;-)
the first looser, there is no sebatian loeb, no mouton, no röhrl........vw sucks
