As Finn I would hope so too. Im otherwise very proud of Remedy, since they are pretty much our only triple A developer out there, but there is one thing Im very saddened about and why I personally wont be supporting the game just yet and that is ofc their decision not to release physical copy of any kind. I would have gladly paid full retail price for it, but now I just wait that they eventually will re-release the game as some kind of GOTY/Complete edition eventually (or even remastered version many years from now) and they would release it on disc then as well

Jezus, I've been throwing that quote at my buddy with which I played AW1 back then every chance I get (which isn't often). Along with stating that ''we're not out of te woods yet...'' since a lot of the more drawn out action/running scenes involve Alan going through the dark forest around the lake area.

Maybe. We kind of got that for The Evil Within 2, but happy endings in horror are few and far between.

its like a teenage cute song playing while there is a massacre. it can be funny, but in this case just dont fit. boring. dont see how is the two connected. but sure. something disturbing or noisy would be better.
Horror is such a natural transition for this series, I love it.
And digital only is such an unnatural transition.

If I remember correctly Sam Lake said that they won’t do a physical release because more people buy digital instead of physical and it would give them a couple of weeks for extra polishing

I loved AW1 and never thought we would get a sequel, but i always hoped we would. Then when it was announced, i had unrealistically high hopes. Then i played it... and it blew away my expectations. Well done Remedy!

Tengo muchas ganas de este Alan Wake 2, pero solo lo compraré en el caso de que salga en formato físico.
i don’t know if anyone has said this already but a couple of the clips have been altered from the Remedy channel version of the trailer.
at 1:04, saga is attacked by nightingale in the morgue instead of in the woods like the remedy version and at 1:12, saga shoots the ground instead of the cultist in the head. There is another clip that has been altered as well. at 1:24, Saga is seen in her mind place instead of shoving the flare down the cultist throat.
maybe it’s just for censorship? could be.
I prefer this version, something about this one just fits well in my head. The transition with the exploding mines was very cool in my opinion.
So glad I don't have work on Friday so I can play this game all night starting tomorrow! I am super excited!!

Most Remedy games tend to be like that. They're criminally underappreciated and have pretty much never released a flat out genuinely bad game. What i mean is one that was universally panned. They truly make games they're passionate about and sadly sell their souls to publishers to get funding since they lack the money to self fund. This time they sold their souls to Epic Games to get Alan Wake 2 funded

The only reason there is no physical copy is because they have to pay for manufacturing & publishing in addition to giving cuts to retailers anything else is an excuse.

Absolutely beautiful lighting effect thanks to the NVIDIA RTX's path tracing and ray reconstruction. This brings the real horror feelings into the game. I need to double my daily dose of antihypertensive drugs.
