And the driver did that without popping the parachute. Usually drivers will pull that chute to right the vehicle when it gets out of hand like this. Great save from what the video shows.
They went into a few flat spins, not a rollover or anything really bad, but I decided not to air some of the misfortunes that occur out there. I've got a few videos that the teams did not want posted worldwide. However, they wanted the footage privately to analyze the run, so that's really why I film, to share with the teams taking the risk.
Thank you John. Excellent videos. It is thrilling to see the cars full out, pedal to the metal, the beautiful sound of the engines roaring. And the chutes deploying. That is the way I would have videoed them.
But get the newest rule book and keep checking for changes. They DO NOT sorry to yell but tech does note budge it might have passed last year but the rule says this now. Some buddys and i have been planning a thunderbird supercoupe build and the tech is boggling. Best if luck on your build maybe we'll meet on the salt

Was it the tail that saved it?
@@fenderstratguy yup
That's what vertical stabilizers are for. ;)
The video content is great...some facts, figures, and posted speeds edited in would have made this a fantastic highlights video.
