    Why in RGB packed map roughness in is R instead of G? G have one bit better compression in DXT1/5, and roughness is more important

      I think it's because substance painter, for some unknown reason packs the roughness in the red channel and the metalness in the green channel. It always irks me to see the metalness in the green channel

    Trying to implement this method in my project. Damn it`s cool! Buggy as hell too ) Project crushing every time I change something in parameters.

    Wasn't the development on experimental layered materials canceled/stopped?

      Where did you see that? AFAIK it is still planned to be worked on, it's just been a really low priority.

    Is there any chance to get a closer look at the Dreadnought cloaking blueprint segment? :) I just love how the ships cloak in Dreadnought.

    His example looks like ten years ago, that is why Yager studio going worse and DeadIsland2 canceled.
