Eric you should try Singapore airlines business class vs scoot business class try to research first I might have wrong spelling also Singapore airlines very expensive so not forcing you
‘Plenty of food choices’ but rates it 8/10 for lack of food options. You didn’t mention you were sitting in an exit row on the Easyjet flight which is why the legroom was better than you expected. Lufthansa is a Full Service Airline so bags are included in the fare, she wasn’t doing it to be nice, she was doing it because it’s the airline’s policy
I really like budget airlines and it is a bit annoying when people complain about them. Underpaid staff, cramped and uncomfortable seats, paying to check in extra bags, etc are all types of ways to reduce prices. Ik it's not entirely ethical but at the end of the day you're most likely going to pick a cheap flight from a budget airline than an expensive one from a legacy airline. Most people don't even mind the practices of a budget airline as long as they get to their holiday in the cheapest price.
I recently had my first solo flight and I went with Ryanair. Tbh for the short flight and the price I paid, it was everything I needed and more. On air the staff was so pleasant, on land not so much.
I almost always fly legacy airlines. The reason is that if there are canellations with a legacy carrier, they will find you a flight on a different airlines. If you ever had a flight cancellation on a budget airline, then you know that they won't offer you a flight on another carrier. It happened to a friend of mine recently, and he had to wait until the next day to travel. In December, I was flying Lufthansa to the US and my flight to Munich was delayed so much so that I would miss my connection. Lufthansa put me on KLM, so I could arrive in the US close to the time of my original flight. I do fly Southwest airlines occasionally in the US, and in Europe, I have only flown with Ryanair. But I try to avoid the budget airlines if possible. I live in Budapest, and I often fly Lufthansa. I really do like their service.
I flew on EasyJets A319, and it was very dated, then I flew on the new A320neo and there was so much difference. It really depends on the plane you got when flying budget
I think Lufthansa is more expensive is because you’re flying from Milan to Frankfurt and those two are big economic cities but Prague is not as expensive as Frankfurt so if you book Lufthansa to Prague it’ll be like $250 CAD
In my opinion normal airlines in Europe are much better. Not since most budget airlines only fly to weird destinations like in Blegium not to Brussels but brussels south which is about 45 minutes away from brussels by car, but normally normal airline (mostly star airlines group) have much more comfort and are much less stressful. And that your flight was so empty isn't normal for Frankfurt since Frankfurt is the biggest airport in Germany and one of the biggest in Europe. All in all nice video :)
tbh since most European flights are less than 2 hours long, I'm willing to put up with the lack of features in low-cost airlines. Luckily I've had nothing but good experiences with WizzAir and Norwegian, I still have to try RyanAir and EasyJet.
You should understand that within Europe, you will get the same product on either full service airlines, and low cost airlines. The only reason to choose a full-service carrier is for their bonus program and connections. Also, in-flight entertainment is not standard in Europe either. I personally fly with full-service airlines most of the time, but if I need a weekend getaway, I will notl hesitate to book a 20€ EasyJet flight.
Lufthansa is just about the WORST "Full service airline" in europe if we talk seat comfort and food. Legroom can be tight for people above 6feet (182cm or so). So its basically among the worst of the best. KLM has a lot better legroom as they fly 737-8 and 9 and seem to just have better Eco Comfort seats. If this video has to make sense, It would be better to test out some other airlines. KLM wouldve been an EXCELLENT choice, as they do offer the same product a lot of the way, bags a bit different between the two, but free food/snacks and drinks. Also even though it technically ISNT european, Turkish Airlines fly to so many cities in EU that it could be a good one to test also. Turkish for the food alone. Definately not for the chaos boarding and deboarding (as the turkish people are like the sovjet) they stand before reaching the gate and creates a mess of everything. But when i had my Black card with them, i got so used to it that it didn't deter me from flying them again. Just know one vital thing. If you fly Lufthansa Economy Class or even Premium Economy on longhaul routes, bring your own food (a few sandwiches from some of their german hubs are nice, because I guarantee you, since my first 2008 flight with Lufthansa, Ive never had a good meal with them. Dogs would not touch their food. Also try Swiss and Austrian, decent alternatives too.
and no, the seats in *cough* "business class" are not bigger on Lufthansa or Any of the Hansa Group members . They just block the middle seat of the 3. Only proper shorthaul business seats in europe airspace are Turkish (on some aircraft) and one or two others. The rest of them have copied Lufthansa sadly.
And before you make people think that Frankfurt has perpetually fast Security-checks, the airport is notorious for being a MAZE of halls and corridors if you are switching between schengen/non schengen/Longhaul etc. Even getting seasoned travellers lost (me with 100000 miles a year at one point) still managed to get lost during a refurb of an area in Frankfurt. Bad signing in some important places. Very long walking distances. Still decent places to eat, the newly renovated areas are very nice. But you got lucky. At peak hours, Frankfurt are among the busiest and slowest. Try "Aalborg" (AAL) with KLM for the best small nordic airport. If you do, let me know. I will take you to the land of the best hotdog if so ;) !
I think you should fly jet2. They are a great British low cost airline (that I fly on all the time) and are generally forgotten about in the media. Great video :)
By the way, there is a weird system at Prague Airport. The Terminal 1 is for non Schengen areas, and Terminal 2 is for inside Schengen area. Hope it helps! :)
Great review again. Big fan of your reviews. As you stated the Lufthansa is a normal Airline not a budget airline. If you fly Emirates Airlines First Class you want see economy class passangers using their toilet so I can understand why Lufthansa restricts the access to the front toilet to business class passengers. Just let me know if I am wrong. Thanks again for a great review
To be fair, you could do a similar comparison just between easyJet and Ryanair. One is relatively good value for money, the other has blue and yellow livery
It is very common for European airlines to check your luggage for free. Usually I travel with Cyprus Airways and Aegean and they check my bag free of charge almost every single time.
Emirates airlines first class benefits: - shower on airplane(5 mins max) - bar - if you sleep on the plane, the staff change your seat into a bed with bed sheets and everything. You also get pajamas! - you order whatever you want from their menu( Caviar, etc.) they also have this in Business class. - you have a giant screen and a mini iPad so you can play and watch movies - doors have remote locks(complete privacy) - when it’s night, the ceiling of the plane lights up with stars. - a luxury private suite - fine wine and gourmet meals -there is also a mini bar at your suite! -They bring out hot towels -they give you an extra-large bulgari amenity kit with eye masks, toothbrush and a perfume! -there lounge is so big and so luxurious, it would make you feel like you are a billionaire! -there is a nap area in the lounge -you don’t need to pay for most meals on the plane! There are so many more, these are just the basic stuff you might want to know about! Welcome!
I think flying any airline for a short 1-3 hours flight will not make much of a difference… But medium to longhaul flights definitely A full service carrier is the way to go.
I enjoyed my fight with Easy Jet Manchester - Rhodes which was around 4.5 hours in duration. Good service from the crew and most of the flight delay was made up in the air. Seats on all budget airlines have the decline disabled which is not a bad thing. The aircraft was an A320 which is what they operate on flights from the UK. Would use them again. If you like Easy Jet try Jet 2 which has won awards for being a short haul carrier despite the fact that like TUI they use the low cost model.
I thank you for your review but remember comparing normal to budget airlines based on more than just one flight, I think there is a real difference between the two and that every one will decide their criteria what is important or not. Things like “ the **-staff was nicer than the other” is a picture that is too personal end has nothing to do with an airline but with the mood ( or state of fatigue) that person is in…
I would suggest flying on Swiss airlines. I flew with them recently and their quality of service is brilliant, I loved their a220s and they’re an overall great airline!
People forgot that this flights cost as much as train pass ticket. In the 50s only the upper middle class or higher could afford flights or saving up for years . Edit : you get what you paid for unless you got scammed.
Lufthansa is an amazing airline! I flew 12 hours with them, amazing plane, no turbulence, incredible food and service amazing seats! Most importantly, NO DELAYS! Keep on the great work eric!
Thanks for the comparison, but I find that (only because I choose selectively and find reasonable rates) flying in first or business is better for one major reason: less humanity and larger seats. Easy Jet, Ryan air and the like sell may have lower prices but passenger density is far greater. And I'm not a big fan of passengers in one class using the restrooms in another when they are told by crew not to do so. And you could have provided more information about the aircraft; i.e., what total seats in each and type of aircraft. But I do enjoy your contributions to informing the flying community of your experiences.
Can you fly Scandinavian airlines, they are my favorite airline. But they have had pilot strikes in years and are close too die! But they are really good. They did though had 80% of their flights cancelled last summer. Fly them pls. And I love your videos Eric 👍✈️
I can explain why your Lufthansa flight was light. I was a flight attendant for 19 years and I live in Italy. Most passengers are traveling to Italy to go on a cruise. It's not unusual for flights going to southern Europe to be full, but empty when leaving. Italy, Spain, and Greece are hot spots for picking up a cruise.
I normally fly easyJet when going from Gatwick to some areas in Europe. But if I’m going anywhere further than 2.5 hours I’ll fly with Tui only because they have more comfy seats and screens for entertainment. But I would still choose easyJet
Remember Lufthansa are the national carrier of Germany, in my experience for short haul within Europe absolutely no point in going with a legacy carrier, you get a bottle of water and a piece of chocolate/crisps is that worth the extra cost, one thing to be aware of us that some of the low cost (Ryanair) in particular fly to some secondary airfields that could be a considerable distance from the advertised destination. Easyjet must be the best low cost carrier in Europe.
Never heard EasyJet before. Doesn’t look that bad to my perspective. I did flew with Lufthansa (international) before though from Frankfurt to my home city. Lufthansa”s lounges are pretty good as well. Anyways, nice video!
I was once on an airplane and there was just me, my sister, my mom and like 3 other people it was so good dancing around and having basically the whole plain to ourself
Lufthansa really depends on where you're flying them to. Like if you're flying FRA - JFK for example, don't expect that to be as "premium"-level as say FRA - BER for example.
I was the one who was reccomending Lufthansa in the first place that was me I feel ignored I don’t feel acknowledged for that when I was reccomending that really this is like copying mine and getting the credit for it
Hello Eric Struk!Me and my friend are always talking about your videos and how cool they are! This is now my favourite video bcuz easyJet Is one of my favourite airline so i am watching someone ELSE (you) fly easyjet!
I had the exact same problem with EasyJet. Our flight never provided us a gate and never showed up on the screen in Edinburgh. I just so happened to be walking around looking for the gate and ran into the gate being shut. I had to plead to get on our flight or else we would have been stuck overnight.
Easyjet from experience offer free water, but they're the only low cost to do so and aren't truly low cost these days (and Wizz are cheaper than Ryanair for the first time in some years this summer). Easyjet have gone more after business travellers in recent years, something that can't be said about the other two mentioned.
Hello Sir thank you this really helped me. But just so you'll know Frankfurt is the main airport for Germany. I hope you were able to enjoy yourself. Great info!
i feel like flying normal airlines short-haul only happens when you are connecting from a long-haul flight. There is just no reason to pay 3x more unless you are connecting from somewhere else
A normal airline is better than budget based on entertainment, seat, loos and food (most of the time). I would personally recommend taking budget if you guys take a flight that’s less than 2h. Budget has financial advantages due to them being very cheap but overall there are some airlines that are cheap and are a bit like budget based on the airplane type (ex: Royal Jordanian, Turkish Airlines on the Boeing 737 max I think)
I think budget airlines are more full is because they want to reduce the cost to operate that aircraft. Like Sunwing technically. Sunwing airlines make you select a hotel and even though an other person selects an other hotel but in the same region, they will make the plane land in the same airport to reduce the cost for the airline. I'm not sure about it but I think it works this way.
The two hour thing seems to be normal in Europe. I couldn’t check in on Air Lingus more than 2 hours prior and their check in desk in Warsaw didn’t open until the 2 hour mark either.
easyjet is the best, i love easyjet. i’ve flown with them since i was 2, im 16 next year and by the end of july i’ll of been on 30 airplanes, easyjet are SO understanding of my difficulties with flying and their seats are so comfortable, legroom is okay but i don’t really care about that all i care about is taking off safely, easyjet has never had a crash other than their first takeoff which was in the 1900s, and in UK we can always check in before 2 hours so it seems to just be that airport or area, and if you asked the person who was in the window seat most of the time they’ll swap, my mum always pays extra to pick seats due to my panic disorder so i get the window and she gets the middle but when i was younger i didn’t understand planes have to takeoff quick so i’d always say “easyjet!? should be called hardjet” 😂 but the seats just depend which plane you get on, a lot are so comfortable but some feel like a big block of wood
No you are wrong Lufthansa is a better airline than Easyjet because on Google it said Lufthansa is in 15th place of the best airline and Easyjet was in 55th place so Lufthansa is a better airline that Easyjet.
Yikes traveling with a broken foot must be very hard and are you also on crutches too since you broke your foot and did you check in your bag to make it easier for you and were the flight attendants informed about your broken foot when you got onto the plane for boarding and did you have to use the stairs and I bet that that was hard to do with a broken foot having to go up and down the stairs
Let me know which airlines I should put head to head next!✈

Yeah Eric is back !!!
yes indeed!
Fly Denmarks best airlines
which is it?
@@ericstrukmaybe he means SAS
I love this Eric struk plane videos
Yo this is gonna be a banger video
I really appreciate it!
Hello Eric Struk!Me and my friend are always talking about your videos and how cool they are! This is now my favourite video bcuz easyJet Is one of my favourite airline so i am watching someone ELSE (you) fly easyjet!
When I flew with Lufthansa it was completely full so I think it’s just on your flight.
This guy has the most interesting channel I have ever seen
I had the exact same problem with EasyJet. Our flight never provided us a gate and never showed up on the screen in Edinburgh. I just so happened to be walking around looking for the gate and ran into the gate being shut. I had to plead to get on our flight or else we would have been stuck overnight.
You should also compare first class of two airlines
FINNALY I SEE A VIDEO ABOUT EASY JET
You were on the emergency exit row hence the extra legroom. Usually Easyjet charge extra for this.
Easyjet from experience offer free water, but they're the only low cost to do so and aren't truly low cost these days (and Wizz are cheaper than Ryanair for the first time in some years this summer).
Easyjet have gone more after business travellers in recent years, something that can't be said about the other two mentioned.
Video idea, fly lot airlines compared to a bigger airline and see what is better
Hello Sir thank you this really helped me. But just so you'll know Frankfurt is the main airport for Germany. I hope you were able to enjoy yourself. Great info!
Yoho! Saturday evening an super nice video!😊
i feel like flying normal airlines short-haul only happens when you are connecting from a long-haul flight.
Generally any airline from Middle East or Türkiye will be much much better then European airlines on the same routes
You never fail to dissapoint i only subscribed yesterday and kept watching ur vids keep it up
Try the best airport for a bit of a change pls (btw love the vids eric!)
And maybe the worst one
The trays pull out game was as good as yours?! 😂 wasn’t expecting that!
I’m going on Delta then to New Jersey I’m excited because of all your reviews
Great video eric
thank you I really appreciate it!
Finally you put easyJet in thumbnail
At least You flew easyJet
The two hour thing seems to be normal in Europe. I couldn’t check in on Air Lingus more than 2 hours prior and their check in desk in Warsaw didn’t open until the 2 hour mark either.
I've flown easyJet all my life and they are really good at their job
13:25 the lady with the side eye
literally
I tried easy jet from Cyprus to Germany and it was amazing
easyjet is the best, i love easyjet. i’ve flown with them since i was 2, im 16 next year and by the end of july i’ll of been on 30 airplanes, easyjet are SO understanding of my difficulties with flying and their seats are so comfortable, legroom is okay but i don’t really care about that all i care about is taking off safely, easyjet has never had a crash other than their first takeoff which was in the 1900s, and in UK we can always check in before 2 hours so it seems to just be that airport or area, and if you asked the person who was in the window seat most of the time they’ll swap, my mum always pays extra to pick seats due to my panic disorder so i get the window and she gets the middle but when i was younger i didn’t understand planes have to takeoff quick so i’d always say “easyjet!? should be called hardjet” 😂 but the seats just depend which plane you get on, a lot are so comfortable but some feel like a big block of wood
Easyjet is not bad the food is good the seats are comfortable and very easy to sleep and quiet
nahh cuz this guy is so polite and understanding about everything that happens 😭
No you are wrong Lufthansa is a better airline than Easyjet because on Google it said Lufthansa is in 15th place of the best airline and Easyjet was in 55th place so Lufthansa is a better airline that Easyjet.
You should fly the oldest airline vs the newest airline next
I love your videos
Eric I'm going on spirit airways this year to travel I tried to convince my mom not to but she booked the spirit airway already in just 1 minutes.
Rip
In terms of budget airlines I recommended Tui the biggest bonus with them is you do get 1 USB port for charging devices
You should try flying emerald airlines! Apparently they aren’t very good! It would be good to hear your opinion!☺️
Isn't Emerald part of AerLingus?
Great content as usual Eric love your video's ✈️❤❤❤
Do Ryanair vs spirit next
Do JetBlue! I’ve flew them many times perfect. Free snacks, free Wi-Fi nice staff, no delays.
I flew Ryanair 3 weeks ago I broke my foot, no leg room but luckily the flight was only 2 hours. From Gothenburg, landvetter to Banja Luka in Bosnia
In Europe most check-in counters for flights are opened 2h before departure.
0:08 NOT EASYJET OH NOOOOOOO
I love you content man ❤❤❤ keep going
many more videos to come!
@@ericstruk i am so shocked you actually commented
