Ernest Tubb Lonesome Valley Lyrics
You gotta walk that lonesome valley you gotta go there by yourself
There's no one here can go there with you you gotta go there by yourself
Mother said while she was dying and her breath was almost gone
Keep your trust in the Holy Bible it will guide you safely home
You gotta walk
If you cannot sing like angels if you cannot preach like Paul
You can tell the love of Jesus you can tell he died for all
You gotta walk
This is real country music. Love Ernest Tubb
You are missed still and always, Mr. Tubb. I look forward to meeting you on the other side.
Never heard a version quiete so ‘ornate’ as this one! Very nice.
You said alot of wisdom in this one!!Hope to see you in Hillbilly Heaven on that final day!.Mr. Tubb💕👍💯
Love that Gibson ES-330 either a '63-65 model! And love me some Ernest Tubb! Just finished the GREAT documentary, 'Country Music." Directed by Ken Burns! Learned a lot...! I strongly recommend it! PBS 16 hours on 8 2 hours episodes!
Two great guitars, the Gibson ES-330 and E.T.’s famous Epiphone. Many long time C&W fans have expressed big disappointment with Ken Burns’ PBS series “Country Music”. The general opinion seems to be, a few parts excepted, it should have come with a plunger. It was oriented toward the. ‘crossover’ personalities rather than ‘hard country’ folks who got really short shrift. For example Johnny Cash got extensive time while Webb Pierce got barely a brief mention. For a while it was the DeFord Bailey show with political overtones. It was probably what should have been expected when the alleged story of country music was left in the unlikely hands of a leftist from New York to produce it and the deep pockets donor targeting PBS to air it.
@@jameshepburn4631 Great synopsis... Chris Scruggs ... Now he could put something together I bet!!!
Do you have any better Country Documentaries to suggest???
I LOVE the history and the music!!!
@@jpb1231000 There are actually quite a few better histories & documentaries but you have to search for them under individual names like ‘The Buck Owens Story’ or ‘Story of Lefty Frizzell’ for example. You’ll learn a lot also if you take the time to read the comments with the individual posts. Regards
This man was a master of his art.
Ernest Tubbs, now that is real country music!
When life gets hard, remember the One upon the cross.
Mom's favorite performer was Erenst Tubb. I haven't heard this sing in decades! Thank you.
Hank Williams was dad's favorite.
Hank williams is my favorite too! I like Erenst Tubb to, but he never beats the lovesick blues boy. Edit: thanks for the like!
@@TimerGameroryxGaming My favorite is Johnny Cash.
My grandma used sing this to me when I was little....I am 58 and she has long passed. I just thought of it today after all these years...I love you Dora Lily....
