My dad and brother barely make 150 some days. January has proven hard for them. They’re out for 12 hours some days trying to make enough money for the week. And it is their main source of income. It was good a while back but doing uber has proven difficult because of how Uber operates paying drivers less than they used to. Seems like you really have to grovel for that 150 and the costs mean your net take home is not even break even its negative some days. They may get tickets if the passenger makes them stop in a place they can’t stop (unknowingly) also adding to the costs. Empathise with you.
Wow china town to Heathrow £30 😱 How on earth do you earn any money after you deduct your expenses that has really shocked me. Same journey in a black cab will be around £90+
I'm a black cab driver and last night I had a Heathrow terminal 4 from tower bridge , it was £110 , which included drop off charge . They paid cash too, which was even sweeter
On a more positive note ; what is the best/ longest trip that you have done in the Tesla ? Did you have to recharge to be able to get back ? Are Tesla charging points ( Supercharger ) cheap for you to use ? + Would you choose a Tesla again ? Do you love her ? 😍🤷♂️
i use a tesla S 90D . the customers all love it but uber is so greedy on the exec jobs here (west mids) , they literally pass on an extra quid sometimes
I make 200£ Per day Monday to Thursday working on just eat and uber and 270 on weekends all this on moped people don’t know many trick of how you can avoid the traffic and taking short ways and how manage when you receive orders from differents apps
I know I did it under those circumstances aswell as living 50 miles from London. It can be done if you need advice on how to start let me know I’m happy to help 👍🏻
question about your car. i am working with merc c-class and i want to get tesla. first i wanted model 3 due to its size, but now i think more and more abiut model S but i know its way wider than my merc and even now is hard to get thru some streets so how you find it with tesla S
It is definitely wide. I’m struggling a lot one the width restriction especially the 6.6 feet it’s almost impossible to pass without touching one of the side 🤣 To be honest I stopped working in residential areas since long time now. Once in a while I need to pass through a restriction but I manage it. Passing very along and probably making lots of drivers upset behind me 🤣🤣
Again it depends where you are , usually that’s what I do after drop off I get back to central. But if I know the drop off location well and been there I could try to wait and get a return job. It all depends on where you are..
Thanks for the video bro. How would you compare being an Uber driver to a Deliveroo scooter rider? Is there a big difference in earnings? You never mentioned anything about it in your videos.
That’s true I should do a video about that! To answer shortly im happy doing this compared to delivering food. I can earn more and be comfortable inside the car without worrying about the weather. Downside is that it costs more to get started..
City driving stop&go consumes a lot of energy. It’s not a constant speed like in a carriageway where the car is more efficient. Also the heating and low temperature affects the consumption. As I said I will do a in depth review about the car explaining in more detail. Coming up soon.
@@MrSharK97 Are you aware that freezing temperatures damages the battery in your car? Especially if you store the battery in the freezing cold. This is a big reason the range is reduced in the long run.
It depends, if you’re in a busy area I’d just wait there. There’s a lot customers around you anyway. When there’s not enough driver Uber offers you jobs even from 2-3 miles away.
Good tip for you. Put enough money away through the year to cover a month's money and have January off....

Uber paid you less than the minimum wage after the operating costs how is that legal??? HMRC are following this poor lad

How much is your rent for your tesla? Be interesting to know difference in costs vs black taxi, as fares are so low.
I own my Tesla. Not sure what the rents are for Tesla model S. I know grinder of mine used to rent MG and VW ID3 for around £250 a week.
Good luck !. 🙏🤞 !.

Good video Mr. Shark .
Yes , January is a bad month for work .
Apart from that is your home life good ?
From end of this year all electric cars will pay congestion charge
38 for 2 hrs is called modern slavery
Why don’t you just do the knowledge and drive a black cab earn so much more money. Also use the bus lanes etc 🤷🏼♂️
Very true, but the knowledge is really difficult to do when you have kids/family and need to work to pay your bills

Is it not better to come back to central immediately after drop off even if empty to catch again good job from central?

I wouldn’t say it’s the worst month first week of Jan was busy and throughout I just stay away from central London at all costs

@12:20 surely you're Tesla has depreciated more than your profit in those two years 💀
Sad but kind of true 🤦😭
Hi Mr Shark, why do you think your car can travel only 84 miles?
