That's when Chelsea fans were put in the Park Lane next to where I was.

The large numbers at the game were due to the match not being all ticket, despite millwalls and the old bills advice to Luton to do so. And the police wanted the large numbers of supporters off the streets....all in one place. Something like 10 thousand trying to get into an end that end 4 How one or more fans weren't killed that awful night I'll never know.

Just to put an end to the pathetic rumours we had West Ham Chelsea etc at Luton in 85 what happened was when we got took to court the judge would ask who we supported one of us said West Ham the rest of us started laughing and from that moment on when we went into the dock we would say we were Chelsea or West Ham etc and the media picked it up and ran with it, we would never under any circumstances join with anyone ( oh unless it’s away with England) and if anyone is silly enough to believe we would need to join up to take on Luton then they are melts, kudos to the migs they tried to have it but we’re outnumbered and outmatched still their good lads.

The Spurs v Chelsea one, I was there as a teenager. Yes Chelsea were in two parts of the ground. But when it kicked off on the pitch, Spurs nutters from all sides went on the pitch and battered Chelsea. Spurs were wearing the dark blue and white scarves clearly seen. Chelsea had a medium blue and white scarf. Reflecting the teams colours at that time. Chelsea won other battles with Spurs, but not this day. Spurs were much stronger at that time and were never worried about Chelsea. That would switch in the 80s when Chelsea were much stronger.
I was also at this game as a kid and was locked out after the game started, I think behind the shelf when there was a massive roar form outside the away end, a big mob of Chelsea had turned up very late and couldn't get in and was escorted all the way back to Victoria on the underground. I also went to the night game with Chelsea at White hart Lane when the floodlights failed towards the end of the game. Also went to the the notorious Millwall game at the Den and to West ham in the mid 70's, but to be honest not a lot of Chelsea use to go to West ham in the 70's they all seemed so much older.

The Spurs v Chelsea one, I was there as a teenager. Yes Chelsea were in two parts of the ground. But when it kicked off on the pitch, Spurs nutters from all sides went on the pitch and battered Chelsea. Spurs were wearing the dark blue and white scarves clearly seen. Chelsea had a medium blue and white scarf. Reflecting the teams colours at that time. Chelsea won other battles with Spurs, but not this day. Spurs were much stronger at that time and were never worried about Chelsea. That would switch in the 80s when Chelsea were much stronger.
I was also at this game as a kid and was locked out after the game started, I think behind the shelf when there was a massive roar form outside the away end, a big mob of Chelsea had turned up very late and couldn't get in and was escorted all the way back to Victoria on the underground. I also went to the night game with Chelsea at White hart Lane when the floodlights failed towards the end of the game. Also went to the the notorious Millwall game at the Den and to West ham in the mid 70's, but to be honest not a lot of Chelsea use to go to West ham in the 70's they all seemed so much older.

Might be true...I have no idea .I was inside watching their small mob get battered...that's fact!
