I once charged up at an ENEL X in Del Mar, CA. It was free and it worked. It started out at 50kw and averaged 48kw for the full charge from 45% to 95%.

We're road tripping from PA to Nashville this weekend. That same charging station in Wythville,VA came up on our route. I don't think I've heard Wythville Virginia twice in one day in my life. 🤣
That’s funny. Border towns are now a thing because WV doesn’t do EV charging.

I travel between NC and IN regularly and the Wytheville Circle K charger is pretty good. My other stop before Ohio is Charleston, there’s a couple of new 62.5 kW ChargePoint chargers there. Another ChargePoint 62.5 kW on the WV/OH border at Chillicothe.

I know. I have two Teslas.
We have to go through there on our way to Florida from Ohio and yes it is a desert except now with the A2Z Tesla adapter it's no problem as long as you have a Tesla, Ford or Rivian
It’s a great corridor for supercharging. The best maybe. No traffic
Yeah, I drive up from Florida to Buffalo, NY a few times a year in my Polestar 2. I have the range to only stop once in WV if I load up on the border, but that's also a time waster, plus you get the stink eye when the station is busy. I've basically gone around WV to minimize the risk of either no chargers working or waiting, since each of the few fast chargers on the way only have one stall. I instead just take I-81 and go through central PA, a bit longer but worth it for me. That Pilot J can't come soon enough and hopefully more.

It appears to be difficult to plan for a trip. Could you use the navigation system in the Ocean and select the chargers showing up on the route?
I drove from Allentown, PA to Midlothian VA. following suggested stations on the Ocean GPS. I was pleased by the choices for charging.

I will use the ln-car GPS, but because I have never used any of these charging stations, I like to know the alternatives. Also, the Ocean sport has around 200 miles of range, whereas the Ocean Ultra/Extreme/One. Also, the last time I used it, it crashed and froze the screen for 150 miles of the trip. I’ll update you as to how it goes

Scotland has a population of 5.4 million. 😮😮
1.7 million people in West Virginia, and around 10 fast chargers.
I live in Scotland and used to use the government charging stations because there was nobody else. Here’s hoping Charge Place Scotland doesn’t buy any more 7kW AC or 50kW DC units and puts in a few (there aren’t any) 150kW units. One great thing with the CPS units is even if they are only 7kW there are chargers in some very remote places and often those really remote ones are free to use. Adam, if you want to see how poorly the less populated areas of Scotland are catered for with chargers scroll your PlugShare map over to this side of the pond! Oh and don’t even look at Wales there are about as many chargers there as in your ECUSA “charging desert”
Brand new Owner of an Ocean One in Big Sur Blue, Sea Salt interior. Could not say now as the insane build sheet said $71k and I got it, used 1060 miles, for $35k from a local dealer so no destination or shipping cost. I have travelled cross country in my 2020 BMW i3s REX and I noticed that Electrify America is somewhat marginal with maintaining equipment. Chargepoint stations are usually very slow, level 2 speeds. Do you have better luck than I with Electrify America. My last trip was about 1 year ago, perhaps they got better?
The new EA stations are more reliable. But it’s extremely common to have 1 out of 4 inoperative.
@@Aslash304 Yep I noticed that last time. In fact, back a year ago I would often see 2 of 6 out of order and 1 additionally at a slow charge rate. Now the BMW i3 does not require or accept the very fast charging so the slower rate Electrify America was sufficient.

This is crazy how much planning you have to do!
So glad the UK infrastructure is more advanced and accessible.
I only have to plan in this much detail when I tow with my EV’s to ensure I have space the unhitch and charge (or ideally even charge whilst hitched).
@@novaguy9767 for sure I understand the geography differences. Just one of the reasons why EV adoption is so much better in some places than others.

Interesting that, somehow, you got an Ocean Sport. Some have said that they never made any Sports. In fact I think I saw someone, might have been you, scrolling down the available inventory, and could not find any. Perhaps, early on for early adopters, they had Sport models available?????
I reserved the car in January of 2020. I referred hundreds of people. I converted my reservation to a deposit immediately in August of 2022. I put my $1000 down before Fisker had delivered 50 of the Ocean One. I confirmed the build within an hour of the opportunity being available. And yes, I spent 8 hours confirming that there aren’t any for sale in the US
@@Aslash304 So you might have a collectors item there with so few Sport models made. Wonder how many Sport models were actually produced. I just bought an Ocean One today. Used 1000 miles at $35k which saved me the $2438 Destination and Handling and the $850 delivery fee. I, specifically wanted the Ocean One because, perhaps, it will be a collectible as it was the early adoption model. I have no idea if the perks, like the free set of first replacement tires transfers to the second owner and if Fisker survives then, perhaps the Ocean One numbered 1-5000 might have some collector value. I guess if they fail, maybe the Extremes will be more valuable as perhaps they will have made less of them than the Ocean One. It's a gamble. Watching The Fisker King, who I had spoken to about the Karma, I had gained a little extra confidence.

100% accurate. But I’d like to know what it’s like to make the NC trip in the Fisker. I’ve done a trip to DC, which is the same as the Jersey trip until I get to I-81. Good spot

@@geraldh.8047 dont know.. I dont live in that area. but i am confident my tesla will auto route me around that "desert", and let me know what I need to do. with my FSD... I let just let the car do 95% of the work.
Rent a gas car, just a waste of time and a huge risk. I drove through WV several times with my Tesla, zero chance I would try with my CCS car.
