It amaze me so much that NO ONE in the comments pointed out that Jordan Vogt-Roberts(hipster with the beard or whatever) is the director of the next Metal Gear movie. That's why he is spend so much time with Kojima the last couple of years, and finally becoming friends with him. Kojima will produce the movie, and should be involved in the creative side of it. That's why this guy was invited as a "host".
Omg I didn't know that! Thanks a lot for pointing it out. Hopefully it'll be the first movie game that doesn't suck. I'm stoked for it now seeing the relationship these two guys have
The movie will be produced by Arad productions, the same guys that created Marvel Studios(sounds familiar?). Now, they had plenty of money to buy the rights from Konami and produce the film without problems. Arad productions will produce the movie along with Columbia Pictures, whose parent company is Sony Pictures Entertainment(they are going to distribute the film too). Kojima will be writing the script along with another guy named Jay Basu and the same Vogt-Roberts. And as far as right now, it seems that everything is going well with the development of the movie. So...we just have to wait.
Pretty sure that was Christopher Randolf, the guy that used to play Hal Emmerich in MGS that explained to Sam that he would create a time void if he was found in the third trailer.
+Eddie Mobbs Sounded like someone with a Spanish/Latino accent to me. I'll be surprised if it's him doing that voice, but since we don't have full cast listings and I've never heard him try that type of accent, I guess it's possible it could still be him.
This is NOT a Death Stranding panel, this is an interview about Kojima's film making techniques and influences. Don't expect more game info, that's not what this is.
I like this analogy better: The entertainment that you consume is your oxygen - nurturing you. The art you put out is carbon dioxide - nurturing the world.
As a fellow film director, who is obsessed with Kohima, this is the interview I’ve always wanted!!!!! One day we need the full Hitchcock/Truffaut style interview book for Kojima
It's hilarious how many here have no idea who the host is, that he's a director and that he is friends with Kojima. He's one of about 10 people outside the studio that know what the game is about.
It's also hilarious how people mistook this for a Death Stranding panel or interview... when it's not. That interview was with Geoff Keighley and Lindsay Wagner earlier, lol. This wasn't meant to focus on the game.
Kojima san is really a perfectionist, the amount of times he will instersect the translation to convey his vision more presicely shows his need of self expression. Cant wait for Death Stranding!
I remember playing MG Solid Snake and thinking, who made this? and for the first time i actually read the credits and came to know the name Hideo Kojima, and i have been a fan ever since
In this interview, you could see that Jordan is hungry to get better -- asking the real questions to gleam true insight and knowledge from Kojima and thus improve his own work. Jordan Vogt-Roberts truly wants to learn from the best and that is how you get better. I know this because I'm the same way and I do the same thing. I thank God that I was taught to know and understand that it takes extreme humility to grow, improve, and transform one's self and ascend to not just new heights, but to new realms! And Jordan, like myself, is some of those people who fathom that. This interview session is really powerful because sickly profound questions is being asked towards someone who is incredibly wise and gifted in their craft. And when you ask brilliant minds the right questions, you won't just get just answers, but enlightenment which would make your mind more capable -- more intelligent than before.
MR MOORE™ Did you know that many scenes in films and games are made out of sequence and put together by editing teams along with everything else to put all aspects of the entire project together. So yes, the ending mo-cap may have been finished, but that could mean anything from it being done 30% through production to the end process before editing... Bottom line, wrapping up the end of a scene no longer tells us how far in development a film or ip is. Sorry to kill your vibe bro
MR MOORE™ its not a movie a game needs to be playable from start to finish a game dev brings the actors to finish the mocap as fast as they can cuz actors are expensive then they start constructing the game then edit the mocab assets in game and cut scenes then comes the sound which is the hardest thing in a game usually the sound team get paid more than anyone
Most the time in my own naive ways I wish people spoke english to explain it completely themselves.. But when it comes to Kojima, he makes me want to learn Japanese. His translator tho is amazing.
XxShadowGTxX That's because Translator Ken actually uses a pen to prevent sin of miscommunication and grab the right words to reach the audiences within
Death Stranding will be amazing and to be honest I dont really care if death stranding is good or bad,I will still buy it,just for sake of revenge after what konami have done to Kojima and then killed one of my favourite game franchise.
Single take cut-scenes feel so fresh. MGSV imo is better than even Birdman( though that were limited because they were shooting IRL). Also I'm tired of people saying Kojima is the "cutscene guy" is a genius game designer, just look at P.T, MGSV:GZ, or any of his prev games. The whole KojiPro studio is super talented from Yoji Shinkawa to the translators. BTW you can skin the cutscenes in MGS4.
This was such a tough hour to watch... I thought it was a playtest and not a discussion about "the process". It was at least 40 minutes of camera angle talk.
I just hope its not only about delivering packages and stealth segments. Death Stranding looks amazing, also looks like it runs the risk of being very boring, needs a good balance of combat as well, maybe it will be shown in the next trailer.
Wouldn't be surprised if he speaks and understands a lot - seeing as how many movies he watches in english. It's a pronunciation issue I think. No point learning a language you can't pronounce.
His beard has "awesomeness" potential, but it needs major maintenance. He also needs to grow out his mustache a bit. The Stache can't be that small with a large beard, it looks to weird.
Mad respect for the translator!
The Voice of a God
Dritos
HAHAHAHA
Dritos I
+Dritos Nah!? Mad respect for the beard!
What's his name?

OMG. And here I was thinking he was some kind of youtube content creators..
DarkThomy
LMAO!! he directed Kong Skulls Island. And another pretty cool independent movie called "The Kings of Summer"
I Follow Jordan on twiter, he is cool a dude. It just made really appreciate Kong :Skull Island more.
"if only we shared a common tongue"
-Quiet
shitty quote from a shitty fan service character
Oliver watson Quiet is love, Quiet is life
Nuel Sima yes
Ken was the cure all along!
What a missed opportunity kojima should have said "kept you waiting huh"
Tbh hes never been the same since how Konami treated him.
inb4 konami sues him for using Konami property.
He wasn't out as soon as you announced him...kept you waiting, huh.
Rob Gibson it took that much time for the translator to tell him in Japanese
Rob Gibson
HA!!
mg lh hey that could be the reason! Completely fair!
Hahaha nice reference dude, I liked that.
What took you so long?
Konami - Fission Mailed.
Pretty sure that was Christopher Randolf, the guy that used to play Hal Emmerich in MGS that explained to Sam that he would create a time void if he was found in the third trailer.

4th trailer!!!!!!! E3 2018 is the 4th trailer.
You ever just mail nuclear fission to some guy and say “Haha! Get gunked on my florbo!”
"I'AM BACK"
Hideo Kojima
Mark Mark "kept you waiting, huh?"
Mark Mark I’ll BE BACK
- Arnold Schwarzenegger
Terminator did it first ;)
georgeklsa No he didn’t... he never said I’M Back!!
うん、私は間違いなく戻っている
Hideo Kojima
Man, 12 yrs in Japan but I couldn't keep up with Hideo for long. That translator is a prodigy.
This is NOT a Death Stranding panel, this is an interview about Kojima's film making techniques and influences. Don't expect more game info, that's not what this is.
You're the real MVP
Thank you for saving me
Yeah... is really frustrating.
Dude thanks for saving me an hour!
You truly are a treasure

Big props to Ken for the translation

Deathbrewer
Exactly
If you look closely this video is just a cutscene of deathstranding
Kojima san is really a perfectionist, the amount of times he will instersect the translation to convey his vision more presicely shows his need of self expression. Cant wait for Death Stranding!
Yeah, just look at MGS V.....
The gameplay was good but In the story and narrative department......It was a joke. Hope death stranding is an overall masterpiece!
mad props to that translator, that dude is a pro.
I remember playing MG Solid Snake and thinking, who made this? and for the first time i actually read the credits and came to know the name Hideo Kojima, and i have been a fan ever since

I kinda just want to buy this game to support this company. Hideo Kojima is an absolute legend.
All three of these men will do great things for this franchise. Especially the translator. Bless that man.
They have already mo capped the ending to death stranding. Pretty big info.
MR MOORE™ Did you know that many scenes in films and games are made out of sequence and put together by editing teams along with everything else to put all aspects of the entire project together. Kojima rocking newest Acronym x Vapormax Nike kicks!
Most the time in my own naive ways I wish people spoke english to explain it completely themselves.. But when it comes to Kojima, he makes me want to learn Japanese. His translator tho is amazing.
XxShadowGTxX That's because Translator Ken actually uses a pen to prevent sin of miscommunication and grab the right words to reach the audiences within
It's a shame that the mics are bad. But it's a nice conversation, though I was expecting them to talk about the MGS movie.
Death Stranding will be amazing and to be honest I dont really care if death stranding is good or bad,I will still buy it,just for sake of revenge after what konami have done to Kojima and then killed one of my favourite game franchise.
Enjoyed the interview again this year. Next year though, better mics please.
The issue is Hideo and the translator keeping them too close to their mouth. The mic quality is ok
Very good interview all in all. 1st time I saw Yoji got interviewed. Good job for Ken in translating very hard questions and answers.
Dammn Kojima flexed up with the acronym vapormax. Waiting direly for ur next work dude
Anyone can figure out which watch he's wearing? Love the bracelet design. Thx in advance
The master developer Is back !
what are those shoes Kojima is wearing?
Found em, Nike Acronym Vapormax
Nike vapormax Acronym one of three colors
200$
I want, the looks nice.
Wtf was the lumberjack wearing you mean XD
Holy hipster, Batman!
Is this even more confirmation that Jordan's MGS adaptation is moving forward at a steady pace??
Hideo confirmed a hypebeast.
Hahahahahaha but acronym vapormaxs are off of hypebeasts radars now , thankfully
1:32 FELIX RICK from Gameswelt (Green Shirt)
He is a E3 Veteran and ne coole Sau!
The translator have the best teacher in the world i would kill to be able accompany kojima and learn from him
A wizard arrives precisely when he means to.
Hideo with the Acronym Vapormax, tho. lol
Kojima-san with The Acronyms?!?!?!?!? Dope to see him on the more fashionable side of things!!!!!!!
This guy's beard is more convoluted than death stranding's plot.
That dude handled the delay at the beginning like a boss 😉 good job 👍🏻
Just scrolling down to see how many posted a comment on the beard. Lol.
I would (will) pay three times the price of a cinema ticket to watch Cyborg Ninja portaited well on the big screen.
Single take cut-scenes feel so fresh. MGSV imo is better than even Birdman( though that were limited because they were shooting IRL). Anyone know where we can buy the Death Stranding shirts kojima is wearing
For extra-... _excitement_ turn on auto-translate captions!
But not if you want to know what anybody was saying...
Plot twist!
The captions are spot-on and Kojima's actually just a bumbling lunatic!
Papa Kojima looking fly as always
Hey dude on stage you misspoke and said San instead of Sama.
I think people will play this game and STILL wont know what it’s about.
I:Mallia dark souls is similar
I hope current game developers are watching this interview
This was such a tough hour to watch... I thought it was a playtest and not a discussion about "the process". It was at least 40 minutes of camera angle talk.
All three of these guys are awesome
Kojima-san, kept us waiting, huh...
this guys a good interviewer, asking some decent questions
he was a good host
Translator is a god..... He was a part of mgs team in konami
Dude look at this beard!!
Where can I get a shirt like that?
I love cinematography.
mics are messed up
Кодзима - Гений
question why don't Kojima direct his own hollywood metal gear movie instead of Jordan?
The Lucas Effect surrounds Kojima
(a room full of yes men)
Remember the prequels?
Not saying it's gonna be a super bad game, but usually when geniuses are surrounded by yes men, even the best could fall
I just hope its not only about delivering packages and stealth segments. Death Stranding looks amazing, also looks like it runs the risk of being very boring, needs a good balance of combat as well, maybe it will be shown in the next trailer.
KOJIMAAAAAAAAA!!!
How did you make a game about being a postman so cool???
jdnation lmao right?
This interview makes me want to play metal gear.
2:03 OWAWAWAWA~
Thish ish that Chrishhh hiiiiii
Konami's next title: Metal Gear Survive Battle Royale
I am one fool who went out & purchased Metal Gear Survive hot on the heels of MGSV.
I've played it, it sucked....this man Kojima IS A GOD!
y dont u talk about movies and movie directions in movies conferences
Hideo Kojima just marketed the Nike x Acronym Air Vapormax to me 😂
where is Neill Blomkamp?
true artist
After this talk they went out for a good ol' barn raising.
That beard though *epic
Hideo kojima missed the chance to say Kept u waiting huh?
Comment section: what's up with beard.... Magnificent beard. Lol
日本の任天堂は、TVゲームフャミリーコンピューターのスーパーマリオは、TVゲームのパイオニアです。

今後の次回の作品を期待します。
小島監督さん吉川さん同じ日本人で誇りであります。ありがとう☺️
If Vogt-Roberts completely shaved his beard he would look like a 16 year old kid.
someone gotta give this a guy a book that teaches how to put on wigs properly..lol
Why is everyone crying about this guys beard?
possible archive footage when they were just joking around before the guy ruined the MGS movie.
When will we Talk about the beard
When the translators mic doesn't work properly and there's no english subtitles... time to learn Japanese
im sorry I couldn't hear anything because beard
writes questions to ask
asks 2 questions
more like the translators conversation with jordan
Just eat the mic...
I never understood why such a worldwide figure like Kojima never learned English
Wouldn't be surprised if he speaks and understands a lot - seeing as how many movies he watches in english. It's a pronunciation issue I think. No point learning a language you can't pronounce.
Im the one dude standing up
Epic Acronym sneakers \m/
so cool!
I knew the translator was legit because he had a notepad in his hand. I never fully trust translators without a notepad when translating Japanese.
if only that guy made good films I would be excited that he is making the metal gear film :(
this is like talking with delay
Thanks Shigeru for causing Kojima to happen!
But that walking simulator will probably fail Kojima thanking should've gotten hentai Business
11:20
There's some of that in this video from a Mexican soap opera ruclips.net/video/BwBpOMieDmw/видео.html
His beard has "awesomeness" potential, but it needs major maintenance. He also needs to grow out his mustache a bit. The Stache can't be that small with a large beard, it looks to weird.
Jordan's beard seems like salafi muslim beard.
DUDE that mustache will cost WB billions to remove!!!!!111
