Who's here after DSP said that he was drunk, the game lagged, he couldn't block, his moves couldn't come out, he's younger than you, and claimed that the footage was both yours and his?
So many sweet 'n salty memories from this game, with all of the wasted quarters and the numb fingers. It was worth it, and I'm glad they brought this back.
I was fortunate enough to have a Tilt as well in a small town called Victoria, TX. Also in Austin, TX we had a Tilt and an Aladdins Castle! The fighting game players were always at Tilt, best times at those places!
He didn't upload it, he even said on PS3 it was very laggy and didn't decide to upload it. I saw in twitter that Max was tweeting Phil this video. They might have another match together someday.
Also remember guys, MvC on PS1 couldn't handle 2 on 2 battles unless it was crossover mode(each player picks 1 character, 2both players get both characters). So going to Arcades to practice was a good idea.
Here in 2021 because in the early 2000’s there was a MvC cab at my local movie theatre..I was probably 4 or 5. Parents rarely let me play the games. Maybe played it 4 times..I just bought an Arcade1up MvC cab. Max I’ve been here for years and never watched these vids bc I didn’t need to. Now I do.
At first I I just saw you played against Darksydephil. I watch his channel also from time to time cause I find him funny. Seeing you beat him in your video, i already know I'm gonna be in for a treat with him complaining about lag in his online playing video ahahaha.
what, Tilt is still here in Valencia, the arcade moved into what used to be the pet store. I think it was due to the new gym that opened up where the Borders use to be.
DSP was so childlike it was just discouraging to watch him when I first came across his videos. I'd like to think he's grown up since then, but based on other viewers' comments I'm not sure if this is the case. Well, there are many different kinds of people out there.
"No...that's not how it works." "Nooo, that's not how it works." "NO!" *Rage quit* "That's not how the game works man! You can't do that offline! It only works with shitty, laggy online play. Fucking scrub!"
Max, I love your videos. I just wanted to say the first two matches against DarkSydePhil, he is ranked 5th in the world in this game. I just watched him play some matches online and I've always wondered what would happen if you two went up against each other. It did not disappoint. Thanks again Max keep the awesome vids coming!
Ah the memories of Tilt. Used to go to the one in Sacramento. All the real comp was at Gameroom though. But I loved going to Tilt since the owner and workers were super nice.
Your right, he does have an attitude but he has to be entertaining. But you also have to remember that he was grown in the rough arcade smacktalk times. He might be arrogant, but he was number 5 in the world at this game. Fanatiq talks crap all the time, look at when Joker called Fanatiq out and wouldnt fight him or him and RayRay. Fanatiq was also born into the "Rough" arcade times as well. Not to mention that Strider Hiryu is ridiculously great in this, especially online.
Gambit infinite combo is just crazy lol The game is just great and I really want to put my pc games to the side and get right back into console games! Ty max!
The arcade I went to back in the day was called Tilt as well, in Corpus Christi, Tx. Also in a mall. I wonder if they were related. I believe this one is still there.
Woh, I didn't know Tilt was not just a city specific gaming place. Neato. I loved going to the one in our mall and it was one oft he best things ever. I'd crunch in so many quarters to play MvC, MvC2, Gauntlet Legends, and a couple other games. I was absolutely sad when the place went down under and now it's replaced with a play area that you pay like.. $20 or something to play on the Xbox's, Wii's or PS3's. It looks promising with the ability to connect with others, but I don't know about $20.
Part 1 :ha I remember playing this at a mall too. I think it was called newport mall in hoboken NJ and man there so many people at the time playing MVC. I'll never forget my first time. Some guy that talked down to me saying go back to nintendo kid and that really bother as kid so my friend told me come on I got this game at home for PS and he have stick and it took me about 3 weeks to get the buttons and team i was good at. So I show to see he was there cause he was frist I wanted to face
PPL are scared to get caught in an infinite because they are easy to pull off in that game but I still love it. I'll start playing online once I knock off all the rust from when I played years ago as a kid also I think most of the players that like and play MSH should be around 30 sum thing yrs old and are at work like me.
For anyone who's wondering what DSP was saying during these matches: "Oh my god! It's lagging! Did you see that! Seriously, man! AAhaahaahaa what a broken game"
Valencia Tilt still exists. They just moved it from their old spot next to the theater to inside the indoor mall. Not much fighting games there though just an Initial D Arcade Stage, SF4 and a Tekken 5 cabinet.
In the same way that you hate some celebrities but have never actually met them in person to see what they are really like? It's that kind of attitude that gets me pissed with people. You CAN'T hate someone you don't know.
Also, I was never actually spectacular at the fighting games because I never got really use to the sticks. I mostly played just... to play. I remember getting my butt handed to me several times. Even though occasionally it sucked major balls when I was at Onslaught or Abyss and had to give up the game to some passerby.
"You don't complain about Maxamillion buying these games online where's he has a Dreamcast with these games." I didn't know Playstation1 and the Dreamcast has online multiplayer support.
It's all good, I never owned it, but I played it. Compared to any Vs fighting games IMHO this is pretty balanced with a healthy roster. When I get a Wii U i'll buy TvC as first game! If they scrap Megaman, Zero's still there, I'd settle for Protoman and Bass too =)
Yo, I didn't own the Wii, so i never played TvC, but if I get a WiiU this is going to be instant buy... Assuming, of course, they didn't remove Megaman from this series as well...
I know I don't own the internet. I was telling you your comment was pointless because people will do whatever they want. In other words, just don't waste your time.
Well where I am at in Colorado I remember a mall had an arcade called Tilt as well and while the arcade is still there the name has changed. But, I do remember it being called Tilt and they even had tokens with the Tilt name on it.
Harder controls does NOT make a better game. You can play a good game with a buttery d-pad and rusty buttons. Much like playing a shitty game with a clean keyboard. Ever since the day someone showed me SFA2 (when I had my PS1), I NEVER understood WHY the button layout was an excessive 6 buttons for attacks. Even till now (with a 360) I still consider that too many attack buttons. But it still functions.
Who's here after DSP said that he was drunk, the game lagged, he couldn't block, his moves couldn't come out, he's younger than you, and claimed that the footage was both yours and his?
HE WAS FIGHTING DSP!?!?!?!?!
*buttons furiously mashing in the background* I WAS BLOCKING!!
He doesn't do that as much anymore.
wineandforgive He does this every once in a while, sure.
But the frequency in which he does it has decreased dramatically.
I'm watching this Video in 2024 To be prepared to play online with the switch version and as a new gen player as well
Same here. This'll be my first time playing this game. Maybe we'll run into each other online
@@shadows_bloodedge_78 Cool!!
Tips for beginners:
Tip 1: Don't be DSP
Tip 2: See Tip 1
Tip 3: Don't combo a Lowtiergod into a DSP.
Tip 4: forget tip 3 just remember tip 1
So many sweet 'n salty memories from this game, with all of the wasted quarters and the numb fingers. It was worth it, and I'm glad they brought this back.

Funny you say this, after 11 years DSP wants a rematch.
0:03 DSPGaming is not gonna be happy when you made him lose
"I can't dash! It drops the inputs!" "He got lucky!"
That's what DSP said
0:21 OMG FUCK THIS I WAS HOLDING BACK THE WHOLE TIME! lmao
He doesn't do that anymore.
Dragonage2ftw BS this is dsp were talking about. He hasent changed a bit, just wait for GGXRD.Then come tell me different.
Doc Failway I'll tell you different right now. Look up DSP's Killer Instinct "Dignified and respectful" matches.
@mrcristofer 2013 It means a lot.
dude Phil was ranked as the 5th best marvel 1 player in the world back in 2001. Hell i heard he's #1 in the leaderboards right now.
Nope. If you can't watch this and see that he's terrible at it I just don't know what to say.
Also remember guys, MvC on PS1 couldn't handle 2 on 2 battles unless it was crossover mode(each player picks 1 character, 2both players get both characters).
So going to Arcades to practice was a good idea.

Damn Max blew up DSP hahaha now I have to go see what DSP is saying during this match.
Wow you beat DSP I fucking hate that guy.
He must have been raging so hard it makes me happy.
I used to play this game at mr gattis buffet when i was a kid! Best arcade game when i was a kid
Holyshit! its Maximilian VS DarksydePhil. And DSP is uploading his online match playthrough on his channel too.
DSP was actually rank 1 on the leaderboards for a while lol
At first I I just saw you played against Darksydephil. I watch his channel also from time to time cause I find him funny. Seeing you beat him in your video, i already know I'm gonna be in for a treat with him complaining about lag in his online playing video ahahaha.
what, Tilt is still here in Valencia, the arcade moved into what used to be the pet store. I think it was due to the new gym that opened up where the Borders use to be.
"WTF MAN IT DROPPED MY INPUTS! Couldn't do anything."
DSP was so childlike it was just discouraging to watch him when I first came across his videos. I'd like to think he's grown up since then, but based on other viewers' comments I'm not sure if this is the case. Well, there are many different kinds of people out there.
I really like these videos Max, really, both my brother and i thank you for doing them, we became a better and bigger threat online thanks to you :D
I kept hearing in my head "Can't do anything. Can't do anything. I countered that. Okay, lag. Still lagging. Oh, okay. Whatever."
"No...that's not how it works." "Nooo, that's not how it works." "NO!" *Rage quit* "That's not how the game works man! You can't do that offline! It only works with shitty, laggy online play. Fucking scrub!"
DSP is ranked #5 on the leaderboards. At one point he was ranked #1.
Good job max, you beat fellow youtuber DarkSydePhil who is fifth in the world for mvc 1
I literally don't get it, Phil is trash at this game....
YOOOO HE ACTUALLY PLAYED DSP BRUHHHH
RIP IN PEACE DSP
Ah the memories of Tilt. Used to go to the one in Sacramento. All the real comp was at Gameroom though. But I loved going to Tilt since the owner and workers were super nice.
part 3 rookie rookie rookie it was great moment for me as kids at the age 13 I never forget it
Back when DSP played the original mvc 1 he was 5th in the world.
I wish I could hear all the smack DSP was talking while this match was going down lmfao when he rants and raves it's hilarious lmfao
Thank you for beating DSP.
Thanks for taking over half the video to talk to us about your past with MvC1 even though we've already heard you talk about it multiple times... >_>
Not to mention that Strider Hiryu is ridiculously great in this, especially online.
@1:30 We had a TILT room, too, where I am in the Philly suburbs. Lots of good times, I miss that place...
DSP Vs Max?
The hypest match
woot! Valencia being mentioned in a video! Santa Clarita valley resident here.
RIP Tilt. I live in that area, it was awesome having a local arcade. Even if there was usually next to no one there.
Tilt appears to have been a chain, I never even knew!
This was more of a history of ur arcade past than mvc tips
I just realized Max played King of WWE Champions in the first couple of matches
Gambit infinite combo is just crazy lol The game is just great and I really want to put my pc games to the side and get right back into console games! Ty max!
DSP put out a ton of matches like 40+. Even though max beat him in this vid tbh he's pretty good he probably won 90% of his matches he played
naw dog. The only thing I can conclude it that no one played that version of the game. DSP is literally bad at it.
The arcade I went to back in the day was called Tilt as well, in Corpus Christi, Tx. Also in a mall. I wonder if they were related. I believe this one is still there.
i came here 8 years from now and started playing mvc1
Max can get up there. He used to do tournaments and was really good. Now he is too busy entertaining us.
Woh, I didn't know Tilt was not just a city specific gaming place. Neato. I loved going to the one in our mall and it was one oft he best things ever. I'd crunch in so many quarters to play MvC, MvC2, Gauntlet Legends, and a couple other games.

Yeah literally TIL my childhood arcade was a chain, lol
Just reading from the comments, I just imagine DSP raging on his end while fighting Max:P
DSP is #5 in world of MvC
Phil probably won't upload the fight because he doesn't want Max to get any exposure on his video :(
This game brings back memories, I was pretty good at this game before. I hope we can play some time max, bring back the nostalgia. :D
Part 1 :ha I remember playing this at a mall too. I think it was called newport mall in hoboken NJ and man there so many people at the time playing MVC. I'll never forget my first time. Some guy that talked down to me saying go back to nintendo kid and that really bother as kid so my friend told me come on I got this game at home for PS and he have stick and it took me about 3 weeks to get the buttons and team i was good at. its awesome watch two ppl im sb to play each other and max blew dsp up and DSP like the 5th best in the world at this game
CAPtain COMmando thanking everyone for playing the game. Very clever.
Tilt still insides in the Valencia mall! It's crazy how you lived in Santa clarita!
holy crap max vs dsp no way 2 awesome fighting game players facing it off
In the same way that you hate some celebrities but have never actually met them in person to see what they are really like? It's that kind of attitude that gets me pissed with people.
You CAN'T hate someone you don't know.
Trust me. You can hate Phil.
yea you unlock them. You can see the last retro assist me video for the "how to" to get them.
Can you make a video how to swap out in Marvel versus Capcom 1 but on a phone I tried to do it make a video like that
Keep up these videos Max! I want to get better but I will need your help!
Wait...I just realized Max's Megaman/C.C. team is basically Team Mascot...
Well played, Max.
Brings back so many memories of how I wasted a lot of my parents money on this game at the pizza shop lol
Also, I was never actually spectacular at the fighting games because I never got really use to the sticks. I mostly played just... to play. I remember getting my butt handed to me several times. Even though occasionally it sucked major balls when I was at Onslaught or Abyss and had to give up the game to some passerby.
I already did, I have lost all hope for humanity. If Max can lose to DSP, that is the start to the end of the world.
GET HYPE! :PogChamp: 3:46-3:59 =O
"You don't complain about Maxamillion buying these games online where's he has a Dreamcast with these games."
I didn't know Playstation1 and the Dreamcast has online multiplayer support.
YES! TILT! That was the best arcade we had in town before that it was a red baron ah the memories
i learned that i have no business playing this game anymore, i have to relearn everything
Wolverine/Spider-Man w/ Magneto is the best combo.
5:18 he is fighting DSP haha
whats dsp and why is it funny
It's all good, I never owned it, but I played it. Compared to any Vs fighting games IMHO this is pretty balanced with a healthy roster. When I get a Wii U i'll buy TvC as first game!
If they scrap Megaman, Zero's still there, I'd settle for Protoman and Bass too =)
Are you still in California? I remember Tilt
There was another tilt in Moreno Valley mall before it was taken over my Round 1
DSPStreetfighter on youtube, he was ranked #1 earlier on the leaderboards.
What was your first fighting game or the one you started to get into the FGC?
you need to be more involved with the FGC, my friend
Max vs DSP battle of the youtubers
ah. I'll keep that in mind.
It's out on XBLA, yes. Actually it just came out today
1:30 Was Tilt a chain? That was the name of my mall arcade in Tallahassee, FL. I mean, it could be a coincidence.
Well where I am at in Colorado I remember a mall had an arcade called Tilt as well and while the arcade is still there the name has changed. But, I do remember it being called Tilt and they even had tokens with the Tilt name on it.
I like chun li old stance better then the new one
Pro Tip: If your opponent is infing you with WM and Wolverine, unplug your console and restart the game.
The video was awesome and game is like music to my ears
He said he played matches online last night which he didn t record. Maybe they played each other then.
I fricken agree with you there! If not Mahvel, Tatsunoko vs Capcom 2 ;D
I'll bet if you go to dspstreetfighter he'll probably be bashing max
but I only have money for one right now, which one to buy first and get the other one later.
no I mean what part of DSP's videos. Like part 1 , part 2, part 3, ect.
Wait....You faced DarksydePhil!? Holy shit! What a coincidence!
Damn, DSP got bodied at the beginning too.
What part did DSP play Max on his channel?
Harder controls does NOT make a better game. You can play a good game with a buttery d-pad and rusty buttons. Much like playing a shitty game with a clean keyboard.
Ever since the day someone showed me SFA2 (when I had my PS1), I NEVER understood WHY the button layout was an excessive 6 buttons for attacks. Even till now (with a 360) I still consider that too many attack buttons. But it still functions.
He didn't upload them because he said it was laggy on Ps3 that's why he played it on Xbox live the second time
nah its either an arcade or dreamcast port. pretty sure arcade but im not one hundred percent sure.
