Marrow is from the X-men comics. She was a Morlock (Mutants who live underground, in the sewers of NY, because their mutations make them look too “unattractive” to live on the surface, and pass as humans) who survived the infamous Mutant Massacre, where Mr. Sinister hired a bunch of bad mutants, sent them into the Morlock camp, and had them slaughter the Morlocks. Side note: Marrow was actually rescued by Gambit who consequently, was hired by Mr. Sinister and lead the bad mutants to the Morlock camp (Don’t worry, Gambit was tricked; He had no clue that the plan was to assault the Morlocks).

These are my most favorite sprites from Capcom up to this day. Well, in terms of art style anyway. The Street Fighter III games are still my most favorite in terms of animation. Hell, much of Capcom's sprite work around the early 2000's has aged like wine.
Dan's Super-taunt does have a weird utility in that your opponent cannot block during its animation- which means you can DHC it to create unblockable hyper combos.

Ruby heart shovering you in a barrel and playing Pop up Pirate on her opponant with real swords is a 10/10 for me. (I know its a reference to the kids game on the fact that:
she only has a 50% chance to hit every time she throws a sword just like in the game it was a random chance to "pop the pirate" every time you put in the swords.)
Very fond memories of playing MVC2 in the arcades on our lunch break. Usually went with Cyclops, Spidey and Iron-Man.
I’m surprised Max hasn’t done a Rate the Super on this game until now.
Probably due to the amount of characters.
I'm surprised he hasn't done cvs2 yet
28:40 The first thing I noticed is how exaggerated the breathing animation is on Cyclops, like the others have it but his chest just gets big as a balloon LMAO
Cable's victory animation gives me so many questions. Like wtf did his arm transform into??
@@r9ue Umm comic book s#$t
I want more mini game supers like Ruby Hearts. Such a fun idea!
I love the slowdown on Shuma, exiting the portal, when KO-ing with Chaos Dimension. 🤘
Fun Fact about Ruby Heart: Her VA also voices Chun-Li in 3rd Strike.
5:08 the spinning blade animates his hair
Rewatching this after the Marvel VS Capcom Fighting Collection announcement and was wondering if they would retain the original aspect ratio or reworked the graphics to fit wider screens.
3:53 I’m not gonna lie. I would give this a ten out of ten purely because of how committed it is to being shitty. It’s literally just a gadoken but with all the flashy background effects.
had to go back to this video after the announcement , so hyped!!
These are my most favorite sprites from Capcom up to this day. Well, in terms of art style anyway. The Street Fighter III games are still my most favorite in terms of animation. Hell, much of Capcom's sprite work around the early 2000's has aged like wine.
All these years and I never knew Guile had an opening gambit type air only super.
I like using Hayato in this game even if people think he sucks. Love those sounds when he swings his sword
As a kid I used to think he was wielding a lightsaber and I would always use him because of it
Max you did not rate Silver Samurai's electric storm super and Sentinel's Overdrive
And all hail Lord Anakaris for getting a 10!!!
Dan's Super-taunt does have a weird utility in that your opponent cannot block during its animation- which means you can DHC it to create unblockable hyper combos.
I really wish Capcom would bring back this game's Sonson for a new game. I thought she was kind of cute.
Sonson is probably a bit too legally murky to use now.
@@pious83 Why? I thought Journey to the West was public domain.
@@marplatense31 The original Sonson wouldn't flag anything due to that. But, with the Oozaru form, MvC SonSon would probably more likely to catch Toei's [legal] attention.
@@pious83 Yeah, I don't know about that. If fighting game devs can get away with Jojo references in their games without any lawsuits, I don't see why Capcom would get in trouble for this.
@@marplatense31 There is a difference between references and a more direct analogue. Sun Wukong didn't change into a Great Ape...
It is quite telling that Capcom haven't re-released the original SonSon game either. I think they would sooner err on the side of caution and not take the risk.
I just realize 35:27 thats Goku black super from fighterz :)
Finally rate the supers on marvel vs capcom 2 let's go
It's mahvel baby
I would love for Capcom to do a re-release of MvC2, not only with rollback netcode but also new characters. That would be so sick.
New characters would be so cool. Hard to pull off but that would be incredible.
0 chance that happens especially adding new characters
@@starbreaker269 0 chance for new characters?; agreed.
0 chance for this getting re-released?; dude you have no idea, wait and see.
I have the feeling it'll happen if talks go the right way.
@@RoboP I wouldn't say 0 chance. There's characters that appeared in older MvC games that didn't show up in MvC2, like Shadow Lady, Anita or Cyber Akuma. If we can have Boneclaw Wolverine, we could have Cyber-Akuma. Adding new characters to old games isn't an uncalled idea, they did that with SFA3 Max.
@@starbreaker269Guess you were wrong
Other RUclipsrs, Broke: Let me tell you about our sponsor today, RAID SHADOW LEGENDS!
Maximillian Dood, Woke: Let me tell you about today’s sponsor, mother fucking Square Enix!
Other RUclipsrs hardly have the following Max has, they get sponsorship where they can. I wish companies would actually consider smaller RUclipsrs
Night Sky Prince had SquareEnix as a sponsor a few times. He's a JRPG/FF guy though. Max is a bit more surprising, though then you remember his FF7R reactions were seen by the company so he's probably on their radar still :)
It's a shame that the game being advertised is basically Nier: Shadow Legends
The money from Raid sponsorship is actually quite large. I have seen smaller RUclipsrs sponsored by them being able to buy sports cars. Ridge Wallet is also another sponsorship who are very generous with their money.
Jeez why does blackhart have so many supers? Today hes so obscure but back then he must have actually been something.
10:52 That’s Vegeta’s technique!!
But how did he learn it...
Huh. Never noticed that Tron's lunch rush hits exactly 41 times, the number of Servbots. Meanwhile Servbots hits 40 times, because he's not in the rush. Neat details.
And we are here again for the news
I play that game Marvel vs. Capcom 2 from PS2 since I bought at GameStop for 10 years. My brother play MVC2 from Dreamcast at friend's house years ago, but I never tried. But I had a Dreamcast, except my controller and two Dreamcast games like Sonic Adventures and Stupid Invaders.
I want Max to rate all the supers in Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Allstars. That would be pretty dope.
Did he watch JoJo? In curious
@@dashsoulsthehornyone9125 He hasn't.
Rating the supers in All-Star Battle and Eyes of Heaven would be cool, though he may not get all of them
@Leith Aziz PAGY it’s implied he’s at least played Heritage to the Future.
@@paperluigi6132 He has heritage to the future online gameplay on the channel.
War Machine's "Here's my Sunday Best!" will always be dope to me.
Rate the Fatalies in SamShoVSpecial. Won't take too long and many are great for a sprite game.
I think he missed a Doctor Doom Super. Where he puts you in an experiment or chair and blows you up?
We're back baby.
MvC4 getting announced at EVO 2025, you heard it here first
Dans raging demon is called otocko michi and its input is hard punch, backwards, low kick, low punch , low punch like a backwards raging demon
I feel like he missed some. Cable has a grenade super right? And the mummy has another one as welll.. also ice man has one where he drops a giant ball out of the sky. I'm confused
Yeah, this guy is *FAR* from a professional player. He's really just messing around while being highly opinionated and over-glorifying it.🙄
Marrow is a mutant a part of the morlocks underground within the X-men series. She was my favorite of the morlocks.
I really want to play this game legally
I don't even know how or can play it illegally imagine me lol
i literally modded a ps3 to play this game
Buy a cab, easy
Same two years i tried getting game
@@KillingMoon_ i used a sega dreamcast emulator, but the dang thing stopped working for no reason
Ruby Heart is basically 'What if John Talbain was a sexy pirate lady'.
We needed "Norimaro" in this game, to just give it that little extra "Oomph".
When I first saw Jin Saotome's animations in MVC, I immediately thought of Kakugo no Susume / Apocalypse Zero.
He reminds me of Katsuki Bakugo cuz of his anger
@@azure8935 Jin Saotome and Bakugo have very different personalities.
Jin follows bushido, influenced by his grandfather to be a traditional Japanese patriot. Although he is hot-blooded and could lose his cool, he remains polite. According to his designer, he is based primarily on Kakugo Hagakure from Kakugo no Susume / Apocalypse Zero, who wears a similar costume but colored black and is masked.
I remember seeing Hyper Megaman as a kid, and I thought that this was the pinnacle of fighting games.
Tip: Spin the stick during Zangief's Atomic busters 😤
I was going down the comments to see if anyone else remembers this
Cammy’s maximum spider is a 10/10 when paused at the right moment
I never got a chance to play this game back in the day. Now that it's coming back? I'm DEFINITELY giving it a look. :)
I love that Son Son's melon super got an Ate/10.
Patrick: Booooooooooooooo!
15:54 Is that a fuckin G Gundam reference!!! Instant 9/10 for me.
I used to play so much Jill and Megaman in this game
I’m from the future friends- Capcom is releasing the MVC ARCADE COLLECTION. THERE YA GO
When you play Zangief, If you continuously spin your joystick while doing the pile-driver, he actually spins faster and do more damage. When you do it during his super, the pile-driver turns him red.
Didn't know that! Thanks!
Same with Spider-Man.
Marrow is from the X-Men. She's a mutant with the ability to pull her bones out of her body (which regenerates afterwards) as weapons and she's the leader of the Murlocks (?) which is pretty much a group of outcast mutants that live underground in the sewers.
I didn't know you can nuke Nemesis at the end. Such a cool Easter egg!
Dood, that's your intro?. That definitely is top tier. 👌
Ah yes the Nier content from Max I’ve been waiting for.
it would be interesting to see him try Automata.
Hayato´s special were his body chances for a moment is a reference to star gladiator 2, plasma sword:revenge of blistein, in that story Hayato was at some point grab by blistein (the villain) at get made a chip a turns the bounty hunter into a cruel fighter only searching to get somewhere, this less a transformation and more a swicth persona.
