    Cool to see ya workin on that saw. Been trying to get paulas up and runnin. Got a 45mm hyway kit and the ring they sent is too big for the cylinder. Gotta order another ring now. Got a clamp built for the intake boot and new muffler studs today. Wont be too long amd i will have it back together! Thanks for showing this!! STAY SAFE!!

    I like torque ported saws they make sweet runners an u can always step up a tooth or 2 on the sprocket to gain some chain speed if needed. Hope ur well buddy stay safe an warm.

    Need some help. Have a Stihl MS250, was cutting with it and the chain stopped moving. The motor did not stall and will still run, but can't get the chain to release. Suggestions on what is wrong????? Could it be the clutch assembly? Thanks Confused.

    • @bellhoppersaws
      @bellhoppersaws  2 года назад +1

      I would start by pulling the clutch cover and see what turns and what dont buddy

      I’ve seen it & had it happen on a few occasions. It’s possibly a few things that I can think of. Bar rails so packed with shmooze that the chain is jammed, or the nose sprocket is stuck/seized, or the bar rails are pinched closed…and that’s only the start of the possible things that I can think of right off. 🤷‍♂️ Just do some investigation and see what do & don’t move as an INDIVIDUAL part.

    Do you have to use a degree wheel to do mild porting or is there such thing as mild porting

    • @bellhoppersaws

      I started by just cleaning the ports and widening them alittle at a time without numbers buddy i just always say less is more

      @@bellhoppersaws that’s really what I want is just a little better performance! Can I mess with the transfer ports at all I have a old poulan wild thing I don’t a muffler mod and I have some extra motors so I’m not as worried about destroying this poulan all that much to do some learning! I definitely don’t wanna start out with any of my huskys or stihls that’s for sure
