Shifter rebuild is a must in every miata, completely transforms they way the car shifts. I did it on mine and it was awesome cannot recommend it enough. New trans fluid helps too.
My car have double carpets, first there is fabric car carpet and top of that there is smaller rubbery tray where you put your feet while driving so all the mud, dirt, sand or snow from your shoes goes to the rubber tray and it won´t ruin the bigger fabric rug underneath and obviously there is fabric upholstery under the rug. But that is really clever car design.
Caleb, I have those moss brackets in my mx-5 and they're great. The side ones don't require the latch though (mine doesn't have them). Just cut a hole in the top of the wall of the interior and the brackets/mounts attach to the metal behind the plastic interior (there should be two holes, I think they're used for the softtop). 👍
You can cut the plastic trim to reveal the bolting holes for the side striker plates. Every miata has the bolt holes. If you remove the plastic trim you will see the faint outline of the oval hole you are supposed to cut - it will match up with the bolt location
The hardtop side brackets will fit, you have threaded holes behind the plastic and you’ll need to trim some plastic. Threads are M8x1.25 and you can use a 16 or 20mm long bolts for them. Just installed some on my 95 the other day
The holes for the side latches are there, the plastic trim is just different. Take off the trim pieces and you will see the holes for the bracket. I just cut a hole in my plastic trim so I could install the side latches 🙂🙂
I rebuilt the shifter on my old na. Machined new parts from aluminium, and it was amazingly sharp after that. Before it was like waving around dead lambs leg. Ps. Typo fixed. :)
Actually, Bronze and Brass are very similar as Brass is an alloy made from Copper and Zinc and Bronze is an allow made from Copper and Tin. Therefore, theyre not the same thing haha. Hope it answered your question :)
I think your interior is nice, no need to replace it a car doesn’t need to be perfect it just needs to be a good car wich it is daily drive it your car doesn’t need to be a showroom race car
You just have to cut the plastics to reveal the threaded holes for the rear fixing points of the hard top. Remove the plastic part, behind there will be an oval shape you have to cut!
are you planning to get a winterbeater for drifting on snow during winter? like getting cheap rwd car and mods like cut knuckles welded diff and cut springs would be cool to watch drifting on snow with cheap car do wall taps then when its done just scrap it

Funny but I never really considered what a car horn even looks like, first time I actually see one lol, so it's basically just a speaker but tuned to the right frequency. It sounded kind of weird stand alone but when it's bolted in I bet it's even louder and clearer.

Hey Gingium, it might be useful to put Molly's battery on meintenance charging during the winter season, just so it doesn't take damage in the long run :)

Personally I can't see the point of a hard top, let alone fitting it permanently... on a convertible. I've got a hard top which came with Mia. It went on last winter for a week until I got sick of the claustrophobia and the noise and then off it came and back into the garden shed. I HATE driving with the roof up it's only up when it rains really hard or I park her on the street. She's been my daily since I drove her back from the UK, so this will be her third winter. As Clarkson said, "wear a hat". Plus the heater's good enough to make your feet melt.

I have those yellow hella horns. One is out of the car and the other is M.I.A. Makes me sad but I did a bad job on the wiring and Wisconsin weather was not kind the the wiring. I have the stock horns in but my wiring abilities are just not good enough to reinstall them. Maybe one day I can meet someone who's good with wiring to help lol. A guy can only dream

You can still put the side hardtop brackets on there's nuts behind the plastic welded in stock just need to drill a hole through the plastic

before installing new engine you should take the whole suspention off and undercoat it to prevent any possibility of rust
do you rotate the tires when it's stored? otherwise you'll get flat spots on them especially soft sticky tires, you could also put it on jackstands.
