  • In this video we take a close look at another highly desirable and virtually impossible to find 1970's premium grade Miroku. One of Japans finest game models that emphasises the incredible capabilities of Mirokus gunmakers.
    This G11 is one of just 1000 Presidential grade shotguns (across all grades) that were produced worldwide back in what really was the heyday of the modern over and under. A model that was very much geared towards British game shooters it bears the hallmarks of a traditional English side by side of the period. Still a very user friendly and capable gun that will last a lifetime.
    Another beautifully made Miroku for you to enjoy here on the ‪@eastfieldgunroom‬ channel

    Hello Matt,
    As you know I have a certain affinity towards the Miroku and this gun is beautiful…….thanks for bringing up the subject of wood densities on the MK38, it’s hard to believe that there could be a difference of up to 10 ounce’s between several examples of the same model.
    In my “bucket list” of shotguns to acquire the MK38 Grade 5 Sporter is at the top…..I will definitely need your expertise in acquiring one when the opportunity presents itself.
    Great review as always, no other gentleman on RUclips displays their expertise as you do!
    Michael

    Another cracking mirouki, why don't mirouki make real high end guns like the president in todays market, I know we all love the mk38 and mk11 etc but the brand is capable of so much more

    Really nice example of the famed Miroku President. In one shot early in the video it showed the barrels stamped at 18.5 and later you said 729inch and 18.4. I was under the impression that all Miroku of that era were proofed in the UK using imperial markings so was this one proofed elsewhere and then imported I wonder.

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  Год назад +1

      Thank you for your comment. Regarding the bores I will have to check this as the gun was certainly proved in the UK. Great spot though. Kind regards, Matthew

      @@eastfieldgunroom no worries, I’m not trying to find fault , love the new channel and the classic OU’s, it’s just the thing with those early Miroku’s having the English proof in inches

    Proof marks on barrel modern day ,not old 1970 s (3 1/4 tons per sq inch} and usually along chamber on barrel just above the fence ? and so does the barrel serial number correspond to the same number as on the action ? inside fore end serial number in wood looks different again ? never seen solid top ribs on any old miroku s , all vent , with old two holed ejectors ?

    • @eastfieldgunroom
      @eastfieldgunroom  Год назад

      Thank you for your comment. Yes the gun has been proofed in the UK but I am not certain why. I can only assume it was during the barrel transformation as per the G13 I reviewed previously. Kind regards, Matthew

    Really enjoying your channel. Have you ever seen the Miroku side by sides? Also maybe you should invite some subscribers to submit pictures and stories of their special shotguns and spend a few minutes discussing them on your videos.

    When you look at what a Miroku has to offer, it's crazy when you see how much people pay to buy a supposed best gun that is nowhere near as mechanically hard

    Perfectly balanced on the hinge pin, wonder what it did before someone stuck the 1” of 3x2 on the end of it. 😂

      Thank you for your comment. The stock was shortened a little in order for the wooden extension to be added. I am not sure if the balance would have been that much different but couldn't say for sure. Kind regards, Matthew
