I use those fire worms on a small trout magnet jig head and lightly bounce them off the bottom like a jig, I do catch a lot of rainbow and brookies.

I noticed they have stopped anyone fishing near the old mill. Can you fish in Patriot Park above the dam? On the banks of the Tangier Mall?
Do you ever use hooks "right out of the package" (like Eagle Claw) or do you always tie a hook onto a leader?
We don't. Maybe they are for someone, but it's not for us.

im 15 and i live in ohio and im going in a week what will i need to buy to be legal i heard you have to get a trout stamp and stuff but i dont know?

We sure wish they did. It would make our filming much easier. Pigeon Forge is one of the most well known, public and visible places on Earth. We - and everyone in town know - they stock the same public locations every two weeks during the stocking season. All of those locations are crowded public parks, bridges or one of the most visited old mills on the planet. If the truck was there for us - the world would see it.
Keep in mind, presentation is everything. If the line you are using is too heavy, if the hook or sinker is too large, if you bobber is set too shallow too deep, success is compromised. We often wait hours for holes to open up in Pigeon Forge so we can film.
On a side note, if you are watching older videos, like the ones from Patriot Park, we caught larger trout because we fished two weeks after a derby, which no longer takes place. Maybe that's why you aren't catching big fish there?
Pigeon forge fishing regs, says using salmon eggs are ilegal, is this correct, plan on being there in a week

That is not correct. You are likely reading regs from Smoky Mountain National Park, where bait is not allowed. Or, in Gatlinburg, during the delayed harvest, when bait isn't allowed. Bait is allowed there starting April 1.
Are these baits allowed now? Not finding it being allowed n the 2023 regulations.

I really wish you guys would fly fish for the trout in our streams. Casting reels almost seems like cheating.
