Your videos keep getting better. I love how you give us a glimpse of each of your personalities. You guys need to get on Netflix or something. This material is gold. I'd like to see a segment showing what you took, what you wish you took, and what was unnecessary weight. I wish there was a full shuttle service, but the downside would be that many more people would be there. Love the music too. Thanks guys. Keep 'em coming----Mike
So after all three episodes I have to say it's a joy to see young guys really connecting with the natural world. I enjoy your enthusiasm and honest approach to your experience. The raw nature of your videos is a great counterpoint to some of the highly polished stuff that I consider worthwhile, and certainly better than the boring, mundane material flooding the net. Keep up the good work and don't compromise.
Good to see young people embrace this life. At 55 I do all I can to encourage young people to put their phones down and live LIFE! Look forward to seeing more fishin!
Jame Coghey I totally agree! I’m 22 years myself, and I have a hard time finding others around me that appreciate the outdoors and fishin like I do. Love seeing guys my age that still appreciate the sport
NOTHING in life compares to a post hike drive thru. Loved this series. Looking to plan a trip down there myself. Shenandoah National Park is 2 miles from my front door but the Smokies have been on the bucket list.
This watershed is a magical place. I have been flyfishing here for 15 years and man there is so much to see. You can never fish it all. Looks like you had a fun trip! I was there right around the same time as yall doing my annual spring trip. I hope you get to fish there again!
Excellent vid guys! About 25 years ago, I was going to fish that creek and when we got to the marina for the shuttle over, there was like 50 guys in the parking lot with back packs and all had fly rods...it was a TU chapter doing their annual Hazel Creek camping trip. I looked at my pal and said, no use going now, we will be stumbling all over each other. So I have never been. Enjoyed the video. Yeah, in episode one I saw the water level and thought, too much water.
Enjoy watching. The Smokies is a place that will humble you. By far my favorite place in the world to fish. But try throwing streamers too. Heavily weighted Wooly Buggers will produce 18+ in trout in the exact places you were fishing. Hazel Creek has some large browns. But many of the larger streams hold big fish. Little River has them that exceed 30in. Give it a go. But remember, this place will humble you. 75% I come across in the park don’t catch anything. So if you get one no matter the size it’s a huge win.
Awesome video series. Because of your videos I used Due South on a guided trip last year which was my wife’s first time every fly fishing. She is now hooked.
Great trip, great story telling. I first did trips like that over 60 years ago and can tell you honestly, you never forget them or the guys you shared them with. I'm still climbing and mountaineering, fly fishing and canoe tripping in my 70s and it never gets old. Keep on getting after it- it makes for a great life!
Thanks for sharing! Epic trip, fishing and camping with good friends, in a beautiful place on this earth. In the end all we have left are our memories, what an awesome memory to have.
They're typically pretty small, but I love catching those rainbows in the Smokies! They're so beautiful. It looks like that was a great trip for y'all. I have two boys and I intend on taking them on a trip like this soon. Thanks for taking the effort to document your trip. I enjoyed watching.
Man 5 minutes into this series I knew I'd love it. Got a good group of friends and beautiful scenery. Jealous man. Glad I found your channel, let's see some more back country!
4 friends & I are about to go do this at the end of the month for 3 nights. Pretty damn stoked!!! Thanks for showing all the highs & lows, they’ll all definitely help us mentally & physically prepare, ha!!
Enjoyed this video a lot, reminds me of some trips I took in my younger days. The tough trips like this one make you appreciate the fair weather trips. Tight lines fellas...
Great filming great edit man. I've done the backpacking/fishing thing too with snowy weather....but adding in rain? Kudos to you fellas. It is draining, I get it....and totally understand a stale cold donut tasting mad delicious. 🤣🤙
Great series, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Those were some super tough conditions but you guys came through it with smiles and I know y'all learned a ton about backcountry hiking and fishing trips. I really look forward to following along with you guys on your next hike and fish video!
Great video guys. Really enjoyed seeing your camp setup. Great job on the tarps and having fun in tough weather. We’ve all been there and wouldn’t have wanted to be anywhere else. 👍👊
BugEyes330 thanks man! Our big thing the whole time was keeping moral high and making the best of it. Can’t control the weather but we still had a blast
Great way to end the series man, I loved this adventure. It’s too bad you guys got screwed with the weather, but you guys made the best of it. Keep killing it man!
I’ve fished and guided on Hazel for a few years now and it’s always tough fishing. Looks like y’all went up to BV and it gets a little better, but I think that place is fished out by people and otters. Tough fishing but great video!
Dude what a experience that mustve been. Looked like one hell of a trip with that weather but everything else looked like it was perfect man. I bet you guys will talk about this for the rest of your lives. By the way as usual awesome content keep it coming Scotty
Great way to spend Spring break it sounds, maybe the weather could have got the memo.Your short films are amazing,I really enjoy filming and making videos that way I can look back at what I do.I would really like to up my game any editing tips? Also what sort or editing program is worth while?thanks so much for what you do.
You guys inspired me to go out to the local mountain and start hiking and fishing the brook. Nearly had a little brook trout but it eventually lost interest. Definetly thinking about getting into fly fishing
Watched part two again and saw the Browns. The content and quality of your videos is some of the best on YT. I still think about the colors on that smallmouth you caught last year (amazing fish). I'm in Johnson City and mainly fish for Brook trout. Nothing like crawling through rhododendrons to fish a creek that's less than a foot wide in places.
Im always checking out your content, such a good library to go back through! Great to see the growth you’ve had! Super inspiring to stick with it! Love the story telling and all the friends you get involved 👍🏼 Do you use a specific service for the music tracks? Cheers bro!
Great videos guy's I started fly fishing when I was 12 and loved it. I'm 43 now and as I grew older my interests changed and I ended up getting into tournament bass fishing. A few years ago when I was driving home from a tournament upset that I didn't do well, I realized my love of fishing had been overtaken by my competitive drive, I had forgotten why I loved to fish. I sold my bass boat and bought another fly fishing outfit. Last year I built a camp in Pittsburg New Hampshire and I intend to put that outfit to good use. I was wondering if you guy's would add some info to your videos to help out us noobs? What you are using on that particular day and river and how you came to that conclusion, things of that nature. I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by how much there is to learn again and some basics would be great (not another "how to" video) but just some info on your rigs, etc. Please keep up the good work!!
Absolutely Shawn, we have plans this summer to share with you guys more information on our set ups, how we fish certain streams and why we do it. Be sure to follow along this summer and hopefully we can help you learn a thing or two!
Really makes you wonder where that 25" brown is that was in a picture in the first video. Hard to believe it lives in that creek with the average size being so small.
Loved the videos guys. Not sure what you have planned this summer, but if you're interested in meeting up with some other backcountry fly guys for a trip like west virginia or the allegheny national forest in Pennsylvania, let me know. Love meeting new people that share this passion for trout and wild places! Ps: Join Trout Unlimited and BHA!

Dude I watch this video because it is exactly like my hazel experience. Same month, same weather, same damn campsite. Good times.
NOTHING in life compares to a post hike drive thru. Loved this series. Looking to plan a trip down there myself. Shenandoah National Park is 2 miles from my front door but the Smokies have been on the bucket list.
Those rainy days will be some of the best memories of your lives! Thanks for sharing and for all the extra work to get it on film.

Good music, good cameral work, just the right amount of content. Hazel is a special place.

Love this channel! Brings out the inner fly fisherman
Looks like a great trip. They may suck in some ways but you'll always remember them.
Weather was not too friendly but it made the whole trip more memorable!

Amen to that!
Priceless memories!

Most native trout in any brooks are small but they still fight hard and are fun to catch.
Looks like an impromptu steelhead trip... Thanks for the video guys, great work.
- Cheers and tight lines
Man 5 minutes into this series I knew I'd love it. Got a good group of friends and beautiful scenery. Jealous man. Glad I found your channel, let's see some more back country!
Watching this and being in warm bed feels fucking good 😂
4 friends & I are about to go do this at the end of the month for 3 nights. Pretty damn stoked!!! Thanks for showing all the highs & lows, they’ll all definitely help us mentally & physically prepare, ha!!
good luck to you guys!
So cool guys, pity it's over. It's all about the company you keep. Looking forward to your next adventure!
Enjoyed this video a lot, reminds me of some trips I took in my younger days. The tough trips like this one make you appreciate the fair weather trips. Tight lines fellas...
Love when a trout has parr marks down their sides
can't beat it!
I was just in Bryson last week, Noticed the Hardies in the film. that is a great area.
An experience you guys will remember for a long time. Thanks for taking us along. 👍🏼
Wonderful trip! Thank you guys so much for taking us along!
Great filming great edit man. I've done the backpacking/fishing thing too with snowy weather....but adding in rain? Kudos to you fellas. It is draining, I get it....and totally understand a stale cold donut tasting mad delicious. 🤣🤙

These were really awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Loved the video and music
Thanks guys! Happy you enjoyed it.
Great way to end the series man, I loved this adventure. It’s too bad you guys got screwed with the weather, but you guys made the best of it. Keep killing it man!
Mother Nature is always in control but the weather always make the stories great!
Awesome short series, well done gentlemen!
I’ve fished and guided on Hazel for a few years now and it’s always tough fishing. Looks like y’all went up to BV and it gets a little better, but I think that place is fished out by people and otters. Tough fishing but great video!

It was quite the experience man!
Awesome video series! I hope to do a hike in fishing trip sometime. Those were some beautiful wild rainbows.👍
I was fishing on another part of the park at this time. Lots of BWOs on the little river.
Great music choice love ona
Thanks man! We've been loving their tunes, great guys too.
Rocking that same hardy setup I bought from due south this summer
It's a killer set up, can't go wrong for the price!

@@nantahalawildman6345 yeah depends were you go
Great series. Keep it up
Awesome series man!! Looked like a blast, we’ve been wanting to do something similar ourselves.
Gotta make it happen dudes!
Great series and kudos for enduring the conditions. Any Brook or Brown trout in Hazel Creek? Wild Rainbows were beautiful.
Thanks guys! We caught a few browns and brookies are in there but you have to hike a little farther up from where we were.
Watched part two again and saw the Browns. The content and quality of your videos is some of the best on YT. I still think about the colors on that smallmouth you caught last year (amazing fish). Tight 🤘
Great video! Are you guys ever going to make it back up to Maine/New Hampshire? Would love to see another series up there!
Not sure Adam, we'll have to see how the summer plays out.

I never saw where you mentioned what type of fly you used. Was wandering about the types of food in backcountry? And how did you pick that fly?
Some tough conditions..but you all pushed through. Thanks for your hard work on this project. Were you able to fish Hazel much or mainly feeders?
Thanks Guys! We fished hazel a little bit but it was so blown out that we had to stick to the smaller tributaries that fed into hazel.
You folks never keep a few and eat them? There is a small limit here in Vermont so we can enjoy a good fresh trout or two :)
cool trip and awesome footage!
hard core
Really makes you wonder where that 25" brown is that was in a picture in the first video. Hard to believe it lives in that creek with the average size being so small.
Hazel has giants we just couldn’t fish the main stem of the river (where they are) as much due to the water being so high.
What camera and lens did you film this with? It's great!
I wonder if the fish are so small because the river is rarely fished causing them to over-populate.
How many FPS do you shoot if you dot mind me asking? Seems like half the shots are in slowmo.
Loved the videos guys. Not sure what you have planned this summer, but if you're interested in meeting up with some other backcountry fly guys for a trip like west virginia or the allegheny national forest in Pennsylvania, let me know. No Brook Trout?
Unfortunately we did not get into any. I'm pretty sure we needed to be a little higher up on the stream to get into the brookies.
Dot kettle is coleman?
What kind of boots are those at 3:10??
Redington prowlers
i love ur videos but scared of a boar? lol
Why don't yall lock y'all's ratchets into place?
