Eli Walloch was such an amazing actor. He’s so good in the Good the Bad and the Ugly
What a GREAT time to be Alive. I am old Now but I again So Happy I was Around to see the Fantastic Entertainment we had.
It makes me sad every time we lose one. It hurts my heart.
Eli Wallach was a Great Actor and Human Being
Bravo
Such a great and talented actor Eli was.
He'll always be Tuco to me. One of the greatest movies ever made..probably seen it 20 times.
Same
@@danam0228 yes ditto.. love Eli.. and Good bad and Ugly .. no one can act like that.. hes the best..
And Eli stole the show really, without him it's just a good western but his timing and humor put it over the top, Tuco was the lead actor and had the most air time and should of received an Oscar for his performance in that film IMO.
I remember taping from TV on to VHS.
Agreed, right up there with "Once upon a time in the west"
So enjoyed this interview. You rarely get to know these characters you admire so greatly. Loved him in "The good, The Bad, and The Ugly".
He’s just marvelous. 🥰 Always liked him and his work.
Good bad n ugly was elevated significantly because of his performance. Absolutely incredible
Eli Wallach was great in everything
Always loved Eli especially in The Magnificent Seven and The Good, The Bad And The Ugly. One gentleman I’d love to have been able to sit down with for dinner and just listen to him talk!
Loved Eli Wallach in the Magnificent Seven! He played such a great villain!
This was absolutely wonderful and absolutely in my judgement funny haha. 💛🙏
I love his character Tuco in The Good, the Bad and the Ugly...
He was truly great in that role. Wasn't a bit Spanish, but convinced me he was.
Outstanding performance! Just amazing. #RIPEliWallach
Loved him in Misfits. Wonderful man, actor, and told some interesting and funny stories.🤗
Even when he smiles you know that's Tuco :P
Eli and Carson.
Both Incrediblely, Massively Talented Class Acts. Both Sorely Missed; though their Legacy Lives On.🧸🎨🎭
Great tie, Eli. One is so privileged when they've seen any performances by Eli Wallach & Anne Jackson. Their daughter, Roberta, was in "The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds" with Joanne Woodward, Nell Newman, produced & directed by Paul Newman. Sterling work always done by all of these folks. Theater or film: they were fine.
✨Their Daughter Roberta Was Also in The Cult Classic, “The Hollywood Knights”❗️ HILARIOUS ❗️✨😂 🫶🏼✨
One of the master craftsman that ever appeared in any stage play or motion picture...
You can tell that Johnny really respects him.
True, Eli had the opportunity to play off and with the best Hollywood had to offer. The portrayal of human condition in film is a noble profession. Some pick up on that, as your self noticed, keen observation.
Right on. I picked up on that too. Johnny actually seems nervous at first.
Great to see Eli at that age - ten years after "The Good, the bad, and the Ugly."
Eli Wallach is one of the greatest actors of all time. In the movie “the good, the bad, and the ugly” the character he played was so convincing that I thought he was Hispanic. Then I saw him on Carson and I couldn’t believe my ears! Definitely one of the most underrated actors.
You're thinking of 'The Magnificent 7'
@@yankee2666 no, I’m positive about the movie. It’s one of my favorites. The magnificent seven was a great movie too. The original.
@@yankee2666 He had an hispanic name in the Good bad and the Ugly Tuco Remiraz.. or something like that..
Tuco Ramírez.
I also thought he was Hispanic after watching that movie for years, before the internet 😂
If you save your breath , I feel a man like you can make it. The Good , the bad and the ugly. Unforgettable for me since the late 70's. Tuco Ramirez.
The great “Tuco”. Blondieeee!
I loved Eli. Everything I saw him n was tip top.
Eli Wallach was unforgettable in at least 1 Clint Eastwood western. What was not obvious is that he was such a good actor, since he played such an unsavory fellow.
Yes,he was in the original "Man with no Name Trilogy with Clint Eastwood.Eli had a cameo in the Eastwood directed "Mystic River"
@@robertschuster6922 He used to call Clint Eastwood "blondie".
Time is a monster we cannot see
Tuco got a nice suit, he cleaned up well .
His character portrayal of Tuco in the good bad and the ugly was worthy of an Oscar. 3:41
yes he is Oscar qualified.... no one would grunt like that with a rope around there neck... very real..
Great character actor. One of the best.
Eli played some of the the best villains in cinema. Tuco , Calvera, or some greedy banker, crook, or lust struck legendary!
Now that I'm old, and have plenty of time to watch TV. I'm setting here watching things 50 years old, because there is nothing on today I care about at all. LOL Man, I miss good TV !
I Second That! 👍😉
Dyyyyaahmm he acts so normal with Johnny .. Such a great person also.. OOh i wish i could have met him.. I miss my Tuco.. the best of the Best.. Blondeee.. you know what you are... you just another son of a ayayhhh yah...
An actor's actor. Loved him as Tuco. In that part he was one of the best bad guys in movie history.
How bad could he have been if he made all of us fall in love with him? 😂😂
@@bob5074 He was just good enough to be likable, like when he visited his priest brother. Compared to Angel Eyes, Tuco was a good guy!
@@grandeur9581 Im 56. I think that’s a directors cut clip. I didn’t start seeing that in the movie until the ‘90s. That scene has a different vibe than the rest of the movie as well.
Baby Doll was a great turn.
As a child I remember "This is Irv Weinstein with the 11 0'clock News... do you know where your children are?" and I would look at Dad and say Goodnight... As I packed up any toys or just started off to brush teeth - I can always remember hearing the Tonight Show theme, or Ed McMahan's intro... Depending on the day, sometimes I got to stay up and actually watch a bit before my Father would carry my sleeping carcass upstairs to bed... Yesterday's Actors & entertainment were .50 cal compared to today's .22 cal Industry... Respect
The third and final Mr Freeze in Batman66.
Tuco...the man at the end of the rope wants more
...you'd better not miss
❤🎉 MuchLove Loves!!!❤🎉 Lol ✔ 😆 🤣 😂 😹 ❤🎉ThankYOU ❤🎉
How could it be his only appearance? Carson says I know it's been awhile since you've been here......I dunno..
Only appearance WITH Johnny??? Maybe emphasize that he’s been with guest hosts idk
I think there are some episodes that were lost. Maybe it was one of them. I dunno, just read that somewhere.
Been awhile since you’ve been here…(in New York, perhaps)
Ok. I see.
To me you will always be Tuco Ramirez, brother of Brother Ramirez!!
His performance in Mag 7 was one of the great villains ever. So believable as a narcissistic psychopath who sees himself as the victim. Tuco as well.
For me, Eli Wallach will always be Tuco
See a lot of Jackie Bissette . Oh I'd die there.
❤
The Magnificent 7 and Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Eli Wallach told Henry Fonda, please meet director, Sergio Leone. He knows you are a great actor will give you best part of movie. Henry Fonda as the bad guy in Once Upon A Time In The West.
IMDb has him in 172 different Film/TV roles and appearances as a character or himself beginning in 1951.
It does not list The Tonight Show. 🤔
I've been an IMDB subscriber for many years. It's a great resource, but IMDB has many errors and omissions.
Hey Blondie!
"When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk."
There are two kinds of spurs, my friend..
There are two kinds of people in this world. Those with guns and those who dig. You dig!
@@MillwallOlly He said he adlibbed that line.
'Youuu knowww what youuu aaare?
...
Juuust aaa dirty...
HAA-HAW-HAW !!!'
😍😍😍😍😍😍
I wonder what they deleted when he was talking about playing a homosexual character
I was thinking the same thing. Why delete history
I need to watch the movie "Once Upon A Time In The West" again
He wasnt in that western...was he??
It was The Good, The Bad and The Ugly (he was The Ugly - 'Tuco') with Clint Eastwood (The Good - 'Blondie') and Van Cleef (The Bad).
One of the greatest Spaghetti Westerns directed by Italians.
That's my 2nd best western movie. Good and the Bad is 1st.
@@refealibazeta7886 This reaffirms My thoughts on these two GREAT movies.
Can anyone tell me what episode it was that he asked about liking girls and his guest said young ones! Johnny was like you can’t say that’s 1977 is the year I think it was!
Why is there a glitch in the clip???
Yeah yeah i'am Lincoln's grandfather
RUclips is putting TOE FUNGUS ads on Johnny Carson videos, which is the lowest kind of ad there is. Disgusting. It is associated with low class sites.
Whatever company is making those commercials has made dozens of disgusting ads. I wish you tube would ban them.
opera browser has great ad blockers.
Tuco!
Did you ever watch baby doll with Eli wallach Karl Malden and Carol Baker
Baseball ⚾️ HOF Lou Brock on the couch.⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️⚾️
Thank you for clarifying it for me, I sincerely thought it was Lou Rawls.
That’s who that is! 😃
The good, the bad, and THE UGLY....? Eli was anything but ugly, and really took it on the nose in that role. He even almost got whacked on the head by the shovel Van Cleef threw at him when his character was being forced to dig up the grave. Go watch it. Great man.
We noticed that right off, my son and I laughed at that part saying it was actually a really close throw to his head and probably a little too close for comfort but I'm glad the left it in, it definitely added to the real feel of that " You're not digging" as Angel Eyes cocks the gun at Blondie, scene.
Anyone who double crosses me and thinks he will live, he knows nothing of Tuco, nothing.
That’s a great line
@@dannyweier2024 "When you gotta shoot, shoot, don't talk"!
Who else is here to see what the evil toaster sounds like?
His voice kind of makes him sound British, but I know he isnt. Weird.
I Am The Devil
I couldn't follow what was going on here at all. Was there supposed to be something humorous here?
He's not very interesting and a bit pretentious when speaking, a tad of that hollywood elitism oozing out. The audience weren't impressed. There's no doubt of the reason why he was never asked back. Nothing against the guy, he had a couple of good performances.
no humor in this one.. Johnny Respects Eli so much.. NO JOKING
You aren't too bright.
Putting cliches aside, why don’t I find J Carson funny at all? Would he have a chance on TV if he was alive today?
You want to be entertained without having to think
Tuko! The great!
