- Hello everyone! Today I will be sharing with you how to make textured palm tree piece. This is something that I have wanted to do for quite some time so I'm super excited to have tried it and to share it with you. I have learned lot and will be sharing with you some more info in some upcoming videos of what I learned and what I would do differently. I just have to say...this was such an enjoyable project to work on and I'm really looking forward to combining these techniques in the future again.
BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! FAE is back next May 23-25, 2024 in ASHVILLE, NC. I will be teaching 6 classes so you have a variety of opportunities to have me to guide you in these techniques. This is beautiful. I did something similar but with a mixture of gesso and gell. Got to try the wall plaster. I am working very hard to see you in NC.
I have been experimenting with all sorts of stuff! The wall plaster is definitely the most cost effective! I really hope you can get up to see us in NC! I would love to spend more time with you! ❤️☺️🙏🏻

How wonderful, Tara! One that you are teaching again, and two that you are teaching this new class on texture/structure! There are so many possibilities... it's very exciting! I think any and all mixed media is ready made for fluid art. I love your palm fronds! Really, the whole piece is cool! It gives off a boho chic beach house vibe. There are 😊 many possibilities just exploring a beach theme. I hope you do more of anything with texture and structure. It really gets me excited to try new things. I love your pieces with your incredible peacock pearls and the wavey structure because of the contrast. I look forward to trying that out soon. A quick question... what respirator do you use? I need to get one so I can play with alcohol ink. The problem is that there are so many to choose from, and I have no clue what I really need. Super good news and a great video as usual, Tara!😊🍁🍂🍁🍂🍁

As far as my respirator…. 3M respirator I got from Home Depot. It’s pretty generic I think. I will try and show it in my next video. ❤️☺️🙏🏻
