  • GIGABYTE's B650E AORUS Elite X AX ICE is a mouthful of a name, but the board is fantastic for the price. At just $280 or R5,800 at Wootware, it doesn't get much better at this price point. It looks phenomenal, has some great features and handles DRAM OC with ease. For entry level to mid range boards, few offer as much as this one.

@TheOverclocker Magazine Does that mean that I don't have to downclock my 6400mhz CL32 32TZ5RK RGB Trident Z5 XMP ready on this motherboard with 7900x or 7800x3d?

    • @TheOverclockerMagazine

Yeah there's no need. Ran 1:1 for me with no issues at all. That is about the limit though, 6800+ would be too much, but most certainly UCLK/MCLK @ 3200 should work just fine.

@TheOverclockerMagazine I was able to figure out what the light was on the motherboard. It was the vga led light that was turning on. Apparently the computer was not detecting anything on the vga port amd that's why the light was turning on. I don't use the vga port because my monitor is connected to my graphics card. But the light was annoying me. So I disable vga port through the bios. And now there's no more light. I was Hoping someone spoke about those lights more in depth but I couldn't find anything about them. But thanks for responding.

Would you mind providing a quick video tutorial on DDR5 overclocking (OC) on AM5? I just ordered this board, but all the information about the 6400 MHz "sweet spot" on the internet is discouraging me. Your video gave me hope that I can put my RAM to good use.

Would love to however I'm traveling soon, so won't get around to it dot a while. This board actually makes it super simple. If you have 6400 Dimms just load XMP and on the BIOS select UCLK=MCLK. Usually need to change nothing else or at least I didn't need to change anything else. You should if you don't mind take a look @skatterbench tutorials here on RUclips. He goes through it step by step.
