Would a 12900 K be OK for a 3090 TI I’m running a 5800X at the moment which is holding me back.
I have my other 5800 3-D which needs to be sold and I have a good motherboard for that so it would basically be a trade because I’d get the same money for both
Yes a 12900K with decent memory will completely utilise a 3090 Ti, a 12900K will even push a 4090 to the max in almost all game titles.
@@micb3rd appreciated, I think the DDR4 is really holding that card back. Not that I’m pushing it hard but simply changing back to the 5800X and doing minor bios tweaks the 3090 Ti boosts a bit higher now cause of the higher clock speed on the CPU. With the 5800X3D who cares about the higher L3 cache when they handicapped it slowing down the clock speed with it never being able to hit the advertised 4.5Ghz boost without doing a -30 in PBO even with it running at 50-55c.
Dunno how AMD thinks they had the best gaming cpu when the most important part is single core performance on a “gaming cpu”
I run 8K MT on my ASUS ROG STRIX X670E, 7950 x3d, MSI rtx 4090 SUPRIM, with G.Skill 24GB all day no problem. Memory restore off boots quickly.
Any news about evga z790 kingpin bios update 😢
I told everyone to get rid of their EVGA products more than a year ago
@@FrameChasers omg , so what should i do , evga not released any bios updates for intel 14th 🥹🥹
amazing. great content. very impressed. gigabyte really pulled a rabbit out of their ass cheeks with this one. up until now i thought asrock was going to keep the crown for the 4 dimms but gigabyte really has the knockout blow with this one, the killer being only $249. 249 and you get 7800 as long as you have decent IMC, what a steal. Jufes always finds the Gems that render the rest of the market obsolete. i remember when he proved a 13600k with some good DDR4 B-die rendered the entire AM5 platform obsolete. crazy
The Elite Pro features
Ok people i don't know anything about PC's but im gonna build a monster PC (with help). Now i know im gonna get a 4090 from Asus and Intel i7 BUT im stuck at choosing an motherboard Z790 ATX. First i wanted the Asus Dark Hero because everyone was saying its the best on the market and it looks crazy but now i hear that there are alot of unhappy customers and even that the motherboard going up in flames. I want to play the heaviest games on the highest settings without troubles which motherboard do you guys recommend??? Again i don't know nothing about it im a console gamer.

When is quad channel becoming mainstream???
The Elite Pro Dark Extreme
Jufes bro it says single stick of ram they run on 8266 look better :)
Gigabyte boards are always surprising. It's what's their best at. I like how he's always surprised about Gigabyte boards. If you forget gpus and psus gigabyte is a greater board supply.
Daymn! This cheapo gigabyte even has a vr vout sensor built it. It already has a seal of approval from bz, I really wish it had a post code. Still a perfect mobo though.
Amazing valuable content as always!
Wait a sec, we dont review 4 dimm motherboards for max 4 dimm stability?😅
This is by no means the best motherboard in 2024, the best ones are the Asus Rog Maximus Z790 Hero / Dark Hero. And this is followed by the Asus Rog Strix Z790 e gaming wifi ii Gigabyte is a mid-range motherboard 😃

When will these companies realize that naming something Nova is not great for the Spanish-speaking market since it means “no go”.
guyyyyys pleeasseee someone explain what is fafo 😭😭😭😭😭😭
F*** around and find out
I love you ❤
Big W for Gigabyte
great video
I’m here for algo fuel and cats 🐈
cute kitty
My man
lol that means you probably going to try to push it higher then 8200 😁
Frame Chasers: Yo from Sweden, love your content. Since im a noob though; The link in your description on the MB takes me to a Gigabyte Aorus Elite X Wifi7 not the X AX but maybe it’s more or less the same MB? (Maybe a bit retarded)
Good kitty
Meanwhile, my 14900K and z790 apex encore cant post XMP on my 8000 mhz 48 gb gskill kit lol. Must have a shit MC
@@kramnull8962 Unfortunately, I don't even get XMP out of them with my CPU. I believe my limiting factor is how well my memory controller plays with stock XMP voltages. Porblem is (mine in particular) 4090 has really weird display issues after I have to CMOS reset and doesn't work with my monitor and I have to connect it to my old Sony Bravia to get display. Makes FAFO a pain in the ass.
You hear it in video that this particular CPU in the test can do 8200 on other setups.
I get 7600 solid on a Strix-e wifi about to try team group 7800 see if I can get 8000 let you know if it happens
Validate with 24 hours of karhu
@@FrameChasersyour comment is funny after watching your video from CES of RAM overclocking
Do what you want, but that’s how we validate in our community
8200mt/s cpu is not that good, i have seen 8400 and 8600mt/s memtest stable screenshots
Less than 20% 14900s can do that. Mine does 8500 but it is also 110 sp what would put it as a golden samole since he average is 97 or so. The best known 14900 is 122 sp binned by asus and can post 9000+ but that is a almost one of a kind. So 8200 is on the 20 upper percentile
@@Solrac-Siulare you talking about MC Sp or ? Because i havent seen any above 91, and the 100+ ones are from boards that havent been updated with BIOS
Memtest stable is easy, has to be 24 hours of karhu or I don’t care
@@FrameChasers facts. Karhu is the only program that has caught errors that others didnt. For me.
@@FrameChasers yes it is stable on karhu for more than 24 hours., but you have to keep in mind that mine was not a cpu purchased from a retail store, it was already binned and it did cost me more than the usual price . The mc that someone was asking is 89
Okay third comment for the algorithms….. but this board surprised the F out of me!
Hell yeah
Goat
didnt watch the video till now.....i am not a brand fanboy...BUT I never buy something else from Gigabyte......after tons of hardware they fucked me hard for the first RMA.....so hard........hard to believe / Everybody talks about Support of EK and Asus.......I swear, Gigabyte is the true devil.....have no time&money to sue them
never cpu use 8000mhz
Meanwhile I'm over here with my Aorus Master and 14900k that cant even go above 7000 😑
Thanks for the garbage quality IMC Intel
