Got this the other day in b650m, expensive for being white / grey but man is it stunning in person, the build quality is good too. Let’s hope mine doesn’t have coil whine! EDIT* (whoever has the b650m version, does it have a g-connector) mine didn’t …
The board looks pretty but they Charge Way To Much just because it's white. Made to cheap for the price as they lowered the PCB layers to 6 Layer instead of 8 and downgraded the audio to 15 year old ALC897 audio. Even the Aorus B650 Elite AX has 8 Layer PCB for $199.00 and the Aorus B650 Pro Ax and GIGABYTE B650 AERO G has 8 Layer and ALC1220 audio $249.00. All 3 of the boards even have Higher Power Stages so I would say the B650E is only worth $189.00. The only board worth buying IF They Lower The Price is the X670E AORUS PRO X and if the regular Pro AX is $249 then It should be $229 as it has Lower Grade Audio and Lower power Stages 70 amp SPS Vs. 90Amp SPS.
Such a lovely board, reminds me of their Aero D but with a white PCB. Just asking, mates. Would y'all be doing an overview (or perhaps, a review) on the new ASRock Z790 lineups? Would love to see your thoughts on the boards.
My guess regarding the black parts you mentioned is that it's difficult to fabricate those parts in a white plastic that won't yellow over time. So they played it safe and went with black.
Love the color but hate the way they reduce their quality as they make them newer. 6-Layer PCB instead of the 8-Layer on the B650 Elite AX along with 60amp DR mos, instead of 70 amp Smart power stages and still using the ALC 897 codec audio from 15 years ago. B650 Aorus lite AX $199.99 with higher build quality Vs B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE $229.99 with low build quality in the Layers of PCB and power stages all for more money.
I really like the look of it. I have the AsRock X670E Taichi Carrara and am tempted to switch purely for the aesthetics LOL as it is even more 'white'. Ahhhhh
What type of audio codecs does it have? and which is better among the Asus strix b650e-f o Gigabyte B650E AORUS ELITE X AX ICE???? aid?? Who has the best audio codec?
I have B650e aorus original black edition, and only thing I can complain about (and most people dont even realize) is that if you are using two pcie 5.0 m2 slots your pciex16 gpu 5.0 slot will halve number of lanes and you will end up with gpu running on 8x lanes...dont know if this is the issue in this white adition as well...just check this before buying
That Issue is for all motherboards Technically not the motherboard fault is the cpus That limits ur pcie lanes Amd give u 24 pcie lane n the chips set give u another 8 Still more than intel If u need more u need.to go with a with a threadripper
@@NeVErseeNMeLikEDis yeah I know its a limitation of lanes, but what will happen If I use only m2 gen 4 not gen 5 ssds. I think it will cut your gpu pcie lanes down to 8 anyhow no matter what type of ssds you are using...
Why do Board Makers make the White boards at the end of run, then make them cheaper and Charge More For Them. Gigabyte even Stated that the 8 layer PCB gives you better signaling, Lower signal loss and Heat dissipation. So Why put 8 layer on there $200+ boards but not on the New White Boards.
Looking for a motherboard for my AMD Ryzen 7 8700x3d. Future-proofing is important, but I don't need PCIe 5.0 support for the next 5 years. Budget is under 300 Euros. RAM will be 32GB 6000 cl30 with AMD Expo. Currently have an RTX3070, will upgrade in the future. Considering B650 vs. X670E boards, leaning towards B650 but open to suggestions. Usage is 70% gaming, 30% moderate video editing. Need support for 4 M.2 SSDs and up to 4 SATA SSDs without sacrificing ports or performance, while using multiple drives at the same time. White build compatible preferred. WLAN and Bluetooth not necessary but a nice bonus. Currently eyeing: GIGABYTE B650E AORUS Elite X AX ICE, ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi, MSI X670E Gaming Plus WIFI, GIGABYTE X670E AORUS Pro X. Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks.
I just bought one of these for my 7000x RGB, I got a rev 1.0 issue and the wifi drivers just dont work and Im not the only person who had this issue (not much of an issue for me as it will be hard wired).
Is it still possible to install the top m2 with a big air cooler/heat sink in place or does that need to be done first? Installing a phantom spirit 120 on this board.
Gigabyte is always my favorite looking hardware for anything they put out. I've always loved their motherboards and GPUs. They have a nice aesthetic without going overboard or making it look like a gamer nerd toy, which I think is something ROG ends up doing far too often.
Im running Ryzen 7 3700X.. Got myself a new AIO cooler and now im looking for AM5 motherboard to be ready for the new Ryzen CPUs. I just dont see many differences between this one and the regular ICE version. The sellers are litteraly putting up the exact same specs on the sites where i live with one being like 50 dollars cheaper. What does the X bring we already dont have?
Does the USB-C DP port on the back output displayport when using a Ryzen 7000 CPU with integrated graphics? Or does the DP alt mode only work with the Ryzen 8000 series APUs?
I just got this motherboard and upgraded my cpu. First couldn’t get WiFi on there but the store chat said I needed the WLAN driver but do I need the LAN? It showed I was connected to WiFi but no internet at all. Only with Ethernet cord and I can’t really do that. Is it wrong driver or network settings? I’ve seen network videos for changing stuff that I’m about to check. Also, I’m new to PC world but would I want to install other drivers then? Like audio, chipset, BIOS? Do those help/ do anything? I didn’t do this before cause they built it for me but wondering if I’m missing some essentials now
I got mine at microcenter. The pin slot for the cpu had bent pins. I don’t know if this might be a cause of my bios going into a bios loop. If anyone knows, please let me know. I already replaced my dram and it still gave the bios loop.
Bad idea doing business with Gigabyte. They're as bad as Asus if you try to contact them about a problem. Be nice if an American company started building mother boards. Fat chance!

Copping this for my new 7800X3D. Can't wait.
How did it go bro
Nice looking board. Also like their "new" X670 white model. Keep up the great work you guys and stay safe.❤
Wow PC channel actually showing off specific hardware. Refreshing
Would love for you to review the Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX ICE.
I'm planning on getting that one.
That internal HDMI header is legit!

Getting this..thanks for the beautiful review!
What a beautiful board.

Mines too👌

1:00 Is that Klaire talking?
That motherboard is absolutely beautiful 🔥🚀
It is klaire
The X670E version runs about $300 and it has been solid. I replaced my Crosshair Extreme X670E with it and love it.
I really like the look of it. I have the AsRock X670E Taichi Carrara and am tempted to switch purely for the aesthetics LOL as it is even more 'white'. Ahhhhh

Did you figure it out? I'm choosing the gigabyte one or Asus strix b650a.
Hey you didn't mention that type c port on the back panel is native USB 4.0 directly from CPU.. (by now only supported by phoenix 1 8000G series)
This motherboard on the new Montech Hs01 silver case, it will fit perfectly!
Banger of a video fams. Love the white board, keen to see more of these
Definitely using Bingo Bango in casual conversation from here on out!
🤣 Do it!
I never got the chance to buy the gigabyte B550 vision board but I sure as hell will get this for my upgrade and use my gigabyte 3060 vision
Hello from Southeast Asia. Thanks to you, just pre-ordered. Kinda hard to get this beaut in my country.
a really pretty board , great video , guys
I'm down for more color variants of MOBO PCBs.

Merci pour ta vidéo et présentation de cette très belle carte mère
Bonne continuation 👍🏿
If it only had a spdif out would be instant buy
Quick question: What audio does it have? Is it alc 4080, alc 1220, alc 1200 or the old entry level alc‘s?

Agreed, doesn’t really make sense does it
I just wish it were equipped with the Realtek ALC1220 for gaming and movie watching.
You have a typo in the name of the video. It's "AX" not "AC". :P
will a Noctua NH-D15 G2 LBC fit with this board? worrited about the heatsink to the left

What's the difference between this one and the other B650 Ice board?
Biggest diff is this one has PCIE Gen 5 gpu/Gen 5 m.2 slot.
Im running Ryzen 7 3700X.. Got myself a new AIO cooler and now im looking for AM5 motherboard to be ready for the new Ryzen CPUs.

What does the X bring we already dont have?
Hope you can answer. Does this support the 7800X3D out of the box? No bios update needed?
Does the USB-C DP port on the back output displayport when using a Ryzen 7000 CPU with integrated graphics? Or does the DP alt mode only work with the Ryzen 8000 series APUs?
whats your opinion about the gigabyte x670e aorus pro x compaired with 7800X3D?
5 ot of 10 gigabyte boards are very famous for its coil whine. what about this specific model? anyone experienced?

Pairing this with the phanteks nv5
i like his look but i dont like the hub function for all usb at rear )
Its more of a light grey than white.
$279.99 on Amazon, not sure what the pricing talk was.
can you tell me the audio codec Soc use in this board
Is the 6 layer thing really an issue wuth rhis board? Im asking since zen 5 is around the corner and 6400 is the new target it seems.
pcb layers barely matter, you can hit 8000mhz with 6 layer pcb's
I got mine at microcenter. The pin slot for the cpu had bent pins. I don’t know if this might be a cause of my bios going into a bios loop. If anyone knows, please let me know. I already replaced my dram and it still gave the bios loop.
if it has a bent pin the board is no good.
no stickers? 😱
Is this board actually white or is it silver? Because in every other picture i see of it it looks silver.
White
@ 3:20 you say the inbuilt HDMI connector can be used with the Hyte Y70 touchscreen. But doesn't that use the DP? Can you confirm?
X670 Elite: i don't think so
🙏
I still don't understand why they are 4 DDR sockets when they say gamer motherboards, they keep selling that nonsense
Pci GPU holder should open and close as a sandwich. No more cracking 😂
Sincerely, everyone. Gigabyte has one of the worst driver support systems and my next build I will stay clear away.
It's really not that bad
But it's white
I hear everyone saying this but I've not encountered any issues yet with my B650M Aorus Pro AX
The vast majority of mobos i use are gigabyte. My own 4090 is from Gigabyte as well. 6 rigs at home, all with Gigabyte mobos.
Same, I have yet to experience anything bad, but one bad experience doesn’t make up for everyone’s. Keep that in mind.
Like the video please
Bad idea doing business with Gigabyte. They're as bad as Asus if you try to contact them about a problem. Be nice if an American company started building mother boards. Fat chance!
The world is bigger than America.
NOT
Perst
If they can't get all those connections on the back it is trash to me...get that crap off the front of the board.
whats make me angry on gigabyte is their rear IO is shit MB looks beatiful but the IO is like the cheap A520 or A610
