My notifications got turned off so I got to this video late. Good to see you and we appreciate you taking us along. Spring trapping is always fun. Enjoy watching your videos thank you.
Hey Eddie aside from my Dad youre my best darts buddy. Youre so talented, knowlegeable, and well spoken. Really happy to see your doing well doing what you love.
Hi Kevin. It's great to hear from you. Thanks for your kind words. We need to have a re-connect one of these days. Tried looking you up in the white pages. Are you still in the "peg? We are back in PR full time. Number is in the book. Hope to talk to you soon.
Hi there. We finally got hit with a pile of snow here in the past 3 weeks. What a difference it has made. My new sled finally is getting a little of run time!!
Got a lot of snow here now Brother. You probably got some of it as well. Tough slugging in the bush now but trying to set up a few snares on their established trails. Gonna keep after them.
I consider us all brothers as well! I am always watching or reading or trying to learn more! I love trapping and sharing my experiences! I really appreciate you sharing your knowledge as well my friend!! Good luck with everything!
Hi there Brother. Yes there is always something to learn about trapping. I like the trial and error about doing things and finding what works best for your situation. Thank you for all your comments and taking the time to watch.
Well like I always say, A good day in the bush is never a wasted day. We went from having no snow for most of the winter to about 2 feet or more right now. Take care Brother.
Was wondering what you'd been up to. See you had a game on the TV there LOL. My Bruins been faltering of late. Keep after those wolves and I hope you get a few more before seasons end. Take care and stay safe out there.
Hi there Brother. Yes the Bruins are sure missing Bergeron and Krejci this year but are still keeping up there. Thanks for coming along and take care my friend.
Don’t give up on the wolves, the fur behind you looks good. Yes sir you’re exactly right about the young people getting involved in trapping. I’m 70 did a little trapping this year but not as much as I wanted. Our fur sale was last week, I wouldn’t be scared to say the average age trapper there was 60 plus. Stay safe Brother look forward to your next video
Thank you for the kind words Brother. I appreciate your comments. Since my last video, we have had a few more bigger snow storms. Spent yesterday, pulling snares out of the snow and setting some new ones on trails the wolves and coyotes had made. Hopefully, it will pay off on another wolf. Take care my friend.
Hello Brother! Yes, we are all Brothers. Curious as to what that wolf is dragging. Its leaving some fairly significant drag marks. Hope you catch some more. You have them hanging around so you might as well keep after them. I still have not seen a wolf track this winter. Hard to catch when they aren't around. But im seeing a lot more moose and moose tracks around so that's a good thing. I like seeing them. Thx for the video my friend. Have a great day!
Good morning Brother. I followed that wolf drag and it ended up being a deer hide. It wasn't one of my pieces of bait but they had a good time dragging it and playing around. We have a crazy amount of snow now and it is tough slugging in the bush. Spent yesterday pulling snares out of the snow and setting up some new snares where the coyotes and wolves have established a few trails through the poplar. Thank you Brother for always taking the time to watch and comment. I appreciate your support. Take care.
Yes I always like talking with anyone who traps. It's too bad the coyote market went south. I never set one coyote snare this year and all the ones I've caught were in wolf snares. It's always great to have a little visit with Mary. She is such a great person and very knowledgeable with the fur market and industry. Take Care.
Good show brother 👊 when i first started trapping 4 or 5 years ago i asked a trapper named neil to show me how to hang a snare & bed a trap properly for coyotes & wolves He said pay me…? Great way to push young trappers away… apparently he’s involved in the trapping association as well the proper way is to say come join the club & meet some members & maybe one can mentor you for a season… i’m learning every year I really can’t complain about my canine season pulled the plug. 2 weeks ago even though i can play a few weeks longer… i’m rooting for you brother hope you snag a few… what area you trapping?
Thank you Brother. I think I might know who you are talking about. That's too bad. I grew up in the era when all the old trappers were very hesitate to teach you any of there setups or tricks of the trade. It was very competitive in the early 80's when everything was skyrocketing in price. I guess they didn't want their competition to harvest the fur. You've had a great season and I love to see you "hooked up" so many times. I trap in the open area along the East side of the Duck Mountains. Kind of between Swan River and Dauphin. Take care Brother.
@@trapperfurever Ya i guess some people think it’s beneficial to keep things tight lipped but i wasn’t asking for his secrets just a little push forward. Beautiful area i know it fairly well i use to deer hunt that way when my dad was alive
I try to never walk on either wolf or coyote tracks. I always approach the trail from the side when I set the snare. Sometimes after we've had a lot of snow and my tracks have been covered, I will set up right on my trail as the animals will sometimes take the path of least resistance because it has already been packed.

Thanks for sharing yes it’s been funny winter bad luck on the wolves🙀
Thanks for taking the time to come along with me. Yes sometimes the wolf wins but not always.

Enjoyed your video, maybe see you in Humboldt in a couple weeks
Thanks for watching Greg. Plan on being in Humboldt on Saturday. Hope to see you there.
Congrats on the catches
I very much enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up
Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment. I always appreciate it. Take care.
Great video sir! Just seen your channel this am. Cheers from a fellow Parkland trapper!
Thank you for taking the time to watch my friend. Great to hear from a fellow trapper from another side of the Ducks. Take care.
Similar temperatures and snow around here, can't say I've ever started my snowmobile for the first time in March!
Hi there. We finally got hit with a pile of snow here in the past 3 weeks. What a difference it has made.

Yes I love it it was a different winter in Nova Scotia but it’s still awesome to get out and get educated by the cridders lol all the best
Well like I always say, A good day in the bush is never a wasted day. We went from having no snow for most of the winter to about 2 feet or more right now. Take care Brother.

@13;46 should have bagged that gem and traded it with someone at the wolf workshop....the 25 mile trade rule. Best of luck
Yes, that truly was a gem. No ziploc bags, so putting it in your pocket isn't a great option. Thanks for watching.
Keep moving forward
Yes in the words of our dearly departed Brother Dwayne, we shall move forward. Take care.
Great video, hope you do well at the fur sale.
Hi there Brother. Yes, I guess we will see how the sale goes in a few weeks. Hopefully can get a few dollars for gas. Thanks for coming along.
If you trap we stick together like family. I used to trap lots of coyotes here in Manitoba but there not worth trapping for me. You going to see Mary
