I love this Pekka Kuusisto, what a fantastic person with so much humour, as well as a brilliant musician. Finland must be so proud of him! I watched the video clip of Hans van den Boom's visit to Pekka just before the 2019 Prinsengrachtconcert, 2 months ago. Pekka lives in the beautiful Finnish countryside, on the edge of a small lake and surrounded by trees. Hans was there to instruct him on 'Aan de Amsterdamse Grachten'. Great video.
Pekka knows how to take the audience. Here it also seems the audiencce is close enough the orchestra gets their vibe - Pekka seems to live with it. He's in his elemant.
Wondering when this wonderful piece can be played again in the UK, and that British musicians can travel to the Netherlands and Finland to play for them.
