I think the part with the sexual harassment is so much worse than the bodyshaming. I’m a teenage girl who was sexually harassed and assaulted when I was young by another girl. Being a lesbian or bi sexual is not an excuse to do things like this, and then victimize yourself and claim to just “ accepting myself and my sexuality with being who I am”. People like Lizzo need to grow up and realize that reality is not what you want it to be.
I was also harassed on a train in high school. It is not ok to assault people with being bi or lesbian.

I'm a thin person and a few years ago I went through a period of extreme thinness. Some fat and supposedly body positive "friends" were constantly making fun of my body, always stressing that nobody liked dating skeletons. Needless to say, I haven't seen them for years - they were judgmental and extremely envious, always making some acid and mean comment about beautiful women both anonymous and famous. Of course we can't generalize but I've never heard so much judgment as from those people's mouths. my life also got better when they disappeared from it.

It will never make sense, it will never go away, but it still has to be opposed at every opportunity. Judge individuals based on their specific actions. That part of the little girl (or boy who knows anymore) at the concert telling her story about getting bullied and getting sent upstage felt extremely staged. The generic "sad" music in the background and Lizzo talking like she practiced that speech 10 times in front of a mirror before she went on stage came off as disingenuine. No surprise she's getting exposed as a fraud.
It was at a concert in Sydney. I don’t think she is the best role model for a child. The sign the little girl held up said it all to me.

I’m so happy I’m around a group of adult women (I’m 24) that wanted to be mothers, wives, and homemakers, while also working a job they loved. I’m so happy we as a group didn’t become lost. We’re all moms and roller skate with our kiddos at the park, we go to the water park every Tuesday, Im not rich at all my dad bought us water park passes. I’m so happy I surrounded myself with women I wanted to be. I wish all would have a group like I do, I met the best man and I just wish all women could see what we are meant to be.

When I was a tubby (like 25% bodyfat) this gargantuan lady, deadass stomping as she walks, pushed me over (her enormous linebacker-like frame not fitting through the space I gave her) and said “move fatass” and take note that this was coming from one of the most obtuse people I’ve ever seen, people don’t realize how dumb they seem.

I heard of this but didn’t know the full details of the sexual harassment, I thought forcing the women to go to strip clubs was bad enough, I believe she did fire a dancer who didn’t wanna go due to religious beliefs.
I was confused about the weight shaming thing, when she was only hiring fat dancers, I for some reason assumed she was shaming them for losing weight, which wouldn’t surprise me because the dancers are non stop dancing.
She does come across as a bully even the aggressive was she speaks gives me anxiety.
