SHEIN Paying Influencers To Lie?

- Shein is one of the leading brands in “fast fashion”. They sell extremely cheap clothes and have been exposed for their unsafe and unethical workplace environment in their Chinese factories. In hopes of cleaning up their horrible reputation, Shein flew a group of influencers to see the Shein headquarters in China and share the 'truth' about the company.

The fact the Shein invited influencers instead of journalists tells me all I need to know.
Spot on
The fact it was promoted by Shein itself tells me even more
Such a great point.
I mean genius tactic. Influencers are easy to fool
As if journalists are anymore reputable. Most “journalists” are little more than political activists or propagandist.
My nerd (sister) has always been buying from SHEIN, and I’ve told her the whole time she’s supporting modern slavery. She’s just like “okay, and?” I just can’t believe what people have come to in America not caring about anyone else but themselves.
"Not caring about anyone but themselves"
Brudda that is legit conservatism.
That’s the average American tbh
Talking behind your sister's back for youtube points is crazy ngl.
The average woman* not average American, women are naraccists
We all support some form of modern slavery or exploitative labor. We're hardly better than your sister.
I used to shop for some basics on Shein. Surprisingly most of the clothes I got turned out nice and have held up for years. It wasn’t till I saw the research into the company a while ago that I decided to stop buying from them. However, I would never throw away the clothes that I have already purchased because that seems like a waste. Everything in our lives today “causes cancer, contains lead, etc etc” At that rate might as well throw away everything you own. The real enemy is falling prey to this modern idea of “needing” more, constantly. Keep and wear what you already have and only buy things you truly need and know is sustainable.
Me too, most of the things I got from shein are good quality and I will no longer shop there but I’m getting a little worried about the toxic chemicals in the items I already have..
@@AA-kk1kg from shein ?
Okay the "everything causes cancer" thing I get cause of overlabeling but lead? Everything does NOT contain lead. Lead is difficult to find in products the developed world and it is very harmful, don't downplay that
Honestly, the idea of throwing away the product to fight against slavery is practically a superstitious ritual.
Those slaves ain't gonna be free just because you destroy what they did.

Never heard of Shein until today. But a clothing company in China not treating workers with basic rights does not suprise me.
Whats new? Jobs are hard to find and workers are many in China. The workers would otherwise get nothing. It's a very poor country and a sad situation all around.
@@happyzahn8031bro thats called slavery the workers dont have the means to leave the job and the bosses abuse them legit slavery
Really? As oppposed to the Us where peopl Make min wage and have terrible health care system atleast in China they will get healtj cre
Also lets not forget how ur people treated the inmates at G bay
@amstersheikh6995 Firstly, saying what my people did to the inmates at Guatemala Bay doesn't mean I personally condone their actions. Far from that, in fact. Secondly, saying it's my people is somewhat racially charged when race isn't being brought into this. Lastly, that's comparing a situation that in observing the both of them, they aren't similar in any facit. One situation had Prisoners getting tortured, and demented in the worst ways in our country's standards, and making more out of the problem is that the US President says he wants to shut down the facility but hasn't presented a plan at all. (So make that as you will) Now the other side is one situation with China's blatant disregard for its own citizens who most aren't convicted of a crime worthy of the stuff they go through on a daily basis. The same country where they would keep citizens in their homes and would execute anyone who dared trying to leave the walled in areas. (Even in life-threatening fire type situations) or force them to do the most life draining things to keep their lives. Such as working for a place like Shein. We need to have a bigger outlook than on just our own country.
Someone I follow recently got paid to do a Temu promotion.
Pouring out a box of must have trash on to her bed,

My roommate buys tons of clothes from Shein. Literally she gets Shein packages all the time- and I’ve said something about it, but she just says she can’t afford anything else… no girl. No. Those Chinese laborers can’t afford anything.
Thrift! At least they don't need to break their back twice!
Can't afford anything, so she keeps buying...? They're not groceries!
That's a real shame. Here in Brasil I have a hard time finding clothes I like at a reasonable price. Once I started shopping at Shein, my closet got more colorful, I felt like I was dressing better.. and it didn't break the bank. I honestly don't have much to complain about the quality of the things I got (maybe I was lucky). But to think about what goes on behind the scenes, makes me feel guilty. I don't have the balls to throw these clothes away, but I'll avoid buying anything there again.
I'm in a similar place. I was in a really bad place financially, and SheIn was pretty much my only choice (I couldn't afford prices at most stores, and even if I could, I didn't have the time to find what I needed since if I wasn't working, I was home helping my family). I still use these pieces years later (the quality is really not so bad, esp considering the price) and the few pieces that wore out their use as clothes got turned into cleaning rags. I don't buy from Shein anymore, but I still wish I hadn't bought from them before, even if I didn't have much of a choice back then
Please do, for you health and safety. If there's lead, it's organic lead, that's what's used in fabrics. And that stuff is absorbed through your skin. Your clothes are literally killing you slowly.
not wise to keep them. your fashion, or your health. decide.
I agree. A lot of people ignore the fact how expensive things are for those in third world countries. A decent top of good quality in my country is like $400. Ordering from America is just worst as $1USD=$7 of my country's currency plus shipping, that in some cases, comes up to double the price of the actual item. I never bought from Shein but I know a lot of friends and family who shop from there though. I obviously don't condone what they are doing, but at the same time people I wish more people understood our situation as well. Shein isn't the only brand that does this either but most major international companies. The root of the issue is not Shein but things such as child labor and environmental exploitation must be addressed wholly.
It’s the same in Mexico. No cheap clothes. We don’t have Poshmark or Mercari. We have GoTrendier which is so shitty and expensive. Not everyone has the privilege like others have to buy more expensive clothes. Still I have never got anything from Shein,
it's like when a kid is in college and they know their parents are coming to visit. they clean up real well, hide anything they don't want to be seen, and keep up the charade until they leave!
Lol "kid"
So true
Not every college kid is an a$$ FYI
It really is wild to me how so many people don't understand how clothes are made. Almost every article of clothing you wear was made by a human. Once you understand the labor that goes into clothing, it will make you much more selective with your purchases.
Exactly ! But my whole thing is why people are selectively attacking SHEIN, like almost ALL of our clothes are made in other countries where they pay those workers less and they work long hours . We all know that. so are we just going to walk around naked? People that are talking about these Chinese companies, need to keep the same energy with the IPHONE that they are using to watch these videos.
@@newyork123420Yeah, you have a point here, this is such a huge story, I would not have the energy to write all the intricate parts of it. And yes, there are small companies that produces clothes without slavering their workers, we just need to search for them, and also, not consume so much, but again, people do need to work as well... each generation has its burdens to carry.
@@newyork123420 your phone wasn't made by slaves because phones required skilled and well educated labor. Your clothes, on the other hand, can be made by child slaves. It's totally different.

Corporate greed. I’ve become a minimalist and try to repurpose clothing that cannot be donated. I dye clothes that I still fit in, but am bored with.
I used to love Shein. I was just about to buy a $26 Trench Coat however, after listening to this I am reconsidering my decision. The health risk and the treatment of the people creating these products is very disturbing.
Don't make your decisions based on information from one video. Research it yourself.
I was going to buy something two. They have cute clothes for very cheap prices, but knowing the workers are being abused is not okay. My four year old had a high lead levels. We tested everything in the house. It turned out to be on my husband's work uniform. My husband started changing at work before he came home and my son's lead levels went down. I would never wear or bring something in my home that could cause harm to my child or family in the name of cheap fashion. I know there are a lot of people who buy from shien to save money. We have to ask ourselves at what cost.

Everything is so over mystified, sewing is not that hard. You can get high quality fabric a needle and thread and get to work. The stuff I hand sew myself lasts a lot longer than this. Takes a few hours to make, but patterns are largely variations of basic shapes. So much is rectangles and triangles if you go for really simple stuff.

I’ve never bought anything from Shein, Wish, or Temu. But this stuff does beg the question; how is any of that worse than working in a wet market? The trend to hate influencers is sooo 2020 bro. Ur 3 years late.
I confronted a friend once about overconsumption, he had over 200 pairs of cheap factory made shoes and continued to buy on a weekly basis. He told me that life is to short to care about that stuff, he wants to be happy and live his life. We need to find a way to feel whole without overconsumption, we need to instill in our youth that material things don’t make us happy, we need to value well made things that will last.

Hello nice comments here please what exactly kind of investment are you talking about here, I'm really interested too
Make it make sense. The factories that supply the overpriced mall clothes are also in China, also working under the exact same terrible conditions. They just mark it up for more profit, I’m not sure how that makes it better. It’s just a smear job by the same assholes that can’t stand the idea of their profits being reduced, ever.
Not saying that this is ok, only pointing out the hypocrisy of suggesting this is unique to shein
Exactly. We’re ok with sweat shops as long as American companies can over charge for the product, but when China tries to cut out the American billionaire middle man all of a sudden we have a problem
Shein is just a middleman, these facorties produce for many platforms. The problem isn't Shein, it's slave labour in general.
This. The sweatshop (or at least very close to sweatshop) production model for clothing in asia is just problematic to say the least. Its not just Shein.
Yes, exactly! 🙌🏻
Not really. These people are not slaves. They are not kidnapped and locked up to work against their will. These people NEED these jobs, else they would not take them. What idiots in first world countries don't grasp is that by boycotting these companies and trying to shut them down, they are effectively trying to commit large scale murder. If these factories close, the people who depend on them to feed their families will all lose their jobs. If there were better jobs, those people would have taken them to begin with. You will leave people without jobs, without income, and they will all die. It really takes a complete imbecile to think that trying to take away jobs from people who need money desperately enought o put up with sweat shops in the first place, is the solution. I am not saying the work conditions are good- I'm saying let's buy a ton from these companies so they STAY IN BUSINESS so that all of these people have FOOD ON THE TABLE. It beats having no jobs and no income at all like many other countries.
Kind of a mischaracterization. You're framing it like they're drop shippers. They employ factories specifically for the purpose of product output and cheaper labor and it's pretty standard practice for popular chinese companies to do that along with other things like cut corners or use unsafe cheaper materials, on top of the fact they are the biggest producers of pollution on earth. The problem is Shein, and other chinese business like it, which btw, its not just fast fashion. The chinese government owns child labor mines in africa through direct gov orgs. or affliated gov companies. Are they middle men too?
Im sure this was already said but...The factories wouldnt exist if it werent for garbage companies like Shein.
Throwing away the clothing into landfills is half the problem.

@@nahomaleigh that is so outrageous I'm so sorry, I wish Americans would just start thrifting cause you can find really good quality, inexpensive clothing without supporting a brand like shein
@@nahomaleigh Hard same. I used to be able to thrift for RM 1-5 (roughly $4-20) and still get quality items. Nowadays the cheapest, in-good- condition clothing item I could find costs at least $40. Thrifting no longer feels fun.
When you factor in shipping places like Poshmark and Mercari are expensive. You cannot find a dress shipped for $10 there. Plus, they are already worn, often smell bad, have stains and other issues and have no return policy. Shein has a very generous return policy so if things don't fit you can return them. They often do free shipping with no minimum and the clothes are brand new and do not smell bad. I use both platform types and sorry but there is no comparison between the two.
SO MANY people have said that their products from Shein have a horrible smell. Some are so bad they are tossed out immediately. I'm glad you haven't experienced this, but it is up to you to support a company with reported working conditions that are horribly unethical. And you may have items of clothing that could harm your health and even be carcinogenic, just sayin'.
Most of my wardrobe is from Poshmark. I’ve been able to find new with tags items or new without tags or very gently used from good brands with excellent quality at a fraction of the price. Even the shipping is worth it for that.

Greetings from China. I'm currently working in China, Chengdu and have been for the past 5 years. I don't like influencers and never will, BUT that "body positivity" influencer did say one thing that's right; the US doesn't really know what's going on in China...some of the things you guys hear are basically just propaganda. My roommate is Chinese and her parents both work in factories in Southern China, her mother works in a clothing factory that only makes knock-offs from popular brands. The second influencer said that the workers work "normally" and have a basic 9-5 schedule. That's complete bull... They DO NOT work 8 hours a day, they're typical work day starts at 8am and finishes (depending on whether they've finished that day's work) typically around 10pm. Now you might think that's cruel and harsh but that's a typical day for most employees in China; you can be a construction worker or work at a prestigious advertising company, and "over-time" isn't a thing here. For example, Chinese/local teachers in China work from 8am until around 7/8pm in primary and middle school and around 9/10pm in high school. Schooldays are super long here BUT it's normal... You work until you die, that's what's normal. BUT THIS IS THE THING - Chinese people know that their work culture is gruelling and might seem "strange" or "cause for concern by the Western world" but they've always been and always will be extremely hard-working and efficient. Those factory workers get paid 3000 or 4000 yuan according to the video, that's not bad considering the living costs in China are pretty low. Is it super safe and as robotic as these "influencers" make it out to be...no probably not. BUT the employees know exactly what the conditions are and they still choose to work there. Granted some don't have a choice but instead of sitting at home or becoming homeless, they choose to work and earn a living. So before America goes off again, talk to people who work there or have been living and working in China for a few years.
AMERICANS THINK THAT THE WHOLE WORLD THINKS LIKE THEM!!! BRUH!!! 🤣😅😂

I don't buy a lot of clothes but when i do i spend the money to make sure it's from a sustainable brand, with good materials, preferably 100% organic cotton so the workers are not exposed to pesticides, or linen.
I would love a video from somebody like Brent, or Candace to go into detail about brands/materials that are better for our planet, and our bodies. All of the polyester that we're wearing has micro plastics that we absorb. I very rarely buy anything made from recycled plastic anymore.
I think of North Korea when they try to show that they're not starving their people by showing full grocery stores when in reality those are just facades and there's not actual food in there. This company reminds me of the same thing where they are showing you what it's "really" like, but in reality, it's much worse.
Thank you for covering this! It's not often we see conservatives discuss the topic of waste and abuse amongst companies like Temu and Shein. It's bad for our economy and our environment and promotes poverty within our country because of the continued trend of importing low quality, foreign goods.
For my workout apparel. Each pair of shorts is $60-$80. However, for that price point they come with a lifetime warranty. I have replaced 3 pairs of shorts at no cost at all. I can even change the color and size for free when I make the warranty claim. I'm willing to spend extra money to get a better product that doesn't break down after 5 uses.
Exploitation was always their business model, otherwise how could manufacturing be that cheap
I guess they don't like their shady business tactics being exposed. Just like any profitable multi-billion dollar company ever.
Lmao the amount of people ashamed and disgusted by Shein’s practices….typing on their iPhones.
You among them.
Not just iPhones. Any electronic device 🙄

The influencers who allowed themselves to be bought like this are just as evil as Shein.
I use to order things off shein all the time but stopped when I learned more about them. Obviously this doesn’t excuse anything but I have to say my stuff from shein has lasted 5+ years and still look good. People think it’s aerie or target. I never related to that part of the shein problem
Just because something lasts long doesnt mean its made out of good quality. My bf bought some shitty tshirts for work very cheap, every single time he does laundry with only These 3 shirts, entire pile of clothes stinks. And im talking horrible salty chemical stinks, and they are 4 years old. I made him throw them away. Yall shein buyers go do heavy metal level testing at doctors. Honestly shein isnt only one or first to do this. All this cubus, zara, cropp work the same but now during inflation a shirt at cropp costs 5 times more
I was just thinking about how people are even still shopping from there! Support and shop from your small businesses! These large fast-fashion industries don’t care about the quality of your products, no do they care about their workers!
Never could bring myself to buy something from shein... red flags when you can buy something that looks like should be a nice item for super cheap
Red flags with yellow stars on them, to be more precise.
Shein is not the only one and it’s not only in china. Most of these companies use child labor and treat their workers like ish
It is so hard to know what company actually treats workers well, especially in China.
Why does Brett act like she's so much better than those influencers? She's literally the same. That's their job.
She never advertise clothes that are toxic …
I’ve since quit, but back when I was still watching that stuff I thought SHEIN was a brand of adult videos at first. A lot of their promotional material is still really degrading to women.
Right so, as a Chinese who has grown up in China before I moved to the UK, £10-£20 is what normal clothes cost in China. Whenever I go home to China, I’d go shopping and buy so many clothes- they are pretty, cheap (literally less than £30 each piece), and with quality better than most fast fashion brands. However, working conditions in China is bad, usually low pay with extremely long working hours - that’s part of the reason why the prices are so low.
Literally anything that comes out of China is like this. Clothes, trinkets, phones, gadgets. Whatever, take your pick. I'm 100% against SHEIN but understand until we improve and bring the work back to NA and keep the prices in a decent range, another store and another will just keep cropping up.
I wrote a 12 page essay about fast fashion for school a few months ago and I was shocked. Greenpeace tested 47 different pieces from Shein and 15% from these would be illegal in Europe, because of the chemicals. Other 15% made them worried, but wouldn't be illegal.
It's disgusting. I can go without it. Problem is many other companies like forever 21, Zara etc have the same issues. AliExpress as well I bet. Thankfully, I'm thrilled to say I don't need to shop there
Any suggestions on what to replace Temu with? For things that aren't clothing but more miscellaneous things? I live in Canada! I do thrift, but its always hard to find specific things that I need that only Temu has but if they are like Shien, I don't want to support that! I wish things were more affordable😔
Sending love as a fellow Canadian ❤️🥰. I relate and this is what I do personally. Some places I shop at as alternatives to Temu are Amazon, Etsy, eBay, thrifting, vintage markets, Walmart, and dollar tree/dollarama. I will occasionally customize decor if I buy it from the dollar tree for example and paint it. If I need something from a fast fashion brand I ensure it will serve me for a long time so it doesn’t go to waste immediately. Hope that helps.
I bought 30 dollars worth of clothes. They were awful and not how they were in the photos. I returned them. They say it takes “5 days” to get your money back. It has been 23 days I still haven’t gotten my money.
I love how bubbly brett is. I always smile when she does the intro. Gotta find me a girl like her.
when you hear how unintelligent these “influencers” are, it makes sense why a shady ass company like Shein would hire them. put them on camera and give them a plane ticket and they’ll say absolutely anything😂
I never trust companies that sell clothes cheap. I've made my own clothes on occasion, which means purchasing my own fabric. Just the cost for me to make a sleeveless chiffon was about 60 bucks. Quality Shorts cost me about 40 bucks to make. So, if you're buying a clothing item that's priced super cheap (like shorts for 5 bucks), imagine the crappy material it's made with, the lack of time the creator had to actually make the item sterdily, and ultimately how quickly the item will become garbage. The clothes I make last years. I can't say the same for any clothes I've ever bought that were cheap. Quality over quantity will always be cheaper in the long run!
I’m 💯 percent for sustainable fashion
Okay, so I bought 5 pairs of chino trousers from Amazon 2-3 years ago for £20 each, now I only have 2 pairs left over constant daily use. I also have vintage trousers from many charity shops which look like they are from the 70s of not at least the 90s and these are still in great condition, each pair of trousers cost around £5 and it comes with lots of benefits like reducing waste, cheaper clothing and helping good charities...I recommend ditching these online shops for charity shops 😊
I know for a fact she's not telling the truth about the quality of the clothing. So I can't exactly trust that she's telling the truth about the rest of it.
I've never bought from SheIn directly, but I have bought their stuff from second hand stores (assuming I'm saving it from a landfill) and now I'm scared there is lead in it 😮
Never bought from there and never will. Same for Temu. My mother is a hoarder and purchases so much junk from wish & now temu to fuel her need for tiny highs of receiving packages for cheap and let's them pile up in her home. We cleared out her previous home and filled up 5 large sized dumpsters with junk that no longer served a purpose covered in mouse pee and poop. Seeing it all just be so wasteful, Made me think so differently about anything I spend money on now... NO TO TEMU!
I feel if companies like Shein were genuinely sustainable they wouldn’t feel the need to constantly prove themselves because very little ppl would be complaining about it in the first place.
That girl at 15:16 also should blend in her concealer before she talks.
Edit: I know that’s irrelevant but I decided to point it out anyways lol

This crap happens everywhere all the time. The only real concern is the lead in the clothing.
I'm actually shocked that they pay the workers more than $500 a month. In the Philippines, an all around maid (clean, cook, do the laundry, nanny of the children, etc.) is less than $100 a month. You can have a managerial position with a $200 - $300 a month sallary (sans benefits). I really thought it's much cheaper in China. Boy was I wrong.
Re: working condition. It's pretty much the same in other 3rd world countries. Like, a mass producing shoemaker I know. Doing all the work in their own house, around all the children. All the grinding of the leather and rubber. All the fumes of the adhesives. And these well-made/high quality leather shoes (done in less cost) will be sent off to the United States to be labeled and sold in high price.
Re: That influencer, maybe going to China is the only times she was able to get out of her own country. Hence, she believed that everything is as she's shown and told in that company. Maybe she doesn't know that whenever you take a tour in other countries, the tour guides will never take you to the slums. They will never bring you where the roaches and rodents thrives. All they will show you are the "beautiful" and awe inspiring sceneries. The same goes to companies hosting visitors. Workers will hustle and bustle to tidy up the place, to dress up (put on some lipstick and make sure no hair is misplaced, to "act" like they're so focused in their work (if that's the script).
Damn I just got my girl some outfits from SHEIN..and now I feel bad little kids had to stitch the clothes while inhaling lead particles 🤦🏻♂️
Don't worry, H&M and forever21 and all those affordable shops also have slave labour. But Shein is getting so much hate because it's outrunning all the other fast fashion stores in America and Europe
I'm starting to see Shein junk flood into thrift shops, (that lovely last bastion of good quality clothes at cheap prices). It makes me so mad.
Honestly I have clothes from Shein bought a year ago that I still wear and they have not fallen apart 🤷♀️ Also Shein has brands like Dazy and Motf that are high quality clothing and are not cheap. Prices range anywhere from 19.99 to 129.99 from what I've seen.
Yeah Shein is a lot different now. They have different brands with them now, and I mean most companies do child labor it’s not only Shein you know?
So if the quality and prices are higher, the slave labor is acceptable?
@@JF-gy7tt I never said that lol
@@JF-gy7ttthen stop buying from H&M, urban outfitters, forever 21 and ALL the affordable stores.. It's affordable because they ALL use "slave" labour....
To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of Shein. The reason is that I’m a guy and don’t have any interest in women’s fashion, yet they keep showing me ads on RUclips. And on top of that, the ads look very lustful and I always look away whenever I see one to avoid temptation.
Edit: In case you were wondering, yes, I am a Christian.
They make men's stuff too, I think it's a recent addition.
@@volusian95Interesting… I’ve only seen the women’s clothing.
Truly appalling. As an alternative teen who is given a budget (thankful for my parents on that one), I've shopped at both SHEIN and ROMWE (under the same company as SHEIN, just advertised as different) in the past because they put out these trendy accessible clothes for such a cheap price. I had known that SHEIN had had issues in the past with copying designs, and typically I just turned a blind eye because it was cheap clothing. Hearing about this has made me never want to shop at SHEIN again. Disgusting.
As a person who grew up in the garment industry --- non-factory (home-work) is common and is done by a piece work arrangement. For example $0.55/a piece completed.
Thanks for making this video! I was boycotting them but I didn't have any proof... I just felt it was too good to be true - very large variety of cute stuff for dirt cheap

Those ' influencers' who I've never heard of are pathetic. The absolute state of them.
I always have been wary about stuff like shein and temu. It seems too good to be true.
Why not buy secondhand clothing? I went to a thrift retail store. I bought 2 pairs of brand new shoes, 2 dresses, 1 jacket, 4 blouses, 3 bottoms for $27. I paid $2.80 for each item. If you keep looking you can find designer clothes, and shoes. And we really don’t need the amount of clothing being pumped out from these companies.
Hi, I’m one of your biggest fans I love all your videos you’re so amazing❤❤❤
Shein & Temu advertising on RUclips is insanely annoying that I un-install the app 😤 The problem with Shein is the photo shop on the models are CRINGE 🤮 They steal styles from influencers trying to build their own brand 🫣 their clothes shrink after you wash it 🙄 and now learning about the labor on the employees is disgusting. I have had Shein, and Temu email many times asking me to collaborate with them. I won't do it...I don't even respond to their emails. I have collabed with other companies in the past, and the clothes never fit right, and the materials they are made from feel weird.
your legit a nobody your lying they did not
The fact that used clothes are pricey plus shipping and shein and temu are the same quality as Walmart, h&m, Zara, any mall store and free shipping and having 2 kids that need new clothes every season so a new wardrobe 4x a year and brings that my clothes budget is 10$ per week makes it reeeaaaalllyyyyy hard to not shop cheap China sites.
I was literally wearing a shirt from shein when I watched this. When I finished I immediately changed and threw out all my other shein shirts.😂 Did not know they were such a bad company. I can’t believe people running companies like this can live with themselves.
The damage was already done. I don’t see the point in throwing out goods you already bought.

It's hit and miss though, you'll never know what's good and what's got lead in the material !
There's a Shein warehouse near where I live and I was absolutely apalled the first time I saw it there. I will never ever shop at Shein...
The other problem is that if you don't buy these items or throw them away after hearing this story then all of it becomes a waste. It's just more waste and those people would have suffered for nothing. It's awful and the company should be taken down. But as long as it's still up I dont see the benefit for anyone involved to let these items go to waste.
I almost got clothes from Shein for a Halloween but the shipping would've been too late so I went into stores to buy them. I literally do not know what would have happened had those been ordered.
It always amazes me how I miss trends and have no clue about them until years later
I had to buy one thing from shein for a school show and what happened is that my card info was stolen and someone bought like 50 dollars worth of crap from urban outfitters which overdrew my account. Safe to say I have never and will never again shop there. And also I had to get a new card.
