Thanks for your comment, @paulsolon6229! You're right, it's shaping up to be an exciting Tour de France. The final time trial on stage 21 could indeed be a crucial decider for the general classification, and the pressure on the last day will be intense. Let's hope for a safe race with minimal crashes, especially during the time trials. Keep following for more updates and analysis throughout the Tour! 🚴‍♂🏆

What a joke. Make no mistake, I love and adore Phil Liggett. Let me add this though. Since 2008, I've been a Mark Cavendish fanatic. Quite simply, he's beyond anything we've witnessed in the modern day. Before the last 16 or so stages, Cav had been in approximately 200 TDF stages. Figure half of those were sprint stages he actually had a chance to win. He won basically, 34 of 100 or so stages. Phenomenal. Now I sit on a sofa in South Texas, and Phil and the gang live and breathe cycling. Through all the Epstein-Barr wars, through all the managers that left him off teams, I felt Cavendish could win again. On his 2 stage losses last year, he was, according to the computer, the fastest closer. (NO one of these so-called experts have mentioned that). How anyone close to cycling could be shocked that the Manx Missile could win again at TDF doesn't have anything to offer that I care to listen to. With a bit of good luck, the 2 crash tours, Epstein-Barr, you're looking at a kid that could've easily won 55-60 stages in TDF. In 2021, not a single One of these so-called experts gave him a chance. Nobody. It irks me to hear anyone put him in a conversation with Marcel Kittel. Just like MJ in basketball,, Kittell quit. That's a fact, Cavendish never gave up. There's one tour that stands out to me, and that's 2018. A great team. The first 10 days were practically all sprint stages. That team had him in the right position over and over again, he just didn't have his strength. I'll always believe that was virus related. When he went to 2021 Tour, I fully, without doubt, knew he could win. Oh, another kittel tidbit, he and Kittel are about even when Both were were present at a sprint finish. Fact is, they didn't have many head to head finishes. Why? Because sprinting is more than speed. Savvy, learning how to win. Jasper and Cav have had far more head to head finishes than anyone in Cav's career. These same, uh, so-called cycling experts continually opt to pick Jasper this year when here I am, sitting on a sofa, and even I know he has had a very dismal season. Before the tour began, I told my son, "Jasper has just been a bit off this year." But make no mistake, and no disrespect to Tim Merlier, but Jasper will correct this year's failures and he will be around winning a long time.
