I'm sorry, but House is just 100% a hypocrite here. He can't claim that the kid shouldn't do a dangerous surgery to ease the true pain he feels while popping like 20 vicodin a day. Especially considering that this kid is literally giving proof that the deformity is hindering his efforts to live a productive life. Like it's one thing if he just feels ugly and wants to change, but it's another thing if he is calm enough to rationalize his own decision and house doesn't have the hard proof to back up the diagnosis.

I don't think he was being a hypocrite. House makes it clear several times throughout the show that he views himself as a sort of cautionary tale when it comes to his leg. He's just also not a very great communicator about that and his overall arrogant attitude makes it look like he's being a hypocrite.

I agree with the first reply on here but adding to it he also said at the end that the kid can have the surgery at the end if he wants but that’s not what’s gonna help his condition. The steroids will.

Thought it was an interesting story, and I know that they always gray out the frame when something that might disturb the audience like blood or things of that nature..
The one thing I did not like was that they would gray out the image when they were looking directly at his face like it was too disturbing for the audience to look at...... That was wrong and uncalled for.
It's just my opinion, but it pissed me off that the people who made this clip did this.
There was nothing disgusting or disturbing about this boy's face.
And if there's anyone who really thought This, then they really don't have any humanity or kindness in their heart to accept people for who they are.
Yes I know it's just a story but that's not the point.
