yes, yes they should, that was an amazing video.... if nothing else, they should support Matteo, by using it and crediting him for it.... send more traffic to his awesome channel!
Very well done. Every review of this truck that I've seen only describes it's features. Good idea to actually show what the various functions do on real terrain. Big thumbs up!
This is the best TRX-4 video so far, guess we don`t need any other...First , supersmart with rubber tyre as steering wheel, i must copy that...second, first video that explains the features and show how to use them...you are a true master in making videos and reviewing rc stuff...very well done Matteo, we are lucky to "have you on board"...thumbs up..
Hi Matteo, your videos are always very interesting and at a professional level, but at the same time they are full of the passion you have for the R/C world. I think this Traxxas is provided with features that many enthusiasts were waiting for. I'm curious to see the customizations that some keen enthusiasts will want to do to the body... Thanks again to share these great videos, and... my Tundra is almost ready...
So, again you do it; displaying the TRX better than anyone else and making me realise this might be the crawler to buy. Excellent video - as always - so thanks and keep doing what you do!
Very great and enjoyable video! You demonstrate so well all the features of the TRX4! Your filming is so nice. Great variety of shots and angle. Music alternates with your explanation and the total is very entertaining. Congratulations.
Hehehe they told us in the truck driving school, don't drive the whole time with locking differential. But thanks for the video. It's really nice to see how it works. Big difference between locked and unlocked differential lock.
Matteo running a Traxxas, I never thought I'd see the day! Lol! This truck definitely piqued my interest when it hit the shelves, and your video was informative, and entertaining as always! Thanks for the great review!
Thanks Fil! Yes, Matteo is disloyal to Tamiya... But Tamiya and Traxxas are not competitors: Traxxas slogan is: The fastest in radio control, and Tamiya says no. 1 in quality! 😂
Although I'm primarily a Tamiya owner, I do run several other brands as well. Variety is the spice of life, right?!?! Thanks again for all the great videos!
This video got me so hyped... I went to my local hobby store and bought one today. They only had one in stock. Great job with the editing and explaining the unique features.
I agree wholeheartedly with anything rc´s comment, Matteo. Your production values exceed those seen in many professionally made rc videos. This video is superb, with excellent demonstrations of the locking diffs´ advantages and of the benefits of open diffs as well as the way you showcased the Traxxas´ two-speed gearbox and portal axles. Then there are the beautifully composed static-camera shots and the exquisite tracking footage, all coming together to set the standard other RUclipsrs can only hope to strive towards : )
Good showing of the benefits of locked and open diffs. Alternatively, my crawler can stop powering either axle so when I lock the rear I can pivot on my rear tires and turn much sharper!
Beautifully smooth video! Awesome truck but a little pricey for me. You displayed & tested the features perfectly & simple. Your commentary is always simple & on point! You do excellent work playing with toys, sir! ;)
Thank you for a beautifully shot and edited video as always from you, Matteo! Always relaxing to watch, and informative demonstration of all the features. I like to build my rc cars, but he Traxxas TRX-4 Defender is the first RTR I would like to buy. It looks just right out of the box. Clear windows, so a interior and a driver could be added would be perfect for the scale enthusiast, but I am sure it will be aftermarket options available soon. Nice to see the chassis in action, well done by Traxxas with trailing arms and Panhard rod made from gunmetal finished steel, and generous wheeltravel make it look very realistic when it climb rocks and other obstacles. Impressive with lockable differensials and easy to select with a switch. With two speed gearbox and cruise control, I think it is well worth the price, and made ready for led lights too. I am sure it would look spectacular shot in the evening with all the lights on (asking you to make a night video please) :) . This is a really good entry from Traxxas into the scale trail truck segment, looks very nice, and a exellent allrounder for on road, off road, trail driving, and as a crawler. Cheers.
Thank you very much for your splendid comment! I agree 100% with your words. Traxxas offers a clear polycarbonate body (I've already ordered) and a set of LED lights. So, I'll can paint it on my choice with clear windows. And for sure I'll make a video of it with the lights and night part. 👍😊
Awesome! Extremely well thought out video! Thank you! All the features are explained and demonstrated extremely clear. Also the videography is very excellent!
For the money they're asking, you'd think it would have a brushless motor or some metal parts. But it is really sharp looking. Great video as always, Matteo!
Awesome video - best production quality I have seen demonstrating this vehicle. Would love to see a "making of" some time soon - I'm sure many many others would benefit from learning from your techniques.
I have bought my Trx4 finally! I'm very satisfied with my Land Rover. Now my wife uses the Traxxas Telluride and I drive the Land Rover Defender (Trx4). A lot of fun........
Matteo's RC Movies Bad news. My servo is out. Is a very very sad situation ayer only 3 days of usage!!!. In a soft grass park. I've heard comments about this great great weakness of all Trx4 but AFTER sale. Is unbelievable that Traxxas continue offering a model with so gigantic problem and they dont make something really structural and substantial to solve this enormous fail TRAXXAS MUST Stop THE SALE OF this model until to fix it. I dont know what to do. I'll very sad and furious
No, of course is there not a structural or gigantic problem. In mine is still the first servo and it works well over months now. And I drive it a lot! Sure it's possible to have a bad servo, but this is the same from every brand. Cool down, and claim warranty from Traxxas.
I'm really impressed with this. Traxxas is still innovating, and considering the level of technology that goes into their trucks, they're not too expensive. For example, your Toyota Bruiser has great technology. Really just scaled down from real trucks, with its 3-speed gearbox and locking diffs, but it is VERY expensive, if we can even find it. This one is a bit smaller, but has a useful two speed gearbox with remote locking diffs and portal axles, for less than half the price. (AND it's widely available) Traxxas is thinking outside the box. Years ago, they innovated with the lay-down shock arrangement of the Revo. It made for a lot of easy tuning options. They then carried it over to the E-Revo, and adapted a dual brushed motor setup. Then, made a brushless version. (and found out the drive train was not quite strong enough for all that power with sloppy driving) They shocked us all again with the Summit, with its two speed gearbox, remote locking diffs, proper built-in LED lighting, and even the body is rugged enough. Not some disposable stamped piece of clear polycarbonate. I thought for awhile that they were done. Then, the XO-1 speed car. OK, NOW done for awhile, surely. Nope, X-Maxx came out. I had to have one. The first generation one was lacking something and needed a sloppy resistor modification in order not to start fires when driven hard on 6S. Again, it has the tough body, and this time, it didn't even need body clips! I got away from the hobby for a couple years, and when I came back, I see they came out with the TRX-4, which has some features from the Summit. Also, the Maxx, replacing the old easily-broken E-Maxx. Add to this good parts support and customer service (at least in the USA) and it is easy to justify the slightly higher pricing, compared to the also-excellent Kyosho. These days, Tamiya seems to be just coming out with new bodies to create sales; not really innovating any more. Just looking for easy cash grabs. I bet their vintage models sell better than the modern ones. I'm not even fanatical, and I bought a Brat, two Lunch Boxes, and I'm now thinking about a Pajero. The more I think on it though, the more I think the TRX-4 is the one I should get. Why? Pajero locally is $216. No radio. Luckily I have a spare receiver for my expensive Futaba FASST radio. No ball bearings. That is a bad thing to leave out on a $216 kit. No battery; not sure my 2S 5Ah stick packs will work with it. Pajero is a trail truck, no crawling pretensions, so the TRX-4 can do everything the Pajero can do except maybe be scale. AND it can do some crawling, AND it has good parts support. In short, Traxxas is doing things that make me proud to be American, and there's not too many of them, these days. :-\
Thanks Jeremy for your extensive comment! I agree, Traxxas really does a very good job! And I have a lot of fun with my TRX-4, one of my favorite truck! 👍😊
Hello Matteo! Your videos set the bar for all other RC videos! Keep up the great work. It's good to see a Traxxas in the lineup, though I prefer Tamiya. I'm hoping to see another video on the Mercedes G320, that's such a fantastic truck. Thanks again!
This video is fantastic! Very dangerous for me to watch - now I just have to own one. Excellent driving, video work, presentation and great information. Cheers and thank you from Sydney, Aust - Dave
another great rc by traxxas I've owned a t-maxx and still have original revo and really like them. I see they have repurposed the tx for the gears. I liked the explanation on the diffs I know why my bruiser has bad turning/steering atm seeing I've locked the diffs. a excellent video as per usual
Able to lock and unlock from the transmitter !?!? that's great!! and others ... so high performance RC. even so your reviewing video is fun and excite to watch.
I love the Tamiya models (I have a 1/14 Tamiya Ford Aeromax Truck) , but after that amazing video I must accept it: The Traxxas TRX-4 is really fantastic and out of category!. Your video is better than Traxxas's official videos. You can appreciate all the features and great capabiliy and power of the TRX4 I'm going to buy one this week Congratulations, Mateo Fernando Alberto Medina
I am sold, I will move this to the top of the list. You always do a bang up job on RC's. I just don't like the blacked out windows. I'll have to cut them out.
as always , excellent video - just would like to add something to your explanation of the " auto-speed " function : while in this "auto-speed " you can also adjust the speed with the throttle grip itself , you can go fast and then you let it go it will go back to the preset speed - if you hit the brake or reverse it will cancel the " auto-speed "
better than Traxxas own video !!! they should hire you next time Matteo !
Wow, thanks for your nice feedback! 😊
yes, yes they should, that was an amazing video.... if nothing else, they should support Matteo, by using it and crediting him for it.... send more traffic to his awesome channel!
Wow again! You guys are awesome with your amazing comments! Thanks so much!
Seamus RBNW lol
You should have known that was sarcasm.
Very well done. Every review of this truck that I've seen only describes it's features. Good idea to actually show what the various functions do on real terrain. Big thumbs up!

It's a great pleasure and motivation for me to get such good comments like yours! I really appreciate it! Thank you so much Jan Erik!
A wonderful video as usual Matteo! Such great videography, very inspiring for when the SBG gets it's own TRX-4! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks so much! Always a big pleasure to get so nice feedbacks from you! 😊

Thank you so much Kristoffer for your excellent feedback! 👍😊 I appreciate it!
awesome video ! I buy 99% vintage classics, but this is one I will put in the collection without hesitation.
Thanks Donovan! 👍
loved this video and LOL the huge tyre on the controller to steer.
Thanks! It was a spontaneous idea with the tire, but works fine! 😊
I love the clear explanations and corresponding demonstrations. Great job.
Thanks so much for your nice feedback! 😊
The quality of the video is well done! That is one AMAZING RC truck. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for your fine comment! 😊🙏

My favorite video on the traxxas trx4!!! very informative ! Amazing camera angles!
Thanks Azmi! Glad you liked it! 👍
Very great and enjoyable video! You demonstrate so well all the features of the TRX4!
Your filming is so nice. Great variety of shots and angle. Music alternates with your explanation and the total is very entertaining.
Congratulations.
Thanks so much for your splendid comment! I really appreciate it! 😊
Best review of this truck I've seen so far. Big thumbs up!
Thank you so much! I'm very pleased to hear this! 😊
Still enjoy coming back and watching this production. Thanks!
Thanks again for your nice feedback! 🙏 😊
Really one of the best and most informative videos out there, and I've watched a lot !
Wow, thanks! 🙏 ☺️

Brillant video for sure! Very nice demonstration of everything the truck has to offer. It seems like a pretty nice well thought out truck.
Thanks Jon! Yes it is! 😊
Great high quality professional video! Brilliant!
Thank you Brendan!
Good showing of the benefits of locked and open diffs. Alternatively, my crawler can stop powering either axle so when I lock the rear I can pivot on my rear tires and turn much sharper!
Thanks Joel. Yes this works also, but not so scale at all....😊
Beautifully smooth video! Awesome truck but a little pricey for me. You displayed & tested the features perfectly & simple. Your commentary is always simple & on point! You do excellent work playing with toys, sir! ;)
Thank you so much for your nice feedback! I'm very pleased about it!
Fantastic video, I learned more from this than I did from Traxxas's own promo video.... well done, very well done
WOW! What a great feedback! 🙏🙏 Thank you so much, I really appreciate it! 👍😊
I watched this video and it made me buy the TRX-4. It reminded me of the vintage Tamiya promo videos. Nice video, I have watched this a few times
Thanks so much Lee, for your nice feedback! 😊 Hope you have fun with your TRX-4!
Excellent review Matteo, thanks! I especially liked the unique suspension shot at 8:19 :-)
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
This has to be the best RC review period. Very well explained. Like those Portal Axles, that's neat.
Thank you Rick! Glad to hear this! 😊🙏
Great enjoyable and informative video, Matteo! I really like the blend of the cinematics and the demonstrations. Thumbs up as always!
Thanks so much! 😊
Good video. I am glad you mentioned covering air holes in the wheels for water driving. Great point and I think everyone usually learns the hard way.
Thanks for your good feedback! 🙏😊
As always you bring rc to life my friend.Your attention to detail is epic, review on the truck in my opinion ;) .

As always, yours is the best video out there. Matteo, you have extreme talent when it comes to capturing RC stuff. Keep up the amazing work.
Thanks so much Arthur for this amazing comment! I'm extremely pleased to hear this! 😊
For the money they're asking, you'd think it would have a brushless motor or some metal parts. But it is really sharp looking. Great video as always, Matteo!
Thanks Ignus! In my opinion the price is not too much for what you get. The quality is excellent!
Awesome video - best production quality I have seen demonstrating this vehicle. Would love to see a "making of" some time soon - I'm sure many many others would benefit from learning from your techniques.
Thank you so much for your awesome comment Neil! I really appreciate it! Maybe sometime I find time to do this! 👍😊
Some of the very best RC videos on RUclips! Yet another hit, with an awesome new truck!
Thanks! Glad you liked it!
Great video explaining all the functions. Now the TRX4 is next on my wish list. Many thanks 👍🏻
Thanks for your nice feedback Tim! 👍😊

Brilliant and informative as always. Traxxas should use this! I am still sure you have more than two hands, your videos are wonderful.
Thanks so much Martin! Do you say I am a mutant? 😂
Not a mutant . . . brilliant :-)
Stunning work! Amazing montage and camera moves! Really awesome!
Thanks for your nice feedback!
Matteo, amazing video yet again. You have shown the capability of this model and it really makes me want to buy it!

Merci Kaza mon Ami! Yes, no Tamiya, but good car!
Another excellent video of a nice RC truck!
Thanks Robert!
I am sold, I will move this to the top of the list. You always do a bang up job on RC's. I just don't like the blacked out windows. I'll have to cut them out.
Thanks Jerry. Yes, the black windows are not so sexy, but as you said, it just needs a modification!
Good Job!!! Got all the info I needed about this truck! Keep up a good work! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Adam! Glad it was helpful for you! 😊
That traxxas car is very nice, I love it, it's a very nice rc. Good video👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Merci!
as always , excellent video - just would like to add something to your explanation of the " auto-speed " function : while in this "auto-speed " you can also adjust the speed with the throttle grip itself , you can go fast and then you let it go it will go back to the preset speed - if you hit the brake or reverse it will cancel the " auto-speed "
Yes! Absolutely correct! Thanks for the additional explanations! 👍
