First ever Sunday video?! Let me know what you think about this concept friends - do you have quarterly reviews at home or work? If not, definitely encourage you to spend 30 minutes on these 5 questions and see what happens in the next 3 months!
Matt Ragland, no never had a quarterly review. I was trying to get my thoughts together about my first quarter the day you posted this video. Great timing-great video as always! Yes do the video man. Would love to know more about this OKR system. I really appreciate your work.
I had just finished reviewing Q1 this week, and it was valuable enough to continue in the future. It gave me a chance to narrow the focus on one goal so I could get it moving forward again. Looking forward to seeing more about OKRs.
Very interested in the OKR method. I just finished my 1st Quarter 2019 blog post. And after listening to you, I realize I totally missed two major accomplishments! I’ve been pulling my journaling back into information and away from 'artistic'. I want to give you a pat on the back for watching less tv as a default. I have stopped playing video games since Jan 3rd, and the productivity has increased. I never thought of it as a 'default' but it was! You’re very easy to listen to.
I really like this video. I find it interesting and I have been hearing about quarterly or regular reviews on my schedule and projects. I am at a library as to what to assess, so I really appreciate the questions. I am back in your email list. Thank you for that. I look forward to hearing more about the review process and the OKR process. I am working toward being more business minded, with a possibility if beginning my own business. I also enjoy all of your book recommendations. Right now I am working through Ikigai by Hector Garcia and Francesc Mirralles and Goals by Brian Tracy. I will be reading Getting Things Done by David Allen. I want to thank you for your time making these videos and sharing your real life experiences here.
Hello Matt, Thanks for sharing about the questions of Quarterly Reviews. I am interested in the OKR method. Could you please share with us? Thank you very much.
hey Matt, have you ever thought about doing a how you record your video post? I know it may seem like you are doing "tools" videos all the time, but I would love to know what setup for videos and taking shots for thumnails.
I have thought about it but doesn't really fit my channel topic at this time :( Considering starting a membership to do custom request videos just for "insiders" but we'll see :)
I used Passion Planner for a few years and then brought their system of quarterly planning/goalsetting/review with me when I started bullet journaling. Have you done a review on Passion Planner btw? A really good planner imo.
Think this is going to be brilliant , going to do it for next 3 months as busy getting ready for my daughters wedding in June, so should help with planning, Matt did you check I was on your email list ? Diane
Since February it's been really simple - I don't! Instagram is the only social app on my phone and I bury it in a folder. I also put a 15 minute limit on the app with the iPhone's screen time feature. Has helped me get from around 2 hours per day to under 1 hour on average. Many days I'm under 30 minutes.
Quarterly Review: have I made progress? Get my course done. Couples 30 minute planning time. Learning goals. Pivot. Fitness. Weekly Email newsletters. What can I do less of such as social media. Any block in my environment that demands time.
May I ask you to consider, before you answer, is the work and questions you share with us here similar to developing strategies? I am looking to prepare strategies for my life not unlike what Miss Clara is defining in The War Room. Because it is a movie, it does not show how to identify and build the strategies that are needed to live in this world. Where do I begin? What questions do I ask? What exactly do I look for to prepare the strategies? I am asking because you confessed to your Christ walk and I am a Christ follower, too.

Nice! Heard great things about the passion planner but haven’t used it yet myself. Bought it for my sister last year and she’s loved it.

Isheeria thanks for letting me know!
So OKR is like milestones for the quarter?
I’ve been watching your videos for about a month now and I was wondering how do you handle Social Media use especially on your smart phone?

OKRs Objective toward key results toward top objective.
