For authentic gelato, my choice is still Amorino where you can choose five flavors, all arranged around a cone to make it look line a flower. There are five stores in NYC and during a recent visit to Lourdes and Paris, I was so pleased to see several Amorinos. My favorite flavor is pistacchio.

Turci Pasta Orlando is my go to. It’s literally pasta made in front of your face, sauce made that day, and protein. With gelato they made that morning. Small place but worth it.

Looks delicious. In Italy they scoffed at gelato flavors that veered from a few basic flavors.Gelato uses less cream and more milk but is churned much more slowly so is much thicker than ice cream. Not surprised at the price. Should be a good value though given the quality of the dessert. Glad you enjoyed it. Sure looks yummy especially on a hot day!

So tempting. I've seen the lines, too.
So, on the same block I've stopped in for liquor-infused ice cream at less busy Aubi & Ramsa in the middle of the same block. There is a chain of these, including in S. Fl. A nice indulgence, too. Amongst scattered shops which do sell similar products.
I remember how long the line was during your live stream. Glad you got to go in there without so much of a wait. Pretty pricey though!

Why would it be a mistake eating it outside? You can alway drink the melted gelato.
