      I don't think it would take a decade . You have to understand that when the LCA programme was started you didn't have a semblance of an infrastructure . Now things are different . Many offshoots of the Tejas programme will find its way in the TEDBF.

    Rafale-M is already very small due to delta wing design, it doesn't need to add folding wings. Folding wings actually adds another point of possible failure so that point goes to Rafale. Rafale-M can carry storm shadow for anti ship role which is very good.

      Indian Navy isn't going for Growlers (Which are older variants that Australia and Canada have been using)
      They are planning to lease FA-18 SUPER HORNET BLOCK III which are different and come with many upgrades....

    • @subarnosinha8042
      @subarnosinha8042 2 года назад

      @@PS-ug7nm the Growlers (E/A-18G) is a dedicated electronic attack aircraft (hence E/A in the name) based on the Super Hornet (twin-seat) design that can come with all the modifications from Block-3 Super Hornet and then some. And no, Canada doesn't operate E/A-18G Growlers, a simple Google search will tell you that. Growlers entered service in 2004 replacing E/A-6B Prowlers, so these Growlers are less than 20yrs old in existence and are newer than Rafale-M. IMO interoperability with P-8I and MH-60R will massively boost Super Hornet's capability and if India goes for Growlers (IMHO they should) too then it'll be doubly as lethal. Indian forces can do with a dedicated electronic attack aircraft.

      Better to take F-21. The weapons are same, but the plane will be cheaper than F/A-18 and man its low drag and speed is awesome. It will beat Rafale in speed at low altitudes any given day.

      Aircraft compatible hona chahiye GE F414 zyada thrust generate karta ha Tejas MK1A ka F404 engine sa. Plus size ma thoda bada ha Tejas ka fucalarge ma modification karni pada ki jis sa performance par asar pada ga.

    Why navy keeps insisting on non catobar carrier is beyond me. Honest question even if we get f18's on numbers, launching them without full payload, how does that helps us? Unless navy refits the vikramaditya with a catapult, waise vikramaditya is due for mid life refit. Sooner they launch vikrant the sooner cochin can start on the refit.
