More like a tool box meeting up with a couple jack hammers. The super hornet is a dedicated multi role fighter that is great at everything while the strike eagles are dedicated air superiority fighters.
Not gonna lie. The way you slotted into formation with the F-15s had my eyes watering. That was dope. That sequence alone has replay value. Best content on YT.
Hornet my beloved! 🥰 Remember that you can hold Sensor Control Switch forward a second time while in HACQ (limited to 10 NM) for 0.8 seconds to go into LHAQ (long range helmet acquisition) which can lock out to 40 NM.
Somehow i find the HUD of the F-18 much more clear and concise and informative than most of the other modern jets. Anybody else, or is that just my years of BF3 piloting feeling at home in the F-18 HUD?
Yea man... The Hornet's always been my all time favorite US jet... I have built a smaller model of the original A-variant as a kid, complete with little side winders and sparrow missiles, dreaming of shooting down all them baddies... Just brings back memories. I'm 45 years old now... And then, today you bring out the super hornet, quite a beast considering it's daddy is quite an old, yet beautiful design. The F-18 Hornet will NEVER look old to me. Also, quite a leap in "multi-role fighter tech" the Hornet was; and probably still is to a large degree.
It blows my mind out boy never runs out of gas. Every external shot is in burner and I'm here just in awe that there is all that gas in that little hornet. Little being relative as I'm a F-15e lover so everything is smol. Anyway, good video and love the content.
So glad you are back! Thank you for using the arrows to highlight your screen. It is always never to see what you are referencing when you discuss data inputs on your systems.
Fantastic video. The super hornet is such a beautiful yet terrifying looking plane. Loved the meet up with the f15’s at the end, watched that back twice
Absolutely awesome video! 📼 I love all your missions, but I especially love the missions where all the US 4th Gen have a role, ie F/A-18, F-16 & F-15 working together 👍!
Something special about that high aspect shadow/silhouette of the Super Hornet...what an awesome bird, then linking up with the 15s is just icing on top. Great vid as always GS!
GS!!! I'm so glad you finally made this happen! I've been requesting this for so long! Love it! Such a gorgeous bird! Keep that awesome content coming! Would love to see more of your stuff in the Super Hornet
Impressive teamwork! As if you're the one that lead this mission for both USAF and USN with an amazing formation with two F-15s. For the 70th time, how about a knife-edged boss fight between a MiG-29/Su-27 vs Su-57 Felon? You're taking long to upload, but I know you're doing your best to upload among the best combat contents in DCS. Great Job!
If you go DMS UP Long (> 1sg) you'll go into Long HACQ instead of HACQ that has a range limit of 10 nm (LHACQ has no limit IIRC), that's why you could not lock the mig 29 at the beginning. Also TWS in the hornet works great, you should use it more. Anyway nice video.
Another amazing video by G.S!!!? You flew that Super Hornet so well!!! Edit: Looking forward to seeing more Super Hornet content!! Also really looking forward to even more Flanker content from you man!! Keep flying Ace!!! 💯💯💯💯💯🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
I'm wondering what is the function of the red flashing light on the horizontal stabilizers? I know there are beacon (anti-collision) lights mounted high on all aircraft, but that would be during normal operations. Certainly you would not have them on during combat?
And... sorry last comment. Can you let us know when flares or chaff are deployed and why? I've seen gun fights and BFM with guns only vids where flares are deployed. Or when an F3 is shot at you and you notch or beam. Would love to know your logic on when countermeasures deployed and why.
Your head movements look so smooth, my trackIR is not like that. Is that from expirementing with your settings over years or is there a secret Im missing out on for good head movement?
I have precision mode on, not sure if you do that. But if you ever want my profile it’s in the community section of my channel, unfortunately it’s pretty far down but it’s there if you really want it.

Great Content, Thank You GS.
Question, should your Super Hornet's exterior position marker/navigation lights be OFF during combat?
Maybe try switching from AA to AG or from F2 back to F3 to see if it'd fix the glitch next time
Day 16 asking for F-22 vs 10 MiG 21
The end where you link up with the F-15s looked so damn cool. Such a good video
RIP McDonnell Douglas
The Form up was sick ASF!
I cried.
Agreed!
I agree
Hornet joining formation with Eagles feels like the little kid palling around with the teenagers. 😂 "Hey guys... Can I hang out with you?"
More like a tool box meeting up with a couple jack hammers. The super hornet is a dedicated multi role fighter that is great at everything while the strike eagles are dedicated air superiority fighters.
Strike Eagles are multi-role aircraft through and through. You were thinking of the F15C's which are true air superiority@@troopdog23
The Hornet chasing the two eagles at the end on full AB felt a bit like "Hey guys wait for me! :D"
That is exactly what it is. With pilons, the super bug can barely go supersonic. The Tomcat drivers were always leaving them behind.
That was the hardest outro I have ever seen.
Thank you very much, much love.
16:44 Holy crap, the F15 fired the 9x at a target practically completely behind it. It pulled a full 150 degrees and took off like nothing happened
gimbal and afterburners of MiG-29 helps
Yup, nice display of high off bore sight capabilities.
That fox 2 by the f15 was friggin incredible
That combined close formation at the end: *chef's kiss*
Not gonna lie. The way you slotted into formation with the F-15s had my eyes watering. That was dope. That sequence alone has replay value. Best content on YT.
Hornet getting into formation with 2 F15's was just 🤌 chefs kiss
Hornet my beloved! 🥰 Remember that you can hold Sensor Control Switch forward a second time while in HACQ (limited to 10 NM) for 0.8 seconds to go into LHAQ (long range helmet acquisition) which can lock out to 40 NM.
I'm positive most of that sentence was English :-D
Somehow i find the HUD of the F-18 much more clear and concise and informative than most of the other modern jets. Anybody else, or is that just my years of BF3 piloting feeling at home in the F-18 HUD?
Hornet was designed with all this tech lots of other jets weren’t
F16 as well
The formation in the end was gangster af lmao, big bro 15’s saving lil bro f18
So nice to see you "live" to see the end of a mission. Been a minute...😉
That 9X just said no to physics and pulled a 360
Well, Raytheon is paid to deny physics...
Physics is also paid to change its rules
Sa5s are friggin deadly. Massive missile, massive warhead, dangerous air-denying range.
Instant KIA if hit.
Yet he defeated 5 of them without any real effort.
@@FlintIronstag23 So ? ...they are still deadly
@@emmano6340 Deadly *if they hit* and they are meant for bombers and early warning aircraft. The missile can't turn worth dick against fighters.
SA5 is old school, but you need to respect them. CW tracking, they are extremely vulnerable to HARMs.
Israeli F-16I guys underestimated the old SA-5 and got shot down when the missile chased them down from Syria over Lebanon
Funny how accustomed I've become to exceptional, cinematic-style video!
(So in case I haven't said it lately, GS - Awesome visuals!)
I appreciate you as always. Much Love.
Aw, gee shucks... ☺
F**king gear video my guy!! Especially the end fly over.. the chills are real, stay frosty
Seeing you use the Super Hornet made my day. I hope to see it on here more. Thank you.
For a second, I thought you were gonna fly right into your own JDAM..😂
I Love the final scene when The Super Hornet finaly join The Eagle's and they fly together..so cool!
Yea man... The Hornet's always been my all time favorite US jet... I have built a smaller model of the original A-variant as a kid, complete with little side winders and sparrow missiles, dreaming of shooting down all them baddies... Just brings back memories. I'm 45 years old now...

More Super Hornet please, so good
Loved this one! Thanks for showing the rest of the team in this mission!
That shot of the 15's in formation escort taking you home was pretty badass.
It blows my mind out boy never runs out of gas. Every external shot is in burner and I'm here just in awe that there is all that gas in that little hornet. Little being relative as I'm a F-15e lover so everything is smol. Anyway, good video and love the content.
The formation on the way out was sexy. Keep it up GS
This was a cool mission, loved seeing f-15, f-16 and f-18 all working together!
So glad you are back!
Thank you for using the arrows to highlight your screen. It is always never to see what you are referencing when you discuss data inputs on your systems.
Love the video man, the quality of your dcs content is spot on.
Great video and mission, the superhornet is one of my favorite planes and the final when you link up with the F-15s was awesome.
Fantastic video. The super hornet is such a beautiful yet terrifying looking plane. Loved the meet up with the f15’s at the end, watched that back twice
Dude, these videos are just so far and above the rest. Well done GS, bravo
thank you, appreciate you.
F-15 Eagle+HMCS+AIM-9X total off-boresight capacity!!!
Will be added to the F-15E strike later during early access
Absolutely awesome video! 📼
I love all your missions, but I especially love the missions where all the US 4th Gen have a role, ie F/A-18, F-16 & F-15 working together 👍!
The F-14 is beautiful, the F-35 is fancy, but the Hornet is just a all around badass jet that can fight and ground pound
Something special about that high aspect shadow/silhouette of the Super Hornet...what an awesome bird, then linking up with the 15s is just icing on top. Great vid as always GS!
11:41 is reminiscent of that BF3 F-18 mission we all remember
With that treetop flying you should rename your Super Hornet Olive Picker 😆Glad we got to see you form up with the Eagles at the end. Nice work!
Great video @GrowlingSidewinder ! Flight of all 3 fighters was awesome
Your F-18 forming up with the (2) F-15's and the bad ass tunes....killer! Great vid!
I wanna see more F/A18E Super Hornet. 😎
GS!!! I'm so glad you finally made this happen! I've been requesting this for so long! Love it! Such a gorgeous bird! Keep that awesome content coming! Would love to see more of your stuff in the Super Hornet
Love the multi-role videos! Good stuff as always. Any chance of a "Home on Jam" use of AIM-120 scenario?
Impressive teamwork! As if you're the one that lead this mission for both USAF and USN with an amazing formation with two F-15s. For the 70th time, how about a knife-edged boss fight between a MiG-29/Su-27 vs Su-57 Felon? You're taking long to upload, but I know you're doing your best to upload among the best combat contents in DCS. Great Job!
These mission vids are always the best! Especially with multi aircraft / multi mission co-op. Love it! Thanks for another great vid.
Seeing that Hornet form up with the Eagles was just plain sexy........
Any talk of a Block III Super Hornet MOD? Great video.
love this channel
That 9X decided to just ignore physics lol
Whoah, that was epic!! Looking forward to more of these 👏👏👏👏
Thanks, appreciated.
Cool Ending.
Super cool 😎
Love the weight wing effect when u dropped the 2000 pounds ordinances! Such level of details....
Before all the comments roll in, I love your videos, your content really cheers me up and I hope you keep delivering it🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Thank u for watching
Good to see pilots and aviators working well together
The boss music with the shot of the Eagles was a great touch.
I could watch these all day
hahaha.... some days, I do watch them all day. Endless supply of badassery.
awsome video. well done, love the diversity in the targets. and this game looks soooo good! thankyou for the videos.
You are getting really good at making these cinematic missions.
Just drove up to Whidbey Island. Love the sound of the fighter base. Very proud to be in Hornet country. Miss the A6's though.
This is what I'm talking about, real world scenarios! 👏
The link up with the F-15's 👏🏾
Is this, the normal CJS Superbug or a modified version of it ?
Cause, i see you using all 6 pylons.
Man, getting to see some combined ops with the 15s and 16s was great!
"you had a back-seater, the RIO. nothing was happening, so he just sat around drinking his coffee."
That globemaster pilot was doing some serious pilot shit himself aswell.. 🎉🎉 very nice vid
That was badazz.... love this channel.
I am guessing the beers are on you Growler for paving the way for the F15s and them covering your 6 in formation in rhe journey home!!
Air Force planes flying in formation with a Navy/Marine bird is not something you see everyday.
How cool is that?!?! 👍🏽
This is awesome! Please do more videos like this in the hornet!
Bout time we get a Rhino!
I had two F-15's from FANG fly overhead the other day. Always cool.
Love your content especially Super Hornet content I am Big navy guy myself so.
So, the Super Hornet is finally on DCS? Nice! 😀
You just might be one of the first men conscripted. Lol. You got mad skills my friend!
Excellent vid, as always!
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!
Another amazing video by G.S!!!? You flew that Super Hornet so well!!! Edit: Looking forward to seeing more Super Hornet content!! Also really looking forward to even more Flanker content from you man!! Keep flying Ace!!! 💯💯💯💯💯🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Very nice GW. Hope are guys are doing that well over there. 🙏🏻
The meet-up at the end was kinda cool.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is my favourite aircraft of ALL TIME.
Revvin' up your engine
Listen to her howlin' roar
YES!! I love the super hornet
06:16 | at high elevation and about 3 et lengths behind the Mig-29 ... something in the sky
9.15 End of side view vid. the farmers wants his oranges back!!! How loooow can U go?
why the superhornet has the external loads facing outward? I don't remember any other fighter carrying them like this. It is not aerodynamic.
I believe it was to solve the weapon separation problem and yeah them being canted 3 degrees does affect it but not a lot it’s barely noticeable
13:18 , what the flaak , im turning back into the aaa :P , nice
i'd love to se more superhornet films
Great presentation and field of view.
God I love the F-18E and F model so damn much, looks so much more capable than the legacy hornets
Great video. Can we get some with carrier landing and take off
Another great video. Would be good to see you do one from catapult on the carrier to returning vack and landing.
Would a 1000 lb jdam show up on radar as it comes in? The jet lining up is a telling sign, but...
I would assume yes lol.
I'm wondering what is the function of the red flashing light on the horizontal stabilizers? I know there are beacon (anti-collision) lights mounted high on all aircraft, but that would be during normal operations. Certainly you would not have them on during combat?

The F18 is an all around workhorse.
The super hornet ate well that day
