Oh my goodness this is spectacular and neat. Who knew...love this concept with crepe paper to add color. Thanks for sharing this beautiful. 🧡🌟🌞👍💖🌹🌝🌸☀️💚⭐❤🌻💜💗
Glad I found this one....I bought some purple crepe paper at the dollar store this a.m. to try ...I didn't know anything about how, but I knew I'd find a video in your library to help. I just really love how you use what's at hand..so natural, so textile, so "real"...your style is wonderful... I continue to learn things from you all the time and I thank you for sharing...you give me joy, and right now that is much needed . xoxoxoxo
Genius! I have noticed how wet crepe paper causes stains. What a great way to dye fabric and paper! The muslin looks exactly like sari silk! I am very happy to learn of this process!
This is the first time i have commented ever anywhere but you have been so inspirational that i had to. You have created such a deep well of creativity in me that I do not see anything anymore the same way.....I have always been a person to find a use for everything before recycling or thrashing it but you opened a new door to such beautiful possibilities. THANK YOU for your ideas, thoughts (and inner thoughts) and tutorials. I have become the energizer bunny, sleep when I am dead crafter. teehee
I remember, wet, crêpe paper, dying many things, my hands, my clothes, except. Now years later on doing it on purpose because of you! Who would’ve thought. Robin in Florida.
Love those, you must dream of junk journal recycling ideas. Nothing does to waste in your household. Love that idea too. Your using everyday items we all can get and not brake the bank. Love watching your channel and you explain how you did the project what you used and the results.. I am want try so many things I need to get the Halloween mouse finished first.
Beautiful! You’ve certainly inspired me to try this! Thank you for sharing. Your projects are gorgeous! YES! I’d put the little button/fabric flowers on the covers!
I love this project. You do wonderful things. It is hard to keep up with all your videos but I'm trying because you do excellent work. Keep on crafting.
I luv it all..so many diiferent things to try out and can use..my mind is going everywhere lol..what to collect, what to buy etc..thank you so much..I'm always inspired from what you're doing..
I found a well-washed ecru colored king-size sheet in the back of my linen closet. It's the color of calico (muslin) or as they call it down South, 'Domestic'. It tears beautifully and takes dyes well, and I don't think I'll ever be able to use it up! I will be making these ribbons soon, I was the party-giver in our family and have lots of streamers. Thank you for all the ideas to use up my houseful of supplies.
I always hate throwing away party supplies.. plastic table cloths become my new work space... Now I know what to do with streamers.. smart idea for the coregation cardboard pieces..
Love it ya figured out how to make it work!! Walmart streamers are not as color rich as the older ones are, but im privy to a box of old stuff i bought off ebay nearlt 8 yrs ago. I will have fun with it for sure. Love all your pretty things
You are so talented! I love everything you do. I started making the junk journals from the envelopes with the windows for my son and daughter. Thank you for sharing everything. 😊
What brilliantly creative ideas ! You have an amazing talent . I really love watching your videos - sooo inspirational . Thank you . Kind regards - Judi - Australia
Great ideal using the party streamers for colors. New colors are refreshing when tea stain is always being used. Will give this a try soon. Thanks for sharing 🤗
What a super neat idea! I will definitely be trying this out, I love the way it tuned out from leaving the streamer on the page like that, and the fabrics all turned out so dreamy! Great work, and thanks so much for sharing!
Like it I love everything you do Thank you so much for sharing this with me I cannot even go to bed I can’t stop watching But it’s 3:45am must go to bed bought some tracing paper today and don’t know what I’m going to do with it. ? Love your work sweetie
What a genius idea for dying fabric. I also love tearing strips of muslin that mimic seam binding. All extremely cost effective and faster than coffee and tea dying! Thanks!
I am happy that you had a good result from using party streamers or what we call crepe paper here in the US. I used to do projects with my school kids using wet crepe paper to dye projects. However lately all the crepe paper I have found no longer works. Apparently the manufacturers have found a way to make the colors permanent. Oh and regarding your fabric, what you are calling calico is called Muslin here in the states. We have a fabric called calico also but it is a cotton printed fabric with small flowers and other figures on it. Your fabrics and papers turned out pretty. Gloria 🐂
Gorgeous effects! How fun!
Tyfs darling!
Awesome Effect on the Fabric & Paper & More Economical Than Spray Inks. Thanks For the Inspiration! Kathy
