  • We’re seeing how we can dress up a Californified “Featureless” AR-15. So we start with a built lower from Aero Precision.

But then of course we have to remove the pistol grip and extendable stock so we replace those with a set from Thorsden Customs.

That takes care of the lower, now you own your serial numbered AR. It’s time to build out an upper. So we went to Palmetto State Armory and picked a 5.56 16” barrel with an M-lock for-end and included Magpul flip up irons.

Then it was time to think about optics and attachments so we decided to swap out our M-lock for a quad rail from Aero Precision.

Next it was time to mount some toys so we grabbed one of the new Streamlight TLR RM2 rail mounted light/laser combo units and slipped that on the front of the bottom rail. We mount the pressure pad and zero in that green laser.

Next we need to add a forgrip behind that light so we go to Magpull and pick up an AFG-2

Now, we’re almost done but it’s time to pick a fully featured optic system for our featureless rifle so we head to our tried & true EOTech and pick up an
    EXPS 2 Holographic with a G33 magnifier.

Now this featureless rifle is loaded up and ready to go. But one more final finishing touch should set it off. So we head to Veriforce Tactical to pick up a fake can that slips over our barrel and gives our 16” barrel that shorter CQB look that everyone loves at the range.

And with that, we’ve built out the most fully featured rifle we can while still calling it featureless and being legal in the Golden State.
    Happy building and enjoy
