Thank you for sharing new spots in Chinatown to eat and drink. I was going to give up on going to Chinatown, because my favorites were not good anymore. When I go to NYC I will check out these spots!!
The restaurants must love this publicity. Great video thumbs up subscriber. Your co-hosts are excellent and so is Fernando. Good food, prices, staff and cleanliness are all important.
Wow! All the spots look so good, all the staff and owners were super friendly, and the prices are unbeatable! Definitely going to have to check these spots out when I got to NYC!
Now I’m happy!!! The Bing Buzz with my OG John Barr!! With all new delicious places to add to my NYC itinerary!!! Thank you again for working so hard to provide this great entertaining content!! I appreciate you all so much!!!
My friend nails it again, it’s funny because I was wondering about great Chinese restaurants in NYC the other day. Always a pleasure to watch your videos, entertaining and very informative. 🙏
Excellent food video as always Jon. You nail it every time. Love the style. You always seem to pair up well with other food YouTubbers that you choose to do some of your food videos with. Seem nice people. Food looked decent.
Next time, add the extra sauces when you order the rice rolls at Yi Ji Shi Mo, they have sweet sauce, peanut and sriricha, you can also add sesame seed and top that with soy sauce. It'll elevate the flavor a lot more.
I know you and the wifey got a baby on the way... I wish you so much success! You have always shown my home city with such amplified respect and passion!! Thank you so very much! 🤗🤗
Thank you for going over to the dark side, vegan is an acquired taste and proud of you for trying and putting those places out there. When I was a kid I used to hop on the green bus line go from Howard Beach to Jamaica and would always have lunch at this Chinese place who’s name is lost to me. There specialty was you got a hamburger bun with chow suey on it in place of a burger. It was actually very good. Wonder if any of your followers remember such a place. Bill in Fort Wayne Indiana
Oh pure plain sugar cane juice so cool and refreshing I love it, there's a place near me where I was getting sugar cane juice but every time I've gone to get it lately they weren't able to get the sugar cane, I would watch them make it just like in your video just put the actual sugar cane stalk in the machine and that's it
I only ate at a few chinatown, Manhattan spots like the Malaysian Singapore beef jerky and two hands Korean corn dogs...both were amazing food options! I will keep the spots you mentioned in mind when I revisit NYC in November
Good Sunday Evening My Friend You Are Doing A Outstanding Job With The Food Reviews Thank You So Much For The Recommendations Much Love Always Ms British Gray From Tampa Florida Blessings :)
thank you for the vegan rec! I am mostly plant-based but I watch your videos for my hubby who eats meat :) we love restaurants that have options for both of us!
Those rice rolls look so good. I’ve never had it. Minimal ingredients too. Love the low cost. Great reviews + the sugar cane drink place. I’ll have to check that out to. I may need to leave work early to tour these places. I wish I still lived in Manhattan!
That Yi Ji Shi Mo noodle place looks amazing! I'm amazed at how quickly they were slicing up all the food on the prep area. Great to see that Spring Cafe has lots of vegan options! That Sugarcane drink looks amazing, too!
Nicely done as always Jon. Your collaboration videos always seem to be one of your best. It's nice to know you can get great food in Chinatown for around $5.00. Keep up the good work. I'll be watching. Please send my best to Adriana. Your friend Mike.
Great video. I've actually watched quite a few of your videos over the years. Not sure I know why it took so long to subscribe. You could not have picked a better couple to join you on this video. Love their personalities and taste in food of course.
Can you review dim sum places all over New York? I’m heading there in a week and I have no idea where to go! It would be so fun to see you try different dim sum places:)
I was actually blown away by White Bear in Flushing and I got there within minutes of them closing. I think it was the chili oil or something on it that brought it all together.
Yo. Hong kong style sponge cakes are #1 in the world. Nothing i've tasted will ever beat them. They don't get stuck in your throat, they slide. It's great for everyone, kids to seniors, bec it's so soft & moist. It's not cloying, like you eat one & you have a sore throat. Hong kong style cookies are the bomb if you like crispy, thick cookies. Like the 80s chips ahoy. Or if you know, chinese peanut cookies. I'm so mad my grandparents did not move to new york. I'm so stuck in a crappy asian country, the philippines. Why????
Yi Ji Shi Mo is awesome. Even though they are closed on Mondays I believe there is a food truck van at the end of the block that also keeps them coming out at a rapid pace. They charge about half that restaurant and the woman only speaks Chinese but I found no dip in Quality.
I love veg Chinese food, wheat gluten combination, bbq 'pork'..... In my city's Chinatown, it's a favorite place.... The chew is fantastic and the different flavors are alarmingly tasty, consistently so for over 30 years that I've enjoyed... 😋 ❤️👍 *ps, those rice rolls looked gorgeous also, and the spongey place, that's one of the reasons USA is the greatest ever.. Hopes and dreams realized. ✨️
Hiiii! I’ve been watching your videos lately because I’ll be visiting the city by the end of August. Thank you so much for your great work. Huge fan. I wanted to ask you, should I avoid visiting the city because of the monkeypox outbreak? Writing from Mexico. Once again, many thanks :)
What is the name or address of the Speakeasy? I am bring 2 of my friends for a tour of lower Manhattan next week. I want to show them a place like that.
lovely lovely great channel. do got something something to say about eatin that raw sugercane. in the countries where this is comon practice most young peeps go thru life without their front teeth and dental health does not get better.
Not anything like this here in my little SoCal city, just regular Chinese food... BUT (!) as tasty as the rice noodle rolls look it seems like it's all drenched in soy sauce (not that's a bad thing)
There is this st stand off Lafferty There will be long lines in the morning that sells the best rice dumplings I ever had in my life she sells out by 10 in the morning thus any one knows who iam talking about?
Here Be Barr-I don’t want to spoil your enjoyment of food/drink goodies, but do you think that this would be the appropriate time for you (and your wife?) to get checked for cholesterol and blood sugar levels as you continue your life journey? Many health plans have a provision for an annual physical. It’s best to catch any issues when you are young! Keep up the inspiring videos and your honest and positive outlook on life!
Interesting places to visit. FYI: there’s more and more Latin American workers in Asian restaurants and businesses, not just because of their work ethics, but because of the China lock downs, foreign Chinese and others Asians had a harder time to come to US so businesses took their workers where they can find them.
I'm coming to NYC for the holiday season. Your vlogs have given me soooo much advice. I was thinking of having a chinese meal for Christmas dinner. Any chance you could do a vlog on places to have Christmas dinner?. It would be great help. Keep up the good work.👍
Best casual Chinese in nyc flushing World food mail Real Sugarcane juice without lemon and ginger squeezed should be a non bailable offense just ask anyone from India where this originated Do you have pierogi without sour cream? Lol Keep the videos coming specially Astoria, flushing williamsburg and east village
Sugarcane you can drink all over south and Mitleid of American on the Streit ist Taste grate en you pay not more than a dolar ok ny es not cheap en any Thing but 7 bucks is ok
In this video, they say only in NYC, not really, how's about, ATLANTA, HONOLULU, FLORIDA, and CALIFORNIA, many places in the United States as I have traveled. In NYC other than canal street, how's about ELMHURST, and FLUSHING queens and not to many in BROOKLYN very bad, not worth going to. And to make stir fry is not that hard to make. Chinese food can get expensive but you need to know where to go, that's the secret. In Chinatown they want 16 50 for a half of PEKING DUCK, no way I rather make it myself, not hard but you need a lot of things to make it. Even CHAR SIU,they want big money, no way.

Chinatown carried me through college when I was living in NYC and poor af. I owe a lot to these store owners

I love the closed caption wording at the bottom. I nearly choked on my watermelon when they had "bowel" buns typed for the Spring Cafe. 🤣

Plain fried rice, fried rice with meat and veggies, white rice, fried noodles.
Most Asian restaurants in NYC will always hire Mexicans because they have a good reputation of working hard in the kitchen and being dependable.
Neighborhood pets dissapearing LOL 😂😂😂😂😂
"Mines mushroom so it's actually vegetarian" 06:53 Mushrooms are vegan 😂
🤣
