The best Australian rules footballer I have ever seen.

I went to this reserves game at Princess Park. The ground was packed for the reserves match, because of Ablett.

@HeiBred Do you recall that, for the last kick of that game, Gazza landed the ball on top of the goal post? I believe it was deliberate. Do you also recall how, in any match, every time he got near the ball, there was a palpable raise of excitement in the crowd, in anticipation that he might just do something exceptional? It was always a possibility.

Soccer is the greatest sport on Earth and is massive in over 240 countries. Afl is big in 4 Australian States. Soccer will be the number 1 sport in Australia by 2050 yduvb

@@mufc510 Biggest, but "greatest" is a very subjective description. It is nowhere, not ANYWHERE near as spectacular as AFL.
Soccer highlights are great, but how many per game do you get to see?
On the other hand, I've lost interest in the AFL anyway, because it has become too politicised.
All sport is becoming damaged by politicisation, and all players who take the jab will have very short life expectancies.
That's what the jabs are designed to do.
We are at war with the Globalists.
Until they are defeated, sport is trivial.

Mitch, Hitch, Jen, Quarters, Eddie and 32 years later they're all still going strong. Was lucky enough as an impartial footy supporter to go to my first grand final in 1989. Unfortunately as a club supporter I was at '97, '09 and the '10 replay.

Can't believe how young Peter Hitchener looked in 91. Peter Mitchell looks like he just finished high school

Thankfully he did return, I was around 6 years old when this happened so when I started to follow the Australian Football League in 1993 and decided to support the Cats, I believe I was really lucky to have seen such a talented player on the football field.

@@paulohara8967 I was born in 1981, so I was around 12. Imagine the influence on me as I was almost in my 7th yr of school. Seen Gazza in person, and had an autograph as a little boy at Kardinia Park during a training session. But got lost in the years of my life, as many things do.
But the memory is crystal clear, which matters most. Epic VFL/AFL legend of the best era ever, the 80's & 90's.... :)
